Video of Nigerian pilot not paying after $£x emerges online after he was accused of s£xually hārassing a lady (Watch)


A lady by the name Anike Ade opened the floodgates by alleging that a pilot, with the X handle @realgirima, picked her up from her residence in Ikorodu and tried to r@pe her in his residence.

She shared screenshots where she warned the man that she would not sleep with him if he came to get her from her house as he promised and the pilot said it was all right.

Anike Ade said she stressed this to the man both orally and in SMS because she needed to go out to Gbagada for work as early as 6 am the following day.
She claimed the pilot said it was not a problem as he would also drop her off at the location in Gbagada the following morning.

However at night, the man asked for s3x and the lady refused, telling him they had an agreement.

Anike Ade shared voice recording wherein the pilot can be heard begging the lady for intercourse.

Anike alleged that the man grew impatient and angry at a point and pushed her, but said she was able to talk herself out of the situation.

She later took to X to call out the man.
Interestingly, other ladies who claimed to have had similar experiences with the same person joined the thread.

Hours after Anike's post on X, Nigerians dig up old video of him being accosted by ladies of easy virtue for refusing to pay them after s£x in Lagos.

The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, has been drawn to some needless misrepresentation of the concerns of the Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede to the rising incidences of internet- related crimes involving youths across the country.  

At a recent meeting with some representatives of Civil Society Organisations, CSOs that paid him a courtesy visit, he called for wider media enlightenment of youths as a counter- measure against the menace of internet fraud. He did say that reports and intelligence available to him indicated that, unless this trajectory of youth involvement in internet fraud is addressed and reversed, the future of their leadership of our great nation may be threatened and if it continues in the next 10 years, 7 out 10 of our youths may be getting involved in cybercrimes. At no time did he say that "seven out of 10" Nigerian students are criminals". His concerns still bother on breaking the jinx of mass indulgence of youths in cybercrimes. 
 
The EFCC wishes to assure the public that Olukoyede is doubly committed to the progress of Nigerian youths and this underscores his calls for collaborative interventions in offering them more productive and sustainable alternatives.

3 Oyo monarchs die in road accident

tragedy struck Friday in Ogbomoso as three traditional rulers in the Oriire local government area of Ogbomoso zone in Oyo state lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident at Arinkinkin area Ogbomoso while going to the funeral party of the mother of a brother to a traditional ruler, Oloolo of Oolo, Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi.

The deceased Obas are Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula, and Alayetoro of Ayetoro, all from the Oriire local government. Their names could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

They were said to be on their way to the party when the accident occurred following their vehicle ramming into an oncoming truck.


Olodogbo was confirmed to have died on the spot but it’s unclear at what point the other two passed away.

A source at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso confirmed the incident to Ogbomoso Insight Online informing their bodies were deposited in the hospital’s morgue.

It is also revealed that the fourth victim who sustained injuries is being attended to in the hospital “but he doesn’t look like an Oba,” the source said.

Relevant authorities are now looking for a boy after a video of him boasting about forcefully lying with a girl went viral.

In the shocking video, the boy is heard narrating how the girl refused to have s3x with him and told him she was afraid of getting pregnant.

He explained that he had shaved and was ready for s3x but the girl begged him and told him she was scared to take part in the act.

Despite the lack of consent, he explicitly detailed how he held onto the girl and forcefully penetrated her.

The Lagos State Domestic and S3xual Violence Agency has now reacted to the video.

They called on the victim or anyone who has information to reach out.

The governor and the monarch attended a ceremony in Ondo State. The Governor is seen greeting dignitaries seated on the high table at the occasion and the Ooni stood up with his right hand extended for a handshake.

The governor appears to deliberately by-pass the hand to greet other dignitaries.

However, another clip of the governor and Ooni shaking hands and conversing at the same event has since been posted by those at the occasion to kill the rumour of there being a bad blood between the two dignitaries.

MTN customers’ debt cancellation: customers lament service disruption (Screenshot)

Following a 'system glitch' in the early hours of Saturday that caused a cancellation in the debt of subscribers owed to the company, some customers have been lamenting MTN service disruptions.

After the system glitch, the company clarified amid jubilation from subscribers who thought the telecom operator intentionally cancelled their debt. In a post on X, MTN stated that a glitch was responsible for the cancellation, adding that balances will reflect accurate figures once the problem is solved.

But after this system glitch incident, the frustration and anger among MTN customers continued to mount as they experienced service disruptions following the system glitch. Many customers took to social media platforms like Nairaland and Twitter to air their grievances and seek answers from the telecom company.

One customer shared her ordeal of being unable to use her data despite having a significant balance and not being able to make calls. She recounted her unsuccessful attempts to resolve the issue by contacting MTN customer service, as they claimed the fault was not on her end. This lack of clarity and assistance from the company only added to her frustration.

To her surprise, she discovered that many others were facing similar problems, further fueling speculation that MTN was deliberately punishing its subscribers for the earlier debt cancellation glitch. This theory was echoed by another Nairalander who questioned the company's intentions and expressed disbelief at their actions.

However, not all customers saw the disruptions as a deliberate act. Some users, like @CilicMarin, reported that paying their borrowed airtime immediately resolved the issue, suggesting that the service disruption could be linked to outstanding debts. Another Nairalander, @naptu2, shared their experience of receiving a misleading message about their data being finished when it hadn't, highlighting a potential problem with MTN's communication.

The dissatisfaction extended beyond MTN as another customer mentioned similar issues with Glo, another telecom network. They claimed that after clearing their airtime debt, their network was restored. This further fueled the discussion around whether the service disruptions were related to debt collections or technical glitches.

As the discussions continued online, MTN remained silent, failing to address the concerns and complaints raised by its customers. This absence of communication only added to the frustration and dissatisfaction among users who expected swift action from the telecom giant to rectify the situation.

Amidst the growing discontent, customers were left wondering if these disruptions were intentional or the result of technical challenges. The lack of transparency and communication from MTN only served to exacerbate the situation, leaving subscribers feeling unheard and dissatisfied with the company's response.

Why Igbos are migrants from Ile-Ife, as posited by Ooni Ogunwusi

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has posited that there is documented evidence that shows the Igbo race migrated from Ile-Ife in Osun State.

The monarch stated this while challenging Nigerian academics to properly document the history of the Yoruba race, rather than relying on biased history.

According to him, proper documentation will reveal the ties between ethnic groups, providing evidence that the Igbo race migrated from Ile-Ife.

The Ooni, while speaking with journalists, noted that there is an Ile-Igbo in the palace, which was not recently created but has existed there for decades.

"For these and many other reasons, I believe that we need proper documentation of our history. We are not involving the government in this project so that we can put all the facts together. We must write our history properly and present things in the correct manner for future generations," Ooni stated.

Reacting to this, an anonymous person revealed many correlations between Yoruba and Igbo language and culture.

He said, "Ndi Yoruba and Ndi Igbo have too much and too many things in common. For example: ifa/afa, omi/mmiri, enu/onu, ogede/ogede, apo/apa, akwati/akpati, eran/anu, ewure/ewu, okuta/okute, ologbo/ologbo, and many more.

This confirms Wikipedia's finding that the Igboid languages form a cluster within the Volta-Niger phylum, most likely grouped with Yoruboid (Yoruba) and Edoid (Edo).

The Alumni Association of Ikolaba Grammar School, Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State (2000 set), has extended heartfelt congratulations to Olukayode Ariwoola Jr., the son of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, as he becomes a judge of the Federal High Court.

The Director of Information at the National Judicial Council (NJC), Soji Oye, recently announced his nomination, as well as other nominees. The NJC unveiled his nomination among 23 candidates for the esteemed position of judge at the Federal High Court.

The candidates, including Olukayode Ariwoola Jr., will be appointed as judges at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

Members of the Alumni Association, including Taiwo Oluwadare, Olanrewaju Amos, and Biyi Jesufemi, were effusive in their praise and felicitations for their esteemed fellow alumnus.

Noting Olukayode (Jr.) Ariwoola's outstanding qualities as a lawyer, as well as his exemplary track record, the association expressed their unwavering belief in his suitability for the esteemed position on the Federal High Court.

The members also took the opportunity to address the concerns raised about potential bias in the selection process, given Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola's position as the chair of the National Judicial Council (NJC).

Reminiscing about the brilliant of the CJN's son during their secondary school days, the members marveled at his determination and brilliance, citing his outstanding results in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

According to them, Olukayode Ariwoola Jr. achieved a perfect score of A1 parallel, earning him the opportunity to pursue a career in the sciences. However, he astounded his peers by opting for the arts, stating that he aspired to follow in his father's footsteps as a lawyer.

The association appreciated Olukayode Ariwoola Jr. for bearing a striking resemblance with his father, both in physical appearance and demeanor. They viewed this as a testament to his desire to uphold his father's legacy and contribute to the legal profession.

The statement read in part: "Olukayode Jr. Ariwoola was a determined and brilliant student during our secondary school days. We recalled when we sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), a JSS 3 examination to be promoted to Senior Secondary School, young Ariwoola scored A1 parallel.

"In those days, students with the best results were considered for the Science class and those with the worst results were considered for the Art class. But to our utmost surprise, Ariwoola Jr. opted for the Art class. Surprised by this decision, we asked why he preferred Art to the Science class, but his reply was, 'my dad is a lawyer, and I want to become a lawyer like my dad.'

"Olukayode Jr. Ariwoola, who has the same facial mark as his dad, walks like his dad, and has the same look and name as his dad, shows he is following the footsteps of his wonderful father, and critics should rejoice with them rather than criticizing them.
