Sin is often fueled by selfish desires, greed, jealousy, or hatred - all negative emotions that can be seen as weapons used against us in the spiritual realm. Sin is a tool that the forces of evil can use to separate us from our divine source and hinder our spiritual growth. Thankfully, the Bible offers solutions to combat these spiritual attacks and the power of sin. Through repentance and seeking forgiveness, we can break free from the grip of sin and restore our relationship with God. In James 4:7-8, it says, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God, and he will come near to you."

In conclusion, sin can be seen as a spiritual attack according to the Bible. It highlights the existence of unseen forces seeking to harm individuals and the role sin plays in providing an entry point for these attacks. Another private plane land crash in Ibadan with 10 persons aboard


A private jet having about 10 persons onboard including Very Important Personalities (VIPs) has crash-landed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

An impeccable source said the jet crash-landed on Friday around 11 am at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport.

The jet with registration number, N580KR, missed the runway into the nearby bush.

Firefighters and rescue officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) were immediately deployed to the scene. But there was no death or casualty recorded.

“It was a private plane from Abuja. It landed safely but overshot the runway. There was no casualty,” a spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Carol Adekotujo, told our correspondent over the phone.

Fortunately, I had previously enabled two-step verification on my WhatsApp account. So when the hacker asked me to provide him with the verification code, I knew it was a red flag. The hacker even had the audacity to call me back, insisting that I give him the verification code. Thanks to the security of the two-step verification, I was able to protect my account and prevent any unauthorized access.

Enabling two-step verification is easy. Simply go to the WhatsApp settings, click on Account, and then select Two-step verification. From there, you can enable this feature and create your own six-digit PIN. It is also recommended to provide an accurate email address, as WhatsApp can send you a link to disable two-step verification in case you forget your PIN.

It is important to note that WhatsApp will never ask for your verification code or PIN. If you receive any such requests, it is likely an attempt by hackers to gain access to your account. Be vigilant and never share your verification code or PIN with anyone.

Additionally, if you forget your PIN and have not provided an email address, you will not be able to reverify your phone number on WhatsApp for seven days. After this period, you can reverify your number, but all pending messages will be deleted. If you have not used WhatsApp for more than 30 days without your PIN, your account will be deleted, and a new one will be created upon reverification.

The Federal Character Commissioner from Oyo State, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela has commiserated with the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Moshood Olalekan Balogun, Chief Niyi Akintola SAN, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun, former Deputy Governor of Oyo-State and others over the recent explosion that ravaged parts of Ibadan, the state capital.

In a statement personally signed by him, Olowofela who was Commissioner for Education also sympathised with the victims in the pathetic incident.

He expressed his sadness and prayed for the quick recovery of those injured in the explosion. He also praised the swift response of the state government and emergency agencies in addressing the situation and providing relief to affected individuals and communities.

Olowofela, who is a native of Ibadan, emphasized the need for unity and cooperation in moments like these. He urged the people of Oyo State to come together and support the government in its efforts to rebuild and rehabilitate the affected areas.

As the Federal Character Commissioner, Olowofela also highlighted the importance of ensuring equitable distribution of resources and opportunities. This tremor would be around 3 on Ritcher Scale. Seismic activities have been experienced in 1984 around some part of Ibadan and Ijebu Ode. It may be high time University of Ibadan set up the Seismic Station.

"This seismic events occur naturally and can be induced by explosives, the likes of what happened recently.

"I implored a representative of Geological Department of University of Ibadan and Geophysicist from the Department of Physics of the University to be included in the Committee investigating the primary and secondary causative issues of the crisis.

"We pray that, we shall not experience such a dastardly event again Oyo-State again", he stated.

Contrary to the lingering and alleged malicious stories in the last few days both in print and electronic media, Ahmodu Bello University (ABU) has confirmed the authenticity of certificate of Muheeba Dankaka, the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission.

Ahmodu Bello University Registrar on January 16. 2024 clarified that the certificate issued to Dankaka is genuine.

The public speculation that Dankaka was also invited by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has also been confirmed as false.

It will be recalled that there was a petition against Dankaka revolving around the varying names on her educational certificates.

It was however gathered that the different names listed on Muheeba Dankaka's certificates are all variations of her true identity. Report says her father's name, Salawu, is sometimes pronounced or written as Salau while her given name, Muibat, may also be written as Muiba or Muheeba.

Journalist cries out after petrol she dropped for security woman at UI gate disappeared (VIDEO)

A female journalist has expressed grievance after her petrol she kept with a security woman manning gate of University of Ibadan disappeared. According to the disgruntled journalist, she asked the security woman at the second gate of the university if she could leave her petrol at the gate to avoid fire incidents, and the security woman gave permission.

However, when she returned to where she left the fuel, it had disappeared. While reacting, she said the security woman suggested it may have been stolen, but refused to provide contact information of the cleaners who suspected to have stolen it or show footage from the CCTV cameras.

The journalist became angry and recorded the conversation, mentioning they are a journalist. Another security woman offered to contribute money to compensate for the lost fuel, but the journalist pointed out that theives also took the keg. The journalist attempted to report the incident to an engineer, but the first security woman called and persuaded her not to go, eventually she was given an empty keg and she left without her petrol with suspected foul play.
