We met in a funny way that's why I said if there's any scam it's me.

Thanks man I appreciate.

What they are saying is I should come through studies, applying for a degree, is that your stand too?
If you are positive you will complete your degree this year, send application to a school abroad for MSc or PGD (depending on your 2-1 or 2-2 class), and ask your friend to pay the application fee. If he can do that, then I may be wrong.

Study path is the only way. He must not even be included as a sponsor in your application.

All he has to do is pay your tuition when the time comes, and then you show proof of living expense to VOs (without stating that he is your sponsor). You should have a talk with him so that he will understand.

The proof of personal fund must be a constant flow of income before the application date, not a lump sum.

So, think about it.

The problem I have now is I don't which kind of visa category I should be working towards on
For one who seemingly loves philosophy and logic, I see a lot of logical loopholes in your analysis. (I have reviewed many of your posts)

I will advise you to be very careful.

If there's any scam, I'm the one.
That is what many people think.

If I want to scam you, it will be very easy, if you go by this logic.

Anyway, everyone has advised you based on what they think you should do.

The ball is now in your court.

he paid with his card.
P.S.... I know you're with the guy, I haven't seen you post anything till today. You said we not agreed. Meaning you're involved. Bro just forget it. Let him just reverse it.
That was typographical error on his part. (we not agreed was meant to be were not agreed)

I understand his point though.

You should get in touch with the school and make some enquiries, while letting them know what has happened.

The Bursary department in the school will be able to guide you better.

Oreoluwamipo:
Will I have to send my application link to the person overseas ?
Not necessarily.

If they trust you, they can send card details to you on the spot... They can do this over the phone for security reasons.

Otherwise, you may have to send your link to them.

Please how did you guys pay for your application fee? cry cry cry
Ask someone you know to pay from overseas

Or

Create a dollar account and use a dollar card to pay

Or

Ask someone you know to pay for you through their dollar account.

I'm so sorry, I couldnt save the link(only screenshots) but it was shared on this thread. Lekiboboe please come to our rescue as I've been replying NL mails since the past 2 hours.

OBSERVATION: Based on the MAILS I received from IRCC yesterday, and one shared by one us here, it's been confirmed that NIGERIA is now processing our APPLICATION, and I think this is goodnews. I believe this will shorten/lessen the processing time, am loving this!

Wishing everyone the BEST!
'Confirmed' is a very strong word.

'Very likely' or 'Probable' seems more suitable.

Dear Family,

When you finally get your PPR, it is advisable you migrate to the Nairaland Thread that is for those who are already residing in Canada and who are advising one another concerning settling in Canada, finding part time jobs, traveling out, etc.

You can stay here if you want to help. But honestly, at some point you need to think about the next step you have to take, and taking that step is imperative.

For every stage you get to in life, you must endeavor to move along with caution and wisdom.

May your deepest wishes be fulfilled.

It will end in praise
Thank you very much for your kind words.

May your wishes materialize by God's grace.

The guy just wants to sponsor me out of this place, you know make I live for a better place.
What do you mean I should show proof of relationship? In what context I mean? We are friends.
For that financial commitment I think he is, and he is very Capable
Now, this cracked me up.

Friendship is also a relationship. Proof of relationship means proof that you and this person are close friends at the very least.

However, your visa application cannot fly with the conditions you have stated.

The only way to make this fly is if you submit an application to a school for an academic program (MSc, PGD, etc.), successfully accept an offer of admission, and then ask your friend to pay your tuition.

You will then have to concern yourself with accumulating more than 10000 CAD living expenses. It is imperative you have this fund in your account as a steady accumulation over a long period of time (e.g., a year) rather than a lump sum.

I'm here again oo, I just received my Child's PPR message
few minutes ago, but surprisingly it came as an email from one of Nairobi's email addresses, with the attached PPR letter, I dont know what to make of this shocked.

I didnt get any of those no-reply-cic messages from IRCC. What to dohuh

Edited: And I just checked my GC account to see application cancelled, could this be a system glitch or what? This is confusing really.

Anyways, it's a PPR News, ALL GLORY TO GOD ALMIGHTY, IT SHALL SURELY END IN PRAISE FOR US ALL.
This is wonderful. I'm very happy for you and your family. It looks legit, so you have nothing to worry about.

Congratulations!

May God continue to bless your journey in life.

Please, next time, do not make deals with random people, especially when it has to do with a lot of money. Trusting doesn't come easy to me.

This mess you are in is not nice at all.

For your own good, learn to do virtually everything by yourself, and concerning the things you can't do, go through the 'proper formal' channel.

May God see you through this.

I wish you all a Happy Sunday!

For those who are traveling soon, It shall be a safe and delightful journey by God's grace. Canada is a nice country, but our purpose in life is much bigger than any location we find ourselves in.

Let us endeavor to be a blessing unto this world wherever we are. Let's make a positive difference, not just for our beloved families, but also for mankind. Let's be kind, polite, and gracious towards our neighbors. No one knows when his or her last hour will come in this life.

As for the rest of us still waiting, I pray God grants us our heart desires. But more importantly, may God's will be done.

Mine even showed Application updated.

And I'm not allowed to access the main portal.

It's clear they are working on it at the moment.

But on a Sunday?
Same here.

I pray it ends in praise for all of us.

May God sanctify our visa applications. May He shower us with His abundant grace.

And may we come to glorify His Holy name afterwards.

Thanks @ Spectro,

Just to buttress this point, reading as many as possible pages and post on this platform help you mitigate against fraudster who disguise as helper, it allows you garner more vital iinformation that are tailored towards your need, it helps identify who & who you should really contact for the kind of help you require to solve your problem.

It is easy for everyone to type, but the reliability, validity & efficacy of what is type really count.

I wish I had join this group since Oct 2020 when I started my research, my only mistake (which I'm praying wouldn't cost me a refusal even though I addressed it and I also genuinely want it) would have been avoided.

I can say I joined at the right time too, when I needed to submit my application, I read from 200 plus till over 300 ( walai e no easy), the gurus on this platform are helpful like mad, you mail them they will attend to you. I had issues concerning my SOP, I mailed Lekibobe and boom transformation enter the SOP I sent to him, it saw light.

My point is, this things no easy, but we gats try dey read small small to avoid them crocodile way open mouth dey find who to prey on.

Na still all of us go chop bbreakfast

Quote author=Spectro post=101065741]My little piece of advice.

Please, endeavor to read many, if not all, of the previous posts on this Canada student visa application Nairaland.

I discovered that questions are repeated so many times because prospective applicants do not take their time to go through many of the previous posts. When I started out, I wasn't asking questions because I ensured I looked through many of the posts on this platform. Hence, if I ever asked a question, it had to be unique/new. You will find that answers to many, if not all, of the questions being asked have been answered sufficiently in previous posts.

Secondly, I really have to acknowledge and respect the effort of those who are taking their time to help others. Honestly, helping people does not come easy... It requires sacrifice and some amount of effort. Even when your effort isn't perfect and when you make mistakes, the good thing is that you are not alone, and some people help balance out the mistakes you have made. So, you deserve great respect.

I know that once my visa gets approved, I will leave this platform. But while I'm still here, I will continue to appreciate all of you. Stay blessed and enjoy your weekend.
Your visa application will end in praise by God's grace. You will rejoice soon.

Abeg, when it comes to arguments, let's learn to do so politely.

If someone posts something you consider to be misinformation, do not harshly castigate the person. Everyone has a right to express their view.

Instead, give your candid advice/suggestion to the person who asked a question, and let that person make their decision.

If you continue to castigate other people because you think they are mis-informing other people, it is not good, and the person will not be happy about it.

Just drop your own helpful suggestion to whoever needs it, and let them choose which of the suggestions they want. No need to quote anyone whose suggestion you have a problem with.

We all came to help, remember that. That alone should be treated with respect.

I think this is one advantage of graduating with 2.2, atleast one can apply to colleges for Post graduate cert, unlike 2.1 where your first search is to look for supervisor before long wait for admission.
No, not true.

There are two types of Masters program

1. Coursework
2. Research

If you submit an application for coursework, looking for a supervisor is not a requirement.

Pinkey2021:
Let me officially introduce myself.

I’m not very new although I’m new!

I’ve been lurking in the backgrounds of Nairaland since early 2020 after I submitted my first application. And my! Have I grown since then.

I first heard about this place from a Nigerian-Canadian YouTuber sometime mid 2019.

After my first application, I became an active reader and soon realized the mistakes with my application. Even before the refusal came I knew I would be refused because my application was just rubbish

But since after the delay, I’ve read and learned a lot from the gurus and expert here starting from as far back as thread 13! I became an active reader from thread 15 till date.

I’ve just reapplied after all the life changing nuggets that I gleaned from gurus like @frankrobbn1 @justmellow and some other very old names I can’t mention now.

I was in the background live when @Luckymama @fratermathy and the rest were here doling out advices and tips. I even remember when @Lekiboboe joined and asked his first question And today he’s a guru of repute even though he would want us to believe he’s not. My brother only God almighty will reward you for all your efforts and time given to this thread.

Here’s my timeline as it stands now:
First Application: April 25, 2020
Biometrics: Sept 24, 2020
BVL: Sept 25 2020
Refusal: Sept 26

Second Application
Deferred program to Fall (Sept), 2021
Upfront Medical: Feb 25, 2021
Submitted: Mar 4, 2021 with MBS
Background Check: Mar 5, 2021

On 11th Mar (7days after I applied, I realized I mistakenly opted ‘NO’ to that infamous question about if one has been denied Canadian visa or any other country visas before. I quickly filled out a new e1294 form with the correct info and sent via webform. At the same time I sent a very compelling email to all the IRCC email addresses individually, pleading with them that it was an honest mistake.

Only Beijing and Edmonton I think responded that they’ve received my new form and updated my application with it. The email also assured me that my application is still being processed.

So, that’s where I am currently in my journey. I decided to become active by rendering solutions to the best of my knowledge and capacity to anyone who requires it. I’m not a guru though. I’m just someone whom Nairaland Canada visa thread has helped a great deal.
