madamg:If after deducting tuition and other academic related expenses, you have at the very least 10,000 CAD, I believe you are good to go. But you will really have to explain this to the VO. The VO needs to understand that you made some payments, etc... And you must attach all the proofs. What's important is showing that you have a minimum of10,000 CAD after all academic related expenses have been made. I am not too sure, but I think this 10,000 CAD may be your pocket money as you land in Canada, so you may also have to factor in other expenses like plane ticket, transportation cost to Canada, etc... It's always good to have above the said amount. When you say he is moving the second term tuition, what exactly do you mean? I should add that if the finances look really forced and hard, the VO may not be amply convinced. He or she would think your study abroad is not worth the immense financial sacrifice. |
ooa1st:Thanks a lot for this. Your application was moving at lightning speed until the issue with Zenith bank. It's a painful setback, but you will rise above it. It will end in praise for us by the Grace of God. |
Ade2303:Hmmm, why not ask the person to go for a PGD instead? You are seeking schools with the following conditions 1. High acceptance rate 2. Low tuition 3. Accepts second class lower division. That almost sounds illogical to me for the following reasons. This is Canada, not Germany with many schools looking for students. People dey rush Canada like mad. 1. If a Masters program has a high acceptance rate, it will definitely prioritize first class and second class upper division. Hence, there's a lower chance for 2-2. This is because a lot of first class applicants and 2-1 applicants will rush the sugary opportunity na... And a school can only have limited space for the students she can accept. 2. Low tuition? Then you get the picture. Many more applications will be submitted, and then there will be high competition for limited space. There may be one or two schools that are exceptions, but from the perspective of logical reasoning, I don't see how that is possible. |
madamg:Your listening score is somewhat low, considering how Canada places high emphasis on the listening test. Regardless, I have no idea if it will impair your chances... I'll let the gurus address that. As for cash, 30,000 Canadian dollars is equal to approximately 10 million Naira, going by the IRCC/Mid-market rate. But then, other factors matter here... The tuition of your chosen college/University and the information on your bank statement. For example, 1. Is the closing balance more than 30,000 CAD? (Remember, your spouse is your sponsor, and it is expected that he must have something left for himself too). 2. Has there been moderate inflow and outflow? 3. Did a lump sum suddenly appear? 4. Is the bank statement authentic? 5. Is the bank statement yours, your parents', your spouse's, or someone not very close? 6. Are there other documents attached to reflect sponsorship commitment, signature, etc.? I don't need you to answer these for me, but you get the picture. |
Olubs80:If you are using GT bank, you can generate it by using GTworld app If you are using Access bank, the only way is to go to the bank. You will be given a ticket with a password and another code printed on it. Conclusion: It depends on what bank you are using. |
RELAN2446:Minute changes such as Application submitted Application updated Etc... They are not accompanied by letters or documents. |
RELAN2446:It will later change back to 'submitted'. I believe this is because you uploaded/emailed some documents to your portal/IRCC and they are letting you know that the documents have now been added to your previous documents. |
Frankrobbn1:I thought so too. It came really fast. I just hope this is a sign of great things to come. Thanks a lot, Frankrobbn1 |
mobbwc:How about taking the CBT instead? If you are very good at typing, this should favor you. I scored much higher with the CBT than pencil-on-paper You will also have access to headphone |

olabisi6438:Wow, the wait is real! Yours is since December. Sometimes ehn, the best thing to do is to just take your mind off it and focus on something else before it starts taking a toll on your health. I will just wait for their mails and check back in June. I 'cannor' come and 'kee' myself. I submitted my application in March though. |
RxOtunba:Bro, I don commot whatsapp for now... I dey under the weather. But when I return, I go holler at you. I removed the app completely. I hope you are safe and well. |
DianneM:Good morning, DianneM I hope you and your family are keeping safe. I applied last year's March, and received my acceptance letter on 16/04/2021. I deferred my admission afterwards, because of the Covid 19, and because I had other things I was doing at the time. So, logically I'd say it took about a month for final decision to be made. |
Wifefo88:Congratulations! Have a splendid experience in Canada. |
Rootiab:God bless you abundantly! We will all hear great news. |
Rootiab:Thank you for your apt and kind responses to other people's enquiries. Please, how does one send via email? Do you have an idea what the email address is? How does one send through webform too? I am new to this. |
Mami1:Good morning, friend Please, how does one handle the aspect of proof of funds? Does showing them cash count, or does it have to be some sort of bank statement? |
I don't know if this is a Nigerian thing, but damn, we really don't know how to respond to issues affecting other people's lives. Many people here on nairaland, and all over the country do not understand that depression is much deeper than circumstantial experience. Just like perfectionism, Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, Paranoia, Anorexia nervosa, Bulimia nervosa, and a host of other mental illnesses, depression is an enduring illness that only depressed people understand perfectly. The pain they go through cannot be understood by the rest of you. There is a lot going on inside, that even if they lived in the most comfortable circumstances, the pain might still endure. Of course, tragic events stir up suicidal thoughts in them, but there is so much more to depression than most people know. So, if you can't respect the dead by pitying them and asking them to rest in peace, shut the f-up! |
jonosas:We will all get to celebrate the success of our visa approvals by God's grace. Our endeavor and documents are blessed. |
Klianud:Very true. May 2021 is very close. My resumption date is actually September 9, 2021. So, I guess I can wait for a while. Congratulations on getting admission. I believe another great news (Visa approval) is approaching. It will end in praise by God's grace. |
Klianud:Oh, great. I see you've started your visa processing already. It will end in praise by God's grace. I haven't started mine. I want to pay for a semester's tuition first. I just hope it won't be too late when I start later in this month. |
RxOtunba:Awesome, congratulations! Mine is September 2021 also. I already sent you an email too. Your documents are alright, from all that you listed on here. Just keep them true and verifiable. |
RxOtunba:Good evening, bro. When are you commencing your program at Windsor? Is it a Master's program? I'm also preparing to commence my program at The University of Windsor. |
Enskynelson, for all the good stuffs you do on here, I pray God enriches you abundantly. You guide and support other people freely and happily, and I think that is quite huge. I am just an observer on here, we haven't really met; we probably won't. But I pray you experience perpetual joy for a lifetime. |
deommanuel:Bro, I notice you help a lot on here. I'm inspired actually. Are you presently in Canada, or are you also applying for a Visa? If it so happens that you are just helping out, I honestly don't know how to thank you for all the support you've rendered a lot of people here. I pray God enriches you and gives you your heart desires. I don't have any celebratory news, but based on what you've done for others, may greater joy be experienced by you. |
OtunbaTee:Thank you very much. |
zionative:Thank you very much. |
I noticed that for the family information (IMM5645) for the online document submission, there is no way I can sign it electronically. Am I expected to download it, sign it, and then upload? It's getting me worried. |
