What kinda institute employ people into critical roles like this without thorough background check?
Shame The reality is many private hospitals owners do not check or verify credentials or certificates .. Some don't even want to sight them. They employ doctors with words of mouth. A lot of them don't go through standard employment processes. I worked full time in at least 6 private hospitals in Nigeria before I joined govt and eventually relocated abroad. Only 1 of them conducted interview and checked my licence. The rest NEVER sighted any of my documents. They are more interested in getting cheap labour |

Romance › Re: Was I Wrong To Abandon My Pregnant Girlfriend? by spiceadole(f): 7:15am On Feb 11, 2025 |
Lakebib: Good morning romancelanders, I would love you guys to help me judge a complicated situation. My girlfriend visited me early this year, we had unprotected sex but before she left I personally bought contraceptives for her to take whenever she gets home. She travelled back to abj where she's serving and we kept communicating.
Fast forward to three weeks later, she complained to me that she missed her period, she opened up that she forgot to take the pills as at when due which led to the pregnancy. I was mad at her but the deed was already done. I told her that it was her mistake and she would have to fix it because I obviously don't a child now, she also agreed to terminate the pregnancy.
An incident occured while we were making arrangements for the abortion that led to a serious issue. We had a minor misunderstanding and didn't speak for a day, she called the second day around past eleven at night sounding a bit tensed, before I could ask her what the issue was, I heard a guy's voice asking her who she was talking to, she ended the call immediately. I called her back twice without response. When she picked up later she denied that she wasn't with a guy bla bla, I simply told her to stay away from me till she's ready to tell me the truth.
She sent me a message after 4 days about missing me and all, I asked her if she was ready to come clean about what happened that night, she still denied everything even contradicting herself in some parts. I insisted that she was lying while maintaining my stand that she must come clean before we settle any issue. She then asked me about the pregnancy because it was beginning to get obvious, I informed her that I'm not sure that the pregnancy is mine because she's obviously seeing other guys so she should do with it whatever she deems fit. She proceeded to insult me calling me stupid and all. I asked her if she thought insults could solve anything, madam told me that I should know that she can easily sleep with any guy she fancies and pin the pregnancy on him so I shouldn't think that leaving her would make her stranded. I wished her goodluck and she went into another barrage of insults, I just blocked her everywhere and deleted all her contacts.
My friend asked me about her last night and I told him what happened and he said I shouldn't have blocked her, he insisted that I should have taken care of the pregnancy first before cutting ties with her. I would love to get other opinions on the matter.
I'm sorry for the long post, please ignore any typos, I typed on the go and yes all insults are welcome. It's amazing how people still have unprotected sex in 2025 with people they are not even married to. I'm sorry for the future of Africa |

realguyremzy: I know a lady who said she wants to come to Nigeria for IVF treatment. Dunno if she is serious about it tho Yes..she is serious. The reasons are... 1. IVF is cheaper in Nigeria 2. Multiple embryo transfers that can result in having twins, triplets, etc can be done in Nigeria 3. Some facilities in Nigeria accept to do sex selection. Unlike overseas where (2) and (3) are illegal. 4. If she is advanced in age,say 40+,some IVF centres will still try using her eggs for the procedure but overseas, many do not. They insist on donor eggs. |

"His chosen one" Annie in the mud.
When this lady got married to TuBaba,Nigerian men were hailing her for sticking by him despite his promiscuity.
The moment Nigerian men start hailing you, just know that you have done something very stupid.
Now,they have turned against her, calling her names..Typical .Serves her right!
How can you meet a man first, then he goes on to have 4 children with 2 women, you still go ahead to marry him such that your first child is his 5th and you think you are special.
Women will consciously make bad choices and blame everyone except themselves, for it.

If you give other incentives like improved conditions of work and pathway to housing, that number will go up to 30 or 40%.
Uneducated senators earn how much per meeting again? As long as a fresh consultant is earning less than 1m, we're just joking. We're not ready No amount of money is worth staying back in Nigeria... The higher doctors earn, the faster they will japa. It's lack of funds that's still keeping a huge number of medical doctors in Nigeria |

For a population of over 240 million people, you have less than 6000 medical consultants. 🤔 Twitter(X) people say Agbo cures all ailments. Almiron: My doctor friend arrived a few days ago. He’s staying with us at the moment for the next couple of weeks until he sorts himself out. I just showed him this thread, and he’s just laughing. Any doctor still remaining in Nigeria has serious loyalty. 6,000 doctors for over 250 million people, yet Nigerians are more concerned about what Trump is doing in America 😂😂😂 "Any doctor still remaining in Nigeria has serious loyalty "... This statement sounds condescending. Your friend had serious loyalty until he left few days ago. Once Nigerians leave the shores of the country, they behave as if they never lived in Nigeria. Many doctors still in Nigeria are there because of the following: Process of writing foreign exams or lack of funds for japa which is capital intensive. Not because they have serious loyalty. |
