FamilyRe: My Baby Boy Is Six Months Old And I Am Pregnant Again by spoilt(f): 11:22pm On Jun 07, 2009
No matter what the doctors say you are not super woman. Nuturing one baby while pregnant with another is not a small thing. Women be kind to yourselves. undecided
RomanceRe: I"ve learnt, lol! by spoilt(f): 11:17pm On Jun 07, 2009
My sister,
Women have this thing in them to give guys second, third, fourth. . . . . . tenth chances. Usually it doesnt take a woman long to know that a man wont make a good provider/ head of household. Its not about how much he has. The potential is all he needs to possess. The guys you described sound like people I know.I know their type. They cannot change. You could hustle your butt off for years and years and they would still be on the same spot where you left them still whining away pathetically. To your question on how to avoid guys like them. Its simple. Usually by the second date you can tell. All you hear is how they hate their jobs, how every one else is moving ahead by bribery and sexual favors. They'll try to obtain a quick buck from whomever will give it. They will never be positive but will constantly tell you how unlucky they have been. The complaining does not end. The one thing they will not do is set their shoulders to the plough and work!!!! When you run into that type of man beat a hasty retreat and run in the opposite direction for your life. I mean that because if you get with them they will suck the very life out of you! And nothing is worse than a woman who becomes bitter because of bad experiences with men.
FamilyRe: Guys Would Like Ur Wife To Be Tattooed. by spoilt(f): 1:11am On Jun 06, 2009
Much ado about tattos. One thing i know is that many people are very judgemental about them. Many secretly wish they could do it. You can see it in their eyes.  Over here its no biggie. Just about everyone is 'branded'. When i am in Nigeria though its different. People stare and stare at my tattoos and nudge their friends to get them to look too! They will come closer or position themselves so as to see if they are real tattoos or the kind from bubble gum wrappers.  grin

I have many tattoos and I can cover up every single one if i choose to do so. I work in corporate America and at work im like a  buttoned up pro. All business and no time for jokes.  grin.  At home I wear what i want. Its the same me so spare the judgement. A tattoed chick is no more promiscous than an untattooed one.

come to think of it, if i'm in love wid d girl, why not?dey say love is blind, right?
i'm not one to judge based on looksmaybe just a little bit honest! but if it's to the extent dat it will have most people looking at you with judmental eyes, nooooooou, i can't take that kind ofnegativeattension
You dont have to have tattoos for nigerians people to look at you with judgemental eyes. The opinion of random strangers should not keep you awake at night.

FamilyRe: What Would You Do If You Found Out Your Marriage May Not Be Legal? by spoilt(f): 1:56am On Jun 02, 2009
I wont waste any more energy or resources on him. He's not even worth it. Let him go on a marrying spree. The cheap thrills and the financial gains he gets blinds him as to the danger of what he's doing. Eventually he'll meet a woman who will plant a knife in his heart. and i mean up to the hilt.

CultureRe: Nigerians Who Can't Pronounce Their names by spoilt(f): 11:30pm On May 27, 2009
shesi:
personally i don't see anything wrong with saying your name in a way that is easier for the people where you are to say it too. why not. I say my surname differently than when i'm home. us africans are not the only ones who have to do this in the west. I wouldn't change the spelling though. .

what annoys me is those who use the 'westernized' version back at home. what kinda nonsense is that. like one time in ghana, where i'm from, i was standing behind this girl in a bank queue, and she kept on saying her name in a westernized version. the teller couldn't spell the name due to this, and this stupid girl kept on saying her name (which happens to be a fairly common name ) and giving the teller dumb looks like 'why can't you spell this', i was sooo pissed. and this girl was no first generation american- or euro- anything. trust me, she was born and bred in ghana. i could tell by her cracked heels. lol.

with the kids born abroad, don't be too hard on the parents. sometimes these kids just have no interest at all if you try teaching them their mother tongue. they look at you with that face, the "omg, like, wat is he talking about!" face, lol, those of you with kids here know what im talking about.

also, in the world of children, anything that is even slightly different is recipe for teasing and bullying. so even when the kids know how to say their name correctly, they will deliberately not say it ever.
Oh no! Ghanaian bred chicks have cracked heels? shocked Do they crack bricks with their heels all day or something? grin
CultureRe: Nigerians Who Can't Pronounce Their names by spoilt(f): 12:01am On May 27, 2009
So many Nigerians over here try to upgrade their names. Adeneye become Adeney, funmi becomes fumi, Mayowa becomes mayor (even for naija that one common! grin) . Wetin! conveniently leaving some vowels and consonants out of your name will not make them like you more. After all I bend over backwards to say Montgomery, McManaman, Gwyneth and Rasputia ! grin
