Its not about having anything to hide. Theres nothing wrong with having a picture up.Different strokes for different folks. Lets face it, Most of the people you run into online are just virtual friends. You dont know them them from Adam and only go by what they tell you.  Some people along with their pictures on FB and other sites have their phone numbers, email address, home address, place of work etc. It knocks the socks off me.   . I personally have had to call a few of my naija friends to edit their profiles and take some things out. They kind of got the point. Even though FB is supposed to only give your friends access to your info many people are guilty of adding complete strangers to their friends list!!  

A person who has nothing to lose could care less and I understand. However, If you work at a sensitive job you dont want to give out such details to complete or partial strangers.

The deceased, who hailed from Ebonyi State and a resident of Ekugatai village in Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State, was said to have commited suicide in his room after he had accused his 28-year-old wife, Esther, of having extra-marital affairs in the neighbourhood.

The village head of Agbokim Obiri in Ekugatai clan, Ntufam Daniel Ekuri, while confirming the incident to our correspondent on Tuesday, described it as shocking.

It was gathered that Esther, who was a food hawker, usually returned home late in the night which led to the suspicion by her husband.

Ekuri disclosed that when the late Udeh summoned his wife before the chiefs' council, investigations were conducted and she was given a clean bill of health.

Security reasons. You can send your pics privately to people. Not paste it up for the whole universe to see. Trust me dude there are a thousand and one things people can do with it.

Its so tragic that its so funny. When i was in Nigeria recently, I was so terrified of taking my credit cards and bank cards out of the house, using any ATM or buying anything online on any website from Nigeria. My hand no dey!  

I work in a bank over here and all fraudulent charges to your account is refunded to you.  I dont know how it works in Nigeria but surely your bank has a policy of refunding you for unauthorized transactions to your account.
I guess like everything else in Nigeria it will be like trying to nail jello to the wall trying to get your money back.

No employer will ask you to pay a farthing. I cant believe people fall for that. Or they ask you to pay to register with their agency. agencies are supposed to be free too. They get their cut when you are hired!

I guess another thing people should realize is that not everyone coming from obodo oyibo has the qualifications they claim to have. Once you return to the country you are hotcake. i wonder if Nigerians even properly  verifiy claims of work experience and graduate level education. I know people from here who give their prospective employers their friends cell phone numbers to call when they ask for references. So some of the people who breeze in and get fancy jobs were just gatemen over here.

If you actually hire someone from here who[b] had real experience and education [/b] and actually watched and learned how a functional corporate office operates that person surely should be an asset. Its not anything personal. Its just called seeing the bigger picture.
