Business › Re: How Were You Able To Start & Grow Your Business To Profitability? by springtech(m): 1:36pm On Dec 22, 2020 |
Oktane: My post may be a bit long but I hope you learn something from it ....no matter how small.
I think your expectations are a bit too steep for someone who wants to embark on a totally fresh path. You talking 10% monthly reward here. While this isn't impossible it most definitely will be a rare feat.
If on the other hand you are investing in the expansion of an already existing business that is making some form of profit then 10% or even more is very practicable.
My suggestion is that you should use like 500k of that money and create a trading business with particular emphasis on something that sells everyday. Trust me several products abound. Most of these products can give you 10% profit per sale and you can turnaround your capital several tines per week.
Right here on Nairaland there are several accounts of businesses that are doing very well. Most of these businesses are not the type that the typical Nigerian graduate will be proud of....and yet they are money spinners.
Some years ago, I employed an ex-banker in my company and only did this for sentimental reasons. He was a poor fit from day one. So I told him that I will allow him six months after which I will terminate. I then advised that he seek out what he intends to do when he leaves me. The man came up with very utopian and impracticable ideas. I just kept telling him to keep it simple. I nudged him in the direction of eggs distribution and he kept resisting his reason being that it is degrading. I even introduced him to Nairaland where a thread by one Blacky provided a detailed guide on eggs distribution.
To cut the long story short, he was swept off high horse last year and he embarked on eggs sales in December 2019. It's amazing that in just one year he is doing very well with a weekly turnover of 1.5 Million with his net profit being about 5% of that amount. What more could be ask for?
I am not advising you to go into eggs sir. I am however suggesting that you look at different FMCG options and choose one that people must buy everyday. Modify how it is being done by the majority and then begin to smile daily to the bank.
There is one I keep looking at everyday and I am just wondering how I can approach it. It's a simple model, fast moving product, 10% daily profit, minimal risk potential and very importantly it has a very affordable start out requirement. To crown it all I am reading a particular thread about it here on Nairaland and the OP is the best. Do you mind sharing a link to that thread you mentioned. God bless you. |

Something is amiss here...
Am sure am naive but na so depression be?
I pray she survives; they they must take her to see a psychiatric doctor. That is exactly how depression works. Just as we are different so is our capacity to handie, react or manage depression. Depression has triggers which differ from person to person. Do you know that we all have different things that motivate us. What some people yearn for on the job isn't money or perks of the office. Yes for some what they need for motivation is material things while for some others they are fine with something as simple as recognition. It gives them a sense of fulfillment. |

momentum85: please guys i need some advice, I want my younger brother who is 23 to go work in UAE, a child hood friend who has been there for about 5years advised he comes with an employment visa and preferably a security job which he says pays more. After making some calls he told me there is a vacant position for a security job and the visa is 10,500 dirhams. and the salary is about 2300 dirhams. He went there and started as a helper in a construction company and later joined security earlier this year, I believe he's experienced but at the same time I don't want to be scammed Be very careful, you need to do checks before sending dt guy a dime. I sense the guy is trying to use format on you. He prolly isn't finding life easy there himself. Well this is just my personal thought. You need to do independent checks. |

Philipponzaghi: Who Dey give all these guys this money self.
Na so so so seed funding we Dey hear everytime.
I sabi FinTech too, just dash me investment. It's not about knowing fintech, it's about proving it. No one doubts or argues with results. The likes of Kuda, paystack and the rest of them attracting foreign direct investments or seed funds have simply been able to proof their worth in the fintech space. Interswitch is said to be worth $1Billion as at today. So that's the amount any investor would pay to buy her over. You can attest to the fact that this company has proved her mettle and has shown her strength over the years. Trust me, there are lots of other fintech products that will still attract such large investments, but are currently "showing working". All the best bro. |

Just be sure the sample population is above 30, so we can use the chi-square and not the student-t test. On the flip side we can as well use regression analysis or entropy. What's important it to postulate the null hypothesis (H0) and the alternate hypothesis (H1), and put them to test. At the end we can either accept or reject the null hypothesis, which can either support your assertion or otherwise. I am just a call away. |

In this life just hustle because no one really sends you when you're nobody . I don’t agree to the fact that he dumped Korede Bello. Let me ask when was the last time Korede Bello release another hot song? This is business. You invest to harvest. Once your investment is not yielding you begin to look at alternatives. Nature detests voidness and emptiness. Even Jesus said I have chosen you that ye might have fruit. And that your fruit may abide. So the key words here are : productivity, multiplication, results.
