There is no agenda bro... I don't think you and Jodera understand the context of what we are saying here.
Up until that Liverpool game, most of us believed we can win the league. We were in a good position to win it. Liverpool away was always going to be difficult but we lost a 2-goal lead but we were not that disappointed. Then we did the same against WestHam and Southampton ran us rag at our fortress. We went to Ethiad and started playing like a bunch of primary school kids.
.
.
Did the player punched above their weight? Yes
Did injury affected us? Yes
Were experience and winning mentality lacking within out squad? Yes.
Did we bottle the league? Yes
Should we throw the players and coaches under he bus? No (due to the facts above)
.
.
But that some fans went thus, 'Top 4 was our target anyway so we overachieve this season' is exactly what some of us were against. If we had tried more and win it, nothing stops us from competing again next year.
Thanks bro. I wish others will come forward like you.

I wouldn't say we overachieved because what we got was top 4 and not the title. I wouldn't also agree that we bottled the league because we were not expected to win it. You only bottle what you are expected to achieve. Many pundits didn't even expect us to finish top 4.

I am disappointed that we lost the title as it stands. But I would not say we bottled the league.

I am surprised at what's being said here...
Nobody said the team didn't try... We are not criticizing Arteta needlessly.
Edu and Arteta have been hammering it that we are ahead of schedule according to the development plan. No wahala.

Then this season, the plan was top 4 but we had the chance to run away with the league but we blew it.
Then some of you here decided to console yourselves with the 'the top 4 was the target' talk which is exactly what I'm against. I'm sorry but that is a mediocre thinking. A weak mentality infact.

That excuse might even carry small weight had it been we played the big teams back to back and dropped valuable points. We lost a 2-goal lead twice and handed the league to City.

That we are competing for top 4 no mean say make we see opportunity to carry the cup and mess up.
On the bolded, may be you have not been following up. The two people know themselves and the agenda they stand for. Nor be today. We know them and their stand, always looking for an opportunity to talk about mediocrity and poor mentality.

When someone does not see the progress made and only looks at the failure at the end point then that person has a poor objective analysis/mentality. When your child tries to walk for the first time and falls close to the finish line, you don't cane the child. You encourage him.

It's OK to feel disappointed but it's not OK to call the players or the club bottlers just because they didn't have the capacity to cross the finish line first. As long as a title chase was not expected it will be wrong to say they had a poor mentality. You may have to go back a few posts to see Afrodo.c's comments as an external unbiased opinion.

How is it different from the racial abuse Saka received after missing the final penalty for England at the Euros? All these despite a stellar performance throughout the competition leading to the finals?

So if Arsenal finds themselves in the CL finals against an experienced team next season and then loses it, they will call them bottlers again abi? If you win it fine and good, if you don't, you pat yourself on the back and move on, hoping to improve next time.

Last season we missed out on top four, this season we achieved it comfortably. For me that's progress. Next stage is to win the league. And I believe the boys have gathered enough experiences to do it.

I Spy, will not criticise the players for what they did this season because they did well finishing with 81points and still counting, I will rather encourage them to do better next season.

Last season the goal was to get back to Europe, the Europa league particularly. However, we had a good chance to make it into the UCL but we blew it and many of us were disappointed.

The goal this season is to make the top 4 and return to the UCL. The owners have backed Arteta with good investment to help achieve this goal. The battle for top 4 is going to be tough as always, consequently, every victory is important.

And both times we dropped out of the top spot. Maybe coincidence, maybe pressure.. I don't know but I believe the boys will be stronger next season
I would be very disappointed if it repeats itself next season or subsequent seasons but not this season as we aren't even at our peak yet.
Those attacking Arteta would have sung a different song if those loses were earlier in the season and our winning run was towards this end of the season where we still managed to finish second with over 80points.

They would have ordered a statue for him.

But because it happened the other way, they feel it is bottling. How do you bottle something that you never had before?

Arsenal were never favourites for top four by almost all bookmakers. So how did we bottle something that we were not given the chance?

The people trolling Arteta are the people who have never liked him. The 90-95 points that Pep has made the minimum benchmark for winning the league is unattainable for even some of the greatest United and Arsenal sides of the past. City's squad has far more quality, depth, and experience than Arsenal's. Pep benches/rests KDB, Haaland, Foden, Grealish, Mahrez, Laporte, Ruben Dias at will and there is no drop in quality, and sometimes he even benches 2,3,4 of them at the same time. Can Arteta try the same?

His first season Arsenal had 56 points. His first full season it increased to 61 points. The next season 69 points. Now it will be greater than 80 points.

90 points no be beans. Arteta tried but he was facing a juggernaut.

We would beat them this second leg?? grin grin

My hope for the league dashed when we drew Southampton and West Ham. Anyone who believe we could beat Man city at Etihad must have that faith that Jesus Christ taught that would move mountain.

I think one of the reasons I'm not very emotional and deeply disappointed is that I know the strength and limitations of this team.
I knew presently, we don't have that "extra" to carry us over the finishing line but we're almost there. Previous years, it would have been very enough but Guardiola have certainly lifted the bar very very high that you'll need that extra to go a long stretch

Next season's recruitment will tell us whether we would really get that extra to push us to the next phase or not.

While the first 11 is good, but the bench is not that good. Saying the team isn't good entirely is you just seeing them through the lens of last week's match and not their overall match this season.
My brother, though I hoped for it and prayed for it, I knew it was going to be near impossible unless some events overtakes it like a change in formation or a red card or something.

There have been gradual but steady improvements in our first eleven since Arteta joined. This season we took on the big six and came out tops most occasions, unlike before. I saw a team that was no longer afraid to face big teams. I hope this improves further by next season. I hope by next season we can go head to head with Man City in terms of quality of play and also quality of players.

Next season many pundits will begin to consider us as genuine challengers and then we would have no place to hide than to face the title squarely.

It will all begin with an early and successful transfer business in the summer. I am looking forward to addition of the likes of Rice and Caicedo in midfield, Diaby and Vlahovic in attack, and Guehi in defense. If this happens and early, I don't see why we won't give City another run, and this time we will be successful.

Oga, don't defend what you can't defend because it will open yanch. Let me give you the false prophecies attributed to Jesus

Mark 16:16-20
16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

According to the above, anyone who “believes” can do the following:
1.) Drive out demons
2.) Speak in tongues
3.) Pick up snakes with their hands
4.) Drink poison and will not get hurt
5.) Heal people

Ok. we’ve heard people claim so many things, but i have not seen #3 and #4 nor have anyone who “believe” claimed that.the last time a pastor entered a lion’s cage,he was tore apart.
If you have seen 1, 2, and 5 then that's substantial evidence that 3 and 4 are also possible.

But then this is not the point. You don't read the Bible like your usual Tom Clancy's novel. The point is if you believe in Jesus, and you pray in His name, things will happen. The things mentioned are not exclusive, miracles happen every day in the name of JESUS.

Fkforyou:
Arteta should look himself hard in the mirror and admit that he failed.

As far as I am concerned, this season was a setback. We didn’t hit the target. In fact, we didn’t achieve anything.

No, champions league qualification isn’t an achievement worth celebrating, it’s supposed to be the norm for an elite club. Will a club like Bayern or Madrid celebrate playing in the champions league? Or is it that we are not an elite club or what? Are we just pretending to be an elite club?

The players have to admit to themselves that they lack the spine and character to be champions and they need to work and demand more from themselves.

Saka has been horrible for over a month now.
Gabriel J. Haven’t made any impact on the team.
Odegaard has been on and off, very inconsistent from someone we look up to as our leader.
Xhaka has reverted to being Xhaka. Sluggish, indecisive and one legged.

In all of these, the manager has more of the blame. He needs to get his shit together and know that the fan’s demand more from him and he should demand more from his players. Bench anyone that isn’t adding quality to our game no matter who that person is.

Next season, we deserve at least two trophies from this team. Anybody that can’t give us that should Fvck off and go find another team.

We can’t let Arteta give us another Wenger era of Awwn, we almost achieved this or that.
My dear at the end of the season Arteta will look himself at the mirror and say I tried. The owners will look at the mirror image and hand him a new contract.

CL qualification is not an achievement but it is a target which he met. It's a target because we haven't played it for close to a decade now. That's the point.

Don't let emotions get the better of you, if we had not challenged for the title and may be moved from 6th to finish 4th we would have been happier. But simply because they punched above their weight we suddenly feel that they failed for not winning the league.

Let me post this again, Arsenal this season were just unlucky to have Manchester City. People will point to Leicester but when they won the league it was with less than 80points. Napoli won the SerieA with 82points and still have games to play. Teams like PSG with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar have less than 80points and are topping the French league with 5points, same as Bayern in Germany, Barcelona won the league in Spain with less points than Arsenal. This team tried, they were just unfortunate to have a better team than them at the top.

Am I happy that we lost the league? No. But I am not goiyto rubbish the efforts of people if they actually gave their best shot at it. Finishing second to Man City is by no means a disgrace.

Did they force other peoples in the world to worship them? No.

But they're demons because your colonial masters say so in the Bible.

Yet, according to the Bible, Jehovah killed millions and say he'll put trillions of people in eternal fire.

The same thing applies to Allah. Those are the real demons.

The Europeans and Arabs are generally more intelligent than Africans. So, they packaged these demonic entities to dumb Africans as God and deceive them to demonize their own cultures and ancestors.

Intelligent people promote and hype their ancestors and cultures. It's such people that will be the achievers of the world. They'll rule the world.

FYI, amadioha is a literal translation to thunder //Amadi- oha.//

Ala is a literal translation for soil. Anyanwu- sun or sunlight. These are mere language registers. So if I call someone Amadioha, I have given him a title. Like Rochas is called Onwa meaning moon.

First in my post I said people (not I) refer to them as demons. I used demons so you can identify who I referred to. Now whether they are demons (title for enemy) is another topic.

Secondly, Yahweh (Hebrew) means Jehovah (greek) or lord (English) or Onye nwem (Igbo) and are all titles which people can use to refer to a multiple number of persons. Same as thunder (English) means amadioha (Igbo) and can be used to refer to multiple number of persons.

You have mentioned Pythagoras and the rest, don't mix up those people with natural phenomena like as I have said.
