It is not mandatory to score 25% in FcT abuja.. .. English is used in context. And according to the constitution is used conjunctively meaning to bring 2 things together. 36 states of the federation and Fct Abuja mean the two brought together.. Examples abound : Bread and butter, rice and beans, taye and kehinde, peter and paul used to show 2 persons are together 1 in the cases of twins. So it shows the provision of the constitution applies to them together.. Let me kind of explain it you mathematically...
The constitution says about Fct that all provisions will apply as if it is a state.. What this means in constitution is Nigeria states are from Abia to zamfara (36 states of the Federation) and Fct abuja.. Apples and oranges = apples together woth oranges, rice and beans =rice together with beans.. Taye and kehinde together as twins. 36 states and fct is 36 togetwith fct.
Nigeria states = 36 states of the Federation and fct
Let Nigeria states be x
X = 36 states of federation and the fct

So the provision of the law in the constitution applies to X.
25% in 2/3 of X = spread.. Where X= 36 states and fct Note the aim of the constitution here is to achieve a spread and not that a candidate votes only from a particular region acquire their votes... Fct is North central.. So your compulsory fct requirement immediately nullifies the reason the constitution wanted a spread. That means if i get my spread in other states of the Federation say i win and get 25% 34 states of the Federation a candidate who does not make 25% in say 30 states and wins abuja like kwankwaso won kano abuja maybe he is from abuka and popular, he immediately renders such a spread null amd void, that is against the spirit of the constitution..

The rest of the Federation decides who makes the law in abuja and it shows you also the constitution and democracy says the majority will decide.. So Abuja does not have the power that is votes overide 36 others.. So infact it is more the others states decide too the governor just like the decide the national assembly.. I rest my case

1. 'And' does not mean inclusive, it means both objects are distinct and carry equal statuses. Rice and Beans can also mean Beans and Rice. Now take this and apply to the constitution. Flip it...

2. FCT is not in the North Central as you claim. It exist alone as a separate entity.

3. FCT carries a special status because it is the constituency of the President and Head of State. The president is the administrative head of the FCT. The National Assembly is the legislative arm of the FCT. That's special status.

4. Section 299 of the constitution says FCT should be treated like it was a state. Means that it is not a state but should have access to all the benefits of other states. If I say, treat the boy like he was your child. It does not mean the boy is your child.

That 25% clause was not in the previous constitution. It was added in 1999 amendment. It is for a reason.

I think the headline is misleading and wants to portray the action as fighting against Muslims. Even Muslims will not permit some kind of dressing in their centres.

However, I think people should be allowed to express themselves but in ways that will not mean taking advantage. For example, hijab can be used by unscrupulous people to smuggle 'expo' into the hall. So while they can wear hijab, they should not wear anything that will not allow for inspection.

If the president-elect is not physically present and cannot be found, his vice would be sworn in and would automatically become the president.

If indeed the whole Nigeria votes the way SE did apart from their hateful utterance and action Obi will only have SE votes because North Central is still north and SS are aligning nationally, they have said it many times that they are not with SE...

So where exactly did Tinubu rig the election that labour party was supposed to win?

The biggest problem was INEC. Yakubu Mahmood had one duty to perform on 25th Feb. That was to turn on the server so that polling units results would be uploaded real time as he actually promised several times.

He didn't just fail, he failed woefully, making this election even worse than previous given the amount of expectations and resources spent.

Now to your question.

1. There was massive over-voting in the northern states. BVAS has proven this already.

2. There was massive adulteration and manipulation of results to favour APC especially. This happened accross the country- as if APC had planned this all along. Seems they knew the server won't upload.

3. INEC were complicit to APC rigging seeing how they totally disregarded the electoral act and election guidelines which they themselves prepared and presented to the public.

4. INEC failed to listen to and resolve the issues raised by concerned parties before and during the final collation of results, after promising to do so on live TV. They had no need to hurry as the law gave them up to 14days to resolve any issues.

5. There were clear records of voters suppression, violent disfranchisement etc. As clearly observed by independent foreign observers. They reported that the elections was a shambolic exercise in futility that lacks credibility, transparency and fairness.
