First of all, Tinubu has insulted every Nigerian, home and abroad in so many ways, the most painful ones was the Emilokan he said, more or less like telling or calling Nigerians fools, as if to say there's nothing anyone can do about it....
And yet you see the same people he has insulted still clapping and following him like flies chasing after pack of faeces...
We all know this man is not clearly fit, and I wonder why even the least sensible Nigerian will even think of the idea of him being our president, let alone campaign for him...
Are most Nigerians really these foolish, how can a man be insulting you and u keep on singing his praise...
A wise man once said... It's only in Africa (Nigeria) criminals will be regrouping to steal, and the people whose future are being destroyed will be the one drumming support for them...
I no go lie, if Tinubu wins this election e go pain me... And I go vex for many people Forget the crowd. These are all state mercenaries, and praise singers. Every one of them that came actually did so to cash out. My little birds were there. They told me all na gimmick. Even the hall he used was panel beated into shape within two days. nihilistjnr: I strongly disagree with this position. Religion is still a significant part of people's lives in the developed world. Scientific method can, and continues to co-exist alongside Religious practice.
Africa's problem is not unique. The geographical constraints of the continent, particularly the thick rain-forest and disease vectors of sub-saharan africa made it difficult for it's inhabitants to develop at the same pace as Europe and Central Asia By the time those guys turned up on our shores, they had guns, cannons, and centuries or maritime and military pedigree.
The same issue we face in sub-saharan Africa is visible in continents with similary geography - South America is a mess, as is South East Asia. The Middle East itself is also a mess save for the literal KINGDOMS of UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Oman, etc
The issue i'm talking about is colonialism, and more importantly the main consequences of colonialism - resource contention and Nation forming.
In Nigeria, we are where we are because Lugard arbitrarily joined a relatively educated southern Nigeria consisting of multiple tribes, to a largely uneducated North ruled by TWO empires - The Sokoto caliphate and the Borno Empire both ruled by the Fulani-Hausa tribes. Worse still, the British then allowed a dubious census to give the Nothern region is numerical superiority in parliament, and duly fcked off, setting the foundations of the country's utter dominance by the North ever since.
When you add automatic weapons to the existing volatility of resource contention, you have civil wars, you have seccesionist agitation, you have insecurity, weak administrative capacity, undermined rule of law, etc. Essentially you have us.
There's virtually no difference between Nigeria and Mali, or Nigeria and Bangladesh, or Nigeria and Mexico.
The European colonisers did more to set us back in their actions, than Religion ever did in my opinion sha. Makes sense. |

germaphobe: i was just reading through y'all debate and asking myself wetin be dis. spy360 was, is and will be right anywhere una carry dis newcastle matter go. mentions of astonvilla, everton and others doesn't hold water cus it's an entirely different scenery. newcastle went out for two young talents, they even battle arsenal and won in the case of bruno G. arsenal clearly wasn't into buying him for that high price cus they thought he wasn't up to that amount, yet newcastle did and you claim it's no big spending?, someone that your darling club left cus of this same price tag. now about isak trust me edu would never spend such on him, yea g. jesus was our main target but at some point we also went for him before withdrawing and you think us withdrawing wasn't because of his high price which the club probably doesn't see as good and him not so fitting in arteta's plan wasn't part of it. see the clear truth is that newcastle is yet to go on big spending mood, but they did spent heavily on the two players. Thanks for this. What Jodera doesn't get is that this is not about comparing performance but spending power. He can bring up Wolves and West Ham it's not about them. It's about Newcastle. They paid 70mil for one player. This will be considered heavy spending for any team that's not in the traditional big 6. This is irrespective of their performance. Then in terms of their performance, it contributed. It's not the reason but it contributed. Just as Arteta did with Arsenal. We upgraded our team. It does not take away the effort of the manager but he can not deny that it contributed. |

Jodera: I understand all these things you guys are saying but you guys are saying it as if it's something new for a midtable teams but it's not(esp in EPL). Everton and Aston Villa don do this things also but nobody claimed they spent "heavily". Is it because they aren't overachieving?. I can even use Wolves to show how they spent almost 100m on two players only, yet nobody is saying they spent heavily. You can say they spend, fine but using heavily like say they're the first midtable team to do that, that I don't agree
When they start to spend "heavily" unlike their peers, shalaye no go much cos e go dey clear No body has said Wolves did not spend heavily if that's your comparison. What we are saying is that Newcastle has improved the quality of their team. That is not taking away the efforts of their manager- something I pointed out from the onset. The fact is they improved their squad just as we did too. Even in these times, 70m is heavy spending for a top club not to talk of a middle level club. |

mostob: It is not just one player bro... But nobody would expect a club like Newcastle to spend more than 100M on just two players. God bless you. Exactly my point. How Jodera and Sod09 will admit they have Arab money yet cannot factor it into the argument is shocking. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 10:08pm On Nov 14, 2022 |
Jodera: I don't agree they spent heavily at all. In fact, they've not even start spending. With respect to their Arab money owner and EPL standard, wetin dey spend no reach for person to include "heavily" at all
The difference maker there is their coach (Howe) cos in terms of spending, there are some clubs that have spent more than them yet no show You didn't get me. What I mean is that at their level they have spent big. While I will admit that their coach is the main reason (which I have already mentioned) but for them to pay roughly €70m for one player for a midtable team is big. Also they didn't sell last season unlike most teams at their level. So in essence they have strengthened their first eleven with like 4-5 quality players over the past two seasons. That's big. Pope, Botman, Trippier, Willock, Joelington, Target, Guimares, and Isak . Eight players to strengthen their first team alone. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 11:07am On Nov 14, 2022 |
sod09: They are not mid table They were never mid table Btw 120m isn't big spending for so called mid table Forest spend over 100m this season that's over spending for a relegation club
Top 6 clubs spend over 250m each
You said over 3 years what is the price tag Wilson how much Woods how much Willock how much Pope how much These 4 no pass 100m If Newcastle are not midtable then what are they, top 6? Do you even know what's meant by midtable? When you take a look at net spend you know what I am talking about. They buy and not sell. Usually, for a club in their class in terms of performance in the last 5years that spending big. That's also why they are attractive. Players like Trippier, Guimares, Willock, Joelington etc moved there because they saw some prospects. The second other point is that they have a good coach in Eddie Howe. As for Nottingham Forest, they are just coming off lower leagues and will need to spend some more and still keep their best players to have a shot to higher positions. |

Jodera: Paul Merson: “I can't name a single player of the season for Arsenal so far - that's how good they've been
I agree wholeheartedly with Paul Merson here. I can't name a single best player so far. This is exactly how I love my team to be The winner here is Arteta. I am glad we took the risk with him. He has learned his ropes and we're lucky to have him. I remember years ago when he wanted to join and some of us felt he was too inexperienced for a big club like Arsenal; my response was that we have to get him as I see him as the next big thing after Pep. Having trained at Barcelona, Everton under Moyes, under Wenger and as an assistant to Pep. Again, for Pep to have such confidence in him to make him his assistant you know he's got something. Pep says he's a monster and I believe him. |

mostob: Bro..you're right. What is surprising is that they don't have the players... I mean they are 3rd with players like Willock and Almiron.
And as for the Arab money, that's scary. Arsenal should look for her own sugar daddy too before clubs leave us for trenches Heard Liverpool is on sale. They got a good coach and bought some quality players with heavy spending and salaries. However I don't believe that model will last beyond a couple of years. They are quite formidable. Their weakness this season may be their bench. If for any reason the lose two or three key players, they are done. |
