I resumed work dis week after my maternity leave.
Thanx for all ur support and prayers;
The baby doing very well now
when she was just six weeks old, she came down with
malaria. my dears it was not easy, i still thank God till date for the timely
intervention. On dat faithful day i went out to buy some things since we had to travel (my mother, the baby and i)
when i got she had just gotten up from sleep and my mother was about to feed her with formula. She finished it and just about 3 minutes later she vomited evrything. I took her from my mother and laid her on my tummy and she continued sleeping. About an hour later i started feeling her body slightly warm. when i complained to my mother she said i should check her temperature anally which i did and behold she was at 39.4 degrees and later 40 degrees. we rushed to the hospital and she was admitted for 4 days with lots of drip sets giving to her. I cried my eyes out.
Thank God she is fine now and very active but imagine how i feel leaving her back home for 9 hours. I just pray God who gave her to me would take care of her as she grows.

I will be very happy and available to answer all pregnancy related and baby care questions


More goodnews would be coming this year, remember i said this year is our year just keep believing in God

I Put to birth 1 month ago with a complete tear
from the vigina to the anus and the cervix also
the wound is healing well as i feel less pain these days
but the problem i have now is that i feel pain around my clitoris eventhough not all the time
at times when i finish peeing, or get up from sitting for a long while it hurts. when i touch it it would hurt.
i told my doc and he gave me some drugs for urinary tract disease but still no change
recently i realised that i feel dat same pain when being touched or kissed by my husband
can u please tell me what to do?

Hi all
just popped in to give my late monday update
getting very tired each day with this pregnancy
but also very happy am moving closer to my due date.
am writing now with heavy eyes due to lack of sound sleep
last nite. The baby woke me up at nite and would not let me sleep or even
lie down with her kicks and summersaulting. I thought she was angry or something
so i ended up sitting and standing for some time.
please all i need now is ur prayers for a safe delivery.
with all the scary stories one hears about delivery one can't
help but be scared, but i know my God is on my side.

please never say u didnot/don't ovulate coz one never knows
our systems are funny and even the doctors can't understand them at times
i got pregnant the month i thought i did not ovulate
thanx to my husband who insisted
even when u think u u didnot ovulate, keep on baby dancing

my update

TTC No.1 ( 1 micarriage)
CD pregnant 31 weeks
DPO ---
Ages Me 27 DH 34
I tried for 2 months

last week update:
was sick last week and got so scared somethong was going to happen to the baby
had all he symptoms of malaria but tested negative. (even my doctor was confused) so
he decided to admit me and give me malaria treatment
also had stomach disorders and tested positive to amoeba
now the issue is the drug he gave me did not really help coz i still feel funny in my stomach.
does anyone know if this can affect the baby? (amoeba)
but after all thank God coz the baby is doing fine. just resumed work dis morning
after 1 week of bed rest.
Talking about sleeping at nite; its a nitemare ooooo
i can hardly find a comfortable position and when i do dats when the baby starts dancing and kicking in my womb
this prevents me from sleeping.
if i may ask, what make a baby kick so had? is it dat she is happy or uncomfortable coz at time i get scared ooooooooo
make una no laugh.
i can't wait for the D day to come

at times its like am dreaming.

the boggest problem i have now is finding a better position to sleep
meeeeeeeeeeen i get sad when nite falls
coz to sleep on ur left side all thru the nite is not easy
i hear one can also sleep on the right side but each time i do, this baby kicks me so hard
i can hardly sleep till i change dat position
is it really dangerous sleeping on ur back? i am 29 weeks.

I can eat spinach just like any veggie but Broccoli hummmmmmmmmm unless there is no other food i am not just a veggie person i don't eat any steamed veggie carrot string beans etc

i am 24 weeks pregnant and i have been taking too much cold stuffs (ice water, ice cream, iced yughort etc)
i will like to know if this has any negative effects on my baby.

infact dont be carried away by usual ovulation sign , just do the baby dancing, cause l complained of lack of ovulation the month l look in, however l noticed unusual wetness, but definately not cervical mucus as usual.

I sais this before and i'll say it again. Don't be fooled by the so-called ovulation signs u have each month.
I conceived the month i had no signs unlike the other months. So just keep on trying with or withour those signs.

even though it was not easy; with my present condition
After all the stress during the wedding preparations
i must say Thank God coz
all is well with me and the baby in me too

and guess what morning sickness is over and
i can now eat well
she has started kicking too.

i got pregnant the month i had no ovulation signs
no cervical mucus, no abdominal pains like i used to
have before, so plz stop saying u don't ovulate except u have a medical problem
coz ovulation simptoms can be triky at times
just keep on trying and maybe u are actually ovulating my dear

i am now 12 weeks pregnant and still on progesterone
my doctor placed me on Utrogestan at 5weeks coz i was
spotting and since i had a previous miscarraige.
My question is, for how long should i continue taking this drug
and would there be any danger of miscarriage if i stop it?

Hi sistas and Happy new year.
I know i have not been around for some time.
On the 9th of dec (dats at abt 5 weeks) i started spotting blood in the office
i was so scared i abandoned everything i had to do in the office and ran to the hospital after calling my doctor.
When i arrive he checked me and immediately did an echography to confirm there was no prob
since it waqs still too early, he could not see the embryo clearly but the sac was well placed and showed no signs of coming out. he put me on progesterone. That calm me down as i went back to the office. I took 2 days off from work to rest.
i could not even rest coz i got so sick, i had chronique stomach disorder and went back to see the doc 2 days later and he gave me some drugs which did not help abit. and on monday the 14th of dec, i was admitted coz the doc said he needed to put me on surveillance. anoda ecography was done and we could see and the embryo and the heart beat. I was discharged but put on bed rest for 8 days and i added my annual leave so i could rest well.
My dear sistas it's not been easy, i can't eat well, if i cook i won't eat, no perfume, no meat, i just hope the baby is getting enuf food.

By the way thanks to u girls for keeping me in mind and don't forget we need each oda's prayers and support.

am just coming from the hospital and the doctor confirmed am 5 weeks pregnant after a blood test. I'll be going for a scan in about 2 weeks to get a heartbeat. Am happy and but kind of scared coz of the previous miscarraige i had
i hope all will be well with the grace of God.

Thank God u are back. I have some questions i have been wanting to ask u
i am 27 years, slim and 1.71cm tall. This is my med history;
I had a miscairrage in june 2008 and the doctor could not tell why it happened.
I have just started trying to concieve again but for the past 2 months nothing.
in september i had a heavy and smelly vagina discharge and i went to see the doc
who asked me to do a culture test of the discharge. I did it and was diagnosed
with candida albicans. before the results could come out the doc gave me Diflucan
and some vagina ovules which i took and after the results he gave me fungizone capsules and it disappeared
all these drugs i took them alone coz when i asked him if my husband should take it too he said no.
I don't live in the same town with my husband so we get to see each other after every two weeks. But i have just noticed (am not really sure) that when i make love with my hubby some few days after the haevy dischage and itches start again. I don't know if he is also infected or not. Am going to see my doc this week for check up.
Can candida albicans cause infertility?

i think ur girlfriend has candida albicans. let her go for a culture test to determine the disease and possible cure
and i think u also have to take some treatment if u have been having unprotected sex with her.

I have just realised that my worst time is that between my supposed ovulation and my next period
that is when u start thinking of "am i already pregnant"

With such menstrual cycle when do you think i can start testing?

I was thinking that i could start testing as early as the 11th day and continue till the 18th day to be on the safe side. I really have to be sure coz my hubby is not around and comes only during the weekends (but i could make him come even within the week if i think am ovulating)
What do you think?

I have been foolowing this thread for some time and i must confess it has helped me somehow.
let me share with u girls my experience:

I got pregnant last year in april, it was not a planned act but it just happened, i was kind of scared since i was not yet married (u know how parents take such issues) but i was certain i was going to have that baby. during the first four weeks i had serious cramps around my left lower abdomen, this made me to go and see the doctor coz i was scared of having an ectopic pregnancy. The doc confirmes that everything was ok after a scan and even said there was a heart beat. he gave me iron and vitamines to take each day.
At 11 week 4 days, i discovered a dark clot of blood while cleaning myself after urinating (but i had no cramps) the next day i went to see the doctor who sent me to do a scan, when i got the result, the doc said i was going to have a miscarriage but he was also surprised to see dat it was only an empty sac on it's way out. That nite i started bleeding and went back the the hospital, i was taken to the labour room and that was all about that pregnancy.
Till date i can't really tell what happened to the pregnancy.
Now am married and i've tried for 2 months now but not yet pregnant. it's true dat it's too early to start getting worried but am concerned. I just trust in God who gives children that the time would come.
Please i need some one to tell me more about ovulation kits coz am planning on using it this month.
