The curator had to follow me to another thread to reply to something that completely did not concern him. I have left the other thread to him and his cohorts, but no. The idiot had to follow me here.

I have put a challenge to him. I have three thriving offline businesses as well as my freelance business. I am ready to publish my earnings here every week if need be. Let him show us how much he actually makes from this freelancing stuff. Since he cannot mind his business, I will make it my business to reduce him to size.

Here is a snapshot from one of my freelance accounts. Show us one of your earnings snapshots, and let us all see who is the poor person struggling to make ends meet.

What a sad end. I remember when he scored the unfortunate own goal in the 1984 Sekou Toure Cup (now African Champions League) final second leg in Lagos against Zamalek. One of the two times I cried watching a game (second being that loss to Italy in USA 1994).

RIP!

Don't say false information....I was bidding for a project and mistakenly pressed the sponsored bid button....when I contacted support about the mistake they told me they can only refund it as a bonus. Bonus can only be spent on freelancer and can't be withdraw. Don't come here and say its false....I am tell you what I passed through. I am just tempted to call you an idiot
Mr man, calling me an idiot does not change the obvious. The person in question wants to get a refund of the project fee on a project where the employer has absconded. You are talking of getting back money you used when you clicked the sponsored bid button. How do the two correlate? Are the circumstances the same? I even went ahead to tell you that I have had the same issue and got my money back. Why are you citing a totally different circumstance and brazenly dishing out false information that his project fee money cannot be reimbursed?

I say it again. The freelancer can get a FULL REFUND IN CASH for any project where the employer has absconded or did not follow through with the project. All he needs to do is to contact customer support and state his case and he will get an instant refund of his money. I have used Freelacer since 2010, run 80 projects on that site and made more than $50,000 there. I know the workings of that site in and out.

So if you are tempted to call me an idiot, you can abuse me to your heart's desire now.

Insurance what? That is total BS. You have to pay money to work?

In any case, I am recruiting writers for a project I have on ground presently. This project will involve following an outline already prepared by me. Pay for this particular project is N1,500 for 950 words per article. Apply by sending an email to dankrabb at gmail dot com for a test. I will be selecting this evening.

If your work is good, there will be an opportunity for three projects in December which will guarantee pay of at least N3,000 per article.

Hello everybody.

I'm a frequent visitor to this page. I have an issue and would be grateful if some advice is offered.

Is there a way I can move my funds away from Payoneer (to Paypal, maybe)? My card expires in December and although I've requested for another card, it's yet to land (despite Payoneer saying it'll arrive today).

I know it may arrive eventually, but I'm just thinking, just in case it doesn't. I don't want my money "frozen" in the Payoneer account.

One has to have a plan B.

Thanks in advance.
Your money is safe even if your card is expired. What you should do is to order for a new card by DHL (costs $50 so you must have this money in your account or you can buy from any of the trusted exchangers here). When your card arrives, activate it on Payoneer and the funds will be transferred automatically to your new card.

Do not complicate matters trying to do Payoneer to PayPal and all that stuff. I have used Payoneer cards since 2009 and I am on my 4th card now. This is the process I have always used.

Hello ladywriter, i tried registering with the freelancer but could not conclude because my mastercard details was not accepted. Dont know how to move on.
pls kindly guide me on how to proceed to create an account esp THE PAYONEER. didnt find anything like that on their site.
Create a Payoneer account using another merchant of theirs. Then get an existing Payoneer user to transfer some dollars to your Payoneer card. Use this to activate the card, perform Skrill verification on Freelancer and then add the Payoneer card to freelancer.

You are contradicting yourself or your dad. I witnessed it so know what happened. You were tactically blaming Buhari by suggesting that the food scarcity was because Buhari emptied those selling above government approved rates
Was in my early teens at the time. I witnessed it too and used to accompany my mum a few times as she went to get the essenco items for members of my father's union for sharing at our house back then.

It's a big fat lie. The politicians messed up big time. It was corrupt politicians like Adisa Akinloye,NPN national Chairman and co who were doing round tripping on food stuffs like rice etc. Buhari confiscated those items and ordered that they be exhausted before any further importation. You guys are the criminals trying to bring down this great nation
My father was a unionist and so I had first hand information about what was going on then. Don't confuse the indomie generation unless your family was part of the rot that benefited from the import licenses of that era.

With this news again! I just remembered a story being told by an elderly man that during Buhari military regime..... you either sell at his(Buhari's) goods fixed price or forfeit your goods to military by selling out your stocks on your behalf.

Some Nigerians are bad though.
Yep! That was early 1984. People were jubilating on the streets that a messiah had come...until the good dried up from the market and people had to go to the essenco warehouses to queue for things as basic as tissue and toothpaste.

True, but all that have now been confirmed to be nothing but a "test". The actual job is now, wait for it...$180 per article! Apparently, writers now have more value than security men and cooks and I look forward to hearing testimonies of folks that'll benefit from this impending largesse.
Maybe, just maybe, stagger is not the Ebenezer Scrooge we pictured or perhaps, he's had an early life changing encounter just in time for Christmas.

There was never a problem until certain persons came to poke their noses in my business. They are clearly not who I am looking for, but they just had to come making trouble. Sorry, but if I am pushed to the wall, I will push back.

Thanks to all those who have applied. Greater things await you as the present N1,000 per article project is just a test. Meanwhile, anyone who has coding experience in MQL5 can contact me. I have a contract which will be paying $180 an article. We will put into words, certain aspects of coding for the MT5 platform and we will split the pay 50:50.

I will continue to recruit writers until I have a team of at least 10 solid, reliable writers who will handle my higher paying contracts. So anyone who is up to the task should contact me using the email addy I dropped for your tests. Please I only want to hear from writers. Those who want to make trouble should please stay away.

Mr man, you need to take time to study a situation before you comment. I am looking for a pool of writers who I do not have to micromanage. Did you read that portion of my initial post? NO.

I have a project right now which pays N1000 for 1,000 words. I have projects which pay a lot more, but I can only give them to those within the pool I am assembling when they prove themselves so I can be comfortable giving them out without supervision. I have a site where I get paid $700 an article which I publish once a month. This is a specialist site publishing specialist information for a particular industry. Do you expect me to hand out that level of work to unproven, untested hands? Many people here who claim to be writers cannot even write articles that score 30% in the Flesch readability test. I have given writing tests to many people here before and you need to see how disappointed I was with the outcome. How can I give out a $700 job to someone who cannot even produce a 1,000 word article in a test within a given deadline?

Those who contacted me by sending UNSOLICITED private messages were looking for things for themselves. I am not obliged to answer anyone of them and I did not.

So next time, understand the crux of the argument before you comment. Your comments show you obviously did not follow this from the beginning. I have just challenged one person here to show me a client on Upwork who has paid him $40 per 700 words. Yes they exist, but does he have the skill set to attract such pay? I will like him to prove me wrong.

I hate double-standard, undue display of arrogance. I leave you with this quote by Mahatma Gandhi; "be the change you wish to see in the world."
I won't bother to even respond to the koonbey fellow because he is a non-event. I also would not bother responding to you anymore. I have got applications and from there I will pick my pool of writers to take on the projects I have.

I will end by saying it again. People have to work their way up the ladder and start from the ground floor up. If you feel too big to earn $2 per 1,000 words, then you should move on. Go and earn your millions elsewhere as a Nigerian graduate who is too superior to a cook or a gardener.

Your submission is logical and I am inclined to agree with you. But this person, stagger, had previously boasted of being a 'rich' freelancer who would give free money to students.

Ab initio, when the OP opened this thread to help others he, stagger, never missed an opportunity to display his arrogant attitude nauseatingly. He would claim he's been in this business for long and would boast of 'riches' no one knows whether they are real or imagined.

Even then, people sought his assistance to give some advice to them; they asked him for his niche. He couldn't offer anyone of them a sound advice, didn't reveal his niche.

He, however, gave them one thing and has become known on this thread for that thing: He is always available to offer derogatory remarks in condemning freelancers here who has made one error or another in their freelance business.

He always belabors them, displaying unmerited arrogance, discouraging other kind ace freelancers in giving tyros in the business free advice and tips.

For such a 'prosperous' freelancer, giving a fair deal to writers -- who he wants to give jobs to -- is not unexpected. But clearly, this is a Herculean act for him; he can only offer them what he's best known for -- disparaging remarks.

Only an half-baked graduate can mention Nigerian graduates and writers in the same breath as security men, cooks, inter alios.
Only a half baked Nigerian graduate will think he is of more importance than a security man, a cook, etc. What do you have to offer society that should warrant you being paid more than these people? I have a friend who is a graduate and a chef who makes far more money than you can ever smell in your miserable life.

And yes, if condemning those who use false identities to work is what you consider disparaging remarks, it is a cloak I will glady wear anytime. I will continue to condemn it to the highest heavens. I am a believer in "the process". People must prove themselves. And if you want to earn $1,000 an article, you must be prepared to work your way to that level. It is not handed to anyone on a platter of gold and read my lips: Stagger will hand it to no one.

Much as I've tried to ignore your arrogance, I just can't stand your level of condescension. What exactly do you take us for? What on earth makes you think you're more qualified in any capacity than anybody on this thread? An Indian, yes, the much maligned Indians is currently offering me $100 weekly for a TWO PAGE blog article with all courtesy and respect but here you are, a fellow Nigerian, offering ₦1,000 for a 1,000 word researched piece after a screening test with all the arrogance and condescension of a Nazi death camp warden!
Is it not enough that folks on here have been insulted with your offer that you've now taken it to the level of outright scorn? I've tried to think of a single contribution you've made to this thread and I'm yet to pick out anything tangible but yet you plod around flaunting your real or imagined wealth and status expecting everyone to bow in obeisance? For what exactly? IMHO you're the poorest person in here with absolutely nothing (tangible or intangible) to offer anyone and if it be true that poverty is a state of mind, I can't think of anyone poorer than the scrooge with a supposed "very active dorm account" offering ₦1000 for a 1,000 word article.

Articles are in categories and degrees. I pay as high as N3,500 to N5,000 for specialty articles but these require a great deal of experience and know-how. You cannot compare an SEO article with a general article. Pay can never be the same. How many people can boast of experience in SEO specialty articles that can pass Google Penguin updates for SEO ranking?

How many people can prepare conversion scripts for lead generation campaigns? These are also writing projects but they are highly specialized and not for any Tom, Dick and Harry. Those who need more pay for articles need to develop the skill-set that goes with it. It is as simple as that.
