smileyoo:What will they fight with? Machetes? The Air Force has enough MiGs and Alpha Jets to rout the whole resistance in a week. |
Yujin:You are indeed a first class dolt. Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic were caught after so many years on the run. The ICC is yet to conclude their trials. Who will bring back the thousands whose killings they sanctioned from the dead? Or the more than 3,000 men and boys slaughtered in Srebenica? - How many of the RUF commanders and soldiers have ever been convicted of the atrocities in Sierra Leone? I can tell you: ZERO! ZILCH, NADA, NOUGHT! They were all granted amnesty as part of the peace process! - A US soldier woke up one morning, walked into an Afghan village and killed 18 people. The US never submitted him for trial in Afghanistan, but decided he should be tried at home in the US. The sentence he got? You can Google that and find out. - How many war crimes were punished during the 1967-1970 civil war? Name one person who was convicted for war crimes. What is the lesson here? I can categorically tell you that as long as we have a Northerner in power, the Army will continue to be unleashed on these protesting youths with deadly force. And the herdsmen who actually kill people WILL GO SCOT FREE as they have been for a very long time to come. So if you are waiting for the police or army to handle them with kid gloves, you will wait forever. If you want to be an IPOB advocate, good luck to you. Pray you never end up like that 17 year old boy, Mr Idealist! Get real and tell your friends in IPOB to stop this stupid agitation that will never result in any Biafra and will only lead to more people being killed. Please note: the civil war started as a "police action". It took only two and half years for 3 million people to wind up dead! If you are an IPOB sympathizer, show your sympathy by talking sense into your people. |
What business does a herdsman have in a church? Their impunity is too much. - they have taken over the national stadium in Abuja. - they routinely cross my house area with hundreds of cattle. The other day, two cows were foraging my dustbin. - they parade university grounds (where in the world is this tolerated? Harvard? Melbourne? Cambridge? Really? Cows in an institution of higher learning?) - the other day, an errant heifer took off from his herd and nearly caused an accident along Airport Road. Any errant herdsmen that thinks they have the monopoly of violence should be shown the same mercy they showed the Agatu people, the Enugu people and those in Southern Kaduna, the better. The day of reckoning is coming. |
His mates are in Silicon Valley and places like that in China and all over the world. But at 17 years, he allowed himself to be dragged into things he never understood. 17 years old means he was born in 1999 or 2000. - never saw the horrors of 1967-1970 - was too young to watch the news of people's limbs being hacked off by the RUF in Sierra Leone. - did not watch the horrors of Sarajevo as presented by Christiane Amanpour between 1993-1995. - doesn't know a thing about war. Yet he went marching on the streets of PH for IPOB, for a maniac who has used his radio station to brainwash thousands of youths into a baseless and unachievable dream of a "Biafran" republic for which 3 million people died between 1967 - 1970. Very sad. I weep for the youths of this country. |
What people fail to understand is that the only thing that holds a financial system together is TRUST & CONFIDENCE, moreso in a Ponzi scheme where you need new investments to keep the system running. Once there is erosion of confidence and trust in the system as to stop the flow of new money inflow (in the case of MMM, new PHelpers), that is the beginning of the end. No amount of hope can stop the collapse at this stage. People were warned and they never heeded the warnings. |
BeeBeeOoh:Why do you pay attention to a Pakistani fool called Muhammed Khan? Did a US drone not mistakenly fire at what they thought was Taliban fighters, only for the targets to turn out to be 25 Pakistani soldiers at a checkpoint 2 years ago? You should not waste your time responding to shit pigs like that fellow or even the other ignorant Americans on Twitter. The ignorance of many Americans, Asians and Europeans is so vast, it is unbelievable! |
Herdsmen rampaged in the SE; Buhari kept mum. Now an airforce jet bombed his people up north; he commiserates with them in less than 24 hours. We are watching and documenting.... |

The views being expressed by the ABCON guy are the most nonsensical I have heard in a long while. I see the guy on TV just talking gibberish. One time he was asked by the Channels TV reporter how much his own BDC was selling the dollar and he took 5 minutes just talking nonsense without providing a simple one-sentence answer. Which means he is part of the rot in the system. Take a look at their website: so unprofessional. - how does the exchange rate portal bring correction of the divergence we are seeing between the interbank rate and the parallel market rate? - how is Abokifx.com's reportage of the street and ATM conversion rates of the Naira to foreign currencies affect the exchange rates? |
This place is fast losing its value with all the e-currency adverts, yet there is a thread specially created for that purpose. Why is it that we Nigerians have a problem maintaining the sanctity of things that have value? |
OP, You deserve no sympathy. Upon all the warnings, you still went ahead to gamble funds you could not afford to lose on MMM. Why are you disturbing us here with a matter that does not concern us? |
Very interesting post. Here is my take on this. Some of the businesses mentioned here are on a grey line. For instance, using a foreign university to get dollars from the Federal Govt, only to withdraw the cash and sell on the black market is HIGHLY ILLEGAL. In some countries, Ymodulus would get a death penalty if he is caught. Under Buhari's regime in the 80s, this would have been a crime under the Decrees on Currency Trafficking (for which Fela was jailed for 5 years) or Economic Sabotage. That he pulled it off ONE TIME shows he knows the extreme risk he took and the penalty he could face if he is busted. A true Christian, Muslim or plain traditional/agnostic moralist who wants to stick to the laws of his country would probably not engage in that business. The other businesses he mentioned such as that of tomatoes and Bitcoin are perfectly legal. Bitcoin is unregulated and will remain so. Cryptocurrencies were designed to break the monopoly of control and regulation that central banks have on money supply and on money as a means of exchange. I have written about this in international publications and as long as Bitcoin can be bought and sold and no laws exist in Nigeria to regulate or stop its trade, it can be traded very well. I congratulate Ymodulus for taking this business to the next level. But what is the take-home from Ymodulus's adventure? - You have to be daring. - You have to be an action-taker. Nairaland is littered with people who want to replicate the success of Ymodulus but will never take action. - Cut your own niche. As far as I am concerned (my own views only please), nobody needs to call Ymodulus for anything special. His threads on how he succeeded in 2015 and 2016 are self explanatory. LOOK FOR AN OPPORTUNITY AND PURSUE IT BEFORE EVERY TOM, DICK AND HARRY DOES. I see people now wanting to "partner" with him. While that is not entirely bad, but consider if every one here wanted to partner with him. How does he manage that? If you notice, he puts out the information, and he goes silent. He expects us to pick the lessons from his journey and use it. - You have to be bold. Sometimes, you need to be able to walk into an office and ask to see the highest ranking person there. You can see how he was able to secure some of his connects, be it in Mile 12, in Cameroun, the private university, etc. He was able to structure himself to break into places most people would dread to go. All told, I picked lessons from his posts. While I may not be tempted to enter businesses which I feel are against my conscience, morality and religion, I can definitely use these nuggets of gold posted here for my own benefit in my own businesses too. I also had a good 2016, but it could have been way better. I hope to change my 2016 mistakes in 2017. Thanks to Ymodulus for this post, which has provided is with an inspirational start to the new year. |
Junk journalism at its best. So the man's wife should not sell shoes again abi? Do they expect the pastor and his wife to come publicly to beg for money to pay school fees? Go check school fees in a university like University of Melbourne Australia and you will know that anybody that does not engage in some form of high-end business will never be able to send their kids to good schools. Most journalists in this country are just useless! |
When you are so broke, even N10,000 can be like N10m. I was in that boat years back but thank God for upliftment. Congrats to the OP. |
Frankly, the ceremony and performances were on point. Especially Omawumi's first song (I believe it is a remix of "Megbele", right?). Kudos! |
What I see is a lord and his serfs. Look at how the guy is sitting like a don! |
See as grown men dey queue for free food like small children. But looked at another way, they deserve to starve. Let them get the change that they voted for. Join us in SS to vote our brother, dem no gree. Useless people. |
Very immature couple. Do they think that those of us who are married do not have problems? But we sort them out privately and not taking it to the social media. Even if the wife went AWOL, can't the guy use surreptitious means of tracking her down? |
Don't mind this OP. The Air Force hospital in Kaduna is the last bus stop for medical tests on candidates going on such training. What these candidates do is to bribe their way trough the regional tests and exercises, then they meet a road block when they get to Kaduna because at that stage, there is no way to bribe anyone. OP should come up with the truth. |
My friend, go and cut your nails. At least you have enough money now to afford the best manicure. |
Lesgupnigeria:Hello Legsupnigeria and happy new year. Are these costs still valid as at today? This will be my newest business venture. Cannot imagine how a bottle of palm oil that was going for N250 under GEJ was selling for as high as N900 in the Xmas week, with a 25 litre jerry can selling for N28,000 at some point. Will be siting the mill in the SE. |
Mod change that scoreline abeg! |
One of my jeeps uses two gallons of synthetic oil which costs N11,000 a gallon. By the time I do an oil change, have I not spent the 30k? That money cannot change anybody's life; just helps to pay some bills. I would advise the beneficiaries to get a business by the side to do along with teaching. Jack Ma, China's richest man and owner of Alibaba, was an English teacher! How about that? |
prologue:He is Eggon. He talked of operating in Doma LGA. I think that is where the trading axis for egusi and other commodities like Sesame is located. |
It is stupid pastors who are actually wolves in sheep clothing that are giving Christianity a bad name. She should remarry a pastor....what kind of pastor says such things? |
The govt announced Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th as holidays. No banking till Thursday 29th. |
How can someone be crying over N30,000 job when some people I know have given out such amounts as Christmas gift this period? Please someone should help me talk some sense to this lady. Look at business opportunities everywhere in Nigeria. Nigeria is begging for manufacturers, no matter how small, to enter the market. I know an ILLITERATE woman who was depositing N20,000 into her cooperative EVERYDAY from frying Akara! Yet a full-blooded graduate is crying about missing verification for a N30,000 a month job. Sometimes I think our problem is that too much theoretical education from our tertiary institutions has blunted the initiatives of the youths of this country. As I dey now, if I am earning N100,000 a month as salary, I should be miserable. Very miserable indeed! |
nummyjenny:Have you ever heard of Mt. Gox? |
haibe:You probably did not know when Winners Chapel was feeding civil servants in Osun state when Aregbe was owing his people 9 months salary arrears. You believe what you want to believe; that is how people like you are wired. |
There is something many people here do not understand. Business is not something you do by proxy. If you are not prepared to get your feet dirty and encounter all the variables involved, then stick to your day job and collect salary at month end. At least if govt owes you, your union can go on strike until they pay! |
Crazy govt! You can NEVER eliminate a black market for a commodity in high demand. Be it illicit narcotics, performance enhancing drugs in sports, currencies, sex, pharmaceuticals, weapons, etc. There is always a black market somewhere for a product on the globe and it can never be eliminated. It is that simple. Even for the Naira, there is a black market. You go to the bank asking for change, it is not available. You go to the streets at selected areas and you can get change for high denomination notes, for which you must surrender some of the money as the service charge. Is that not a black market in operation? The sooner we wizen up to the fact that this govt has ZERO SOLUTIONS to Nigeria's problems, the better. |
Until he is declared legally dead, there is no way they can even start the process of transferring the rights of administration of the account to the next of kin or the man's kids. I think they have to wait for 7 years from the date he was reported missing, so the senior lawyer who advised the family is correct. |
