Elxandre:Even if the school was built with tithes and offerings, I maintain it again: ANY MAN WORTH HIS SALT SHOULD BE ABLE TO PAY FOR HIS KID'S EDUCATION AND NOT WAIT FOR FREE SCHOOLS FROM ANYWHERE, CHURCH INCLUDED! The responsibility of ending poverty in a society is the government through effective policy formulation. It is not the responsibility of any church to do so. Go to Ota. Winners built the roads around there. Redeemed had to repair a portion of a Lagos-Ibadan express road. The list goes on and on; churches doing what govt ought to be doing. Is that not why people voted for APC? |
The man putting up the sign posts is very stupid! Are buildings, school books paid for with stones? Are the salaries of teachers or the infrastructure in these schools which no government (Federal, State or Local) can provide paid for with sand? On what basis should education provided by churches be free? Scholarships are given by these schools based on academic excellence. If you want your children to attend those schools, go and hustle and pay for your children's education or you groom them to be smart enough to win scholarships. Simple. It is the responsibility of parents to pay for their children's fees. My father was a real man and paid for all our fees without hoping for a church to put up a free school so his children can attend. If the person who put up these signposts believes his wife should be in the kitchen or the other room, then the productive time he is wasting going around to put up signposts should be used to hustle to pay his kids' fees. Any man who is busy with his wife in the other room producing babies should be man enough to get money to pay for their fees and not rely on a church to do that for him. Stupid man! |
winj3:Exactly what about this custom is backward? So the white people who marry and divorce four, five times are the civilized ones? Emancipate yourself from neo-colonialism and mental slavery. |
My father never did it and neither will I. As a man who is making my own money, what am I doing with my wife's salary for crying out loud? Am I using it to bath or what? |
SpitsOnYoruba:Only civilians in the realm of the spirit talk like this. Even occultists know better. |
Nsonaso:I believe you went to school, can read and therefore can understand the context in which the comparison was made. Stick to your e-currency business and don't quote (or misquote) me. |
AbuMikey:Some of you make the craziest suggestions. No right thinking American will give out such privileged information to a Nigerian to do something that is to the best of my knowledge, nefarious. Are you for real? Suggesting someone to give out a US Tax ID and SSN? You can as well give out your BVN to your friend to transact anywhere. |
gretblue:You need a complete re-education on taxation and the various loopholes that exist, even in Nigeria. Do you know that in Nigeria, manufacturers who promote employment of labour using their businesses are entitled to a certain level of tax deductions in Nigeria? Dangote has been using this for years. Almost all rich businessmen have tax consultants who know all the loopholes and exploit them. Trump has broken no tax rules, else the IRS would have been on his case since. Clinton has too many friends on Wall Street that have benefited from the same loopholes. But of course, if you are a 9-5 salary earner, you would not know anything about this. |
omolola15:In all what you have said, you have not presented a jot of evidence as to the guilt of the man in question. You read the news and just pass judgement. What are the courts there for? Even in your village, are both parties to a dispute not called to present their cases and swear to the oracle? Do the high priests who administer this process just pass judgement? |
omolola15:In all what you have said, you have not presented a jot of evidence as to the guilt of the man in question. |
omolola15:Has he been tried and proven guilty by any court? |
Check this out: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016/10/09/trump-comes-out-swinging-and-wins-second-debate.html The media is only a tool in the hands of politicians and the rich and mighty and they spin the news the way they want the world to see it. CNN is Pro-Clinton. Fox News is Pro-Trump. It is left for the independent viewer to decide who won and who they will vote for. |
MalcoImX:CNN has been biased against Trump from the onset. It shows in the line of questioning and the reportage of the election. Why not go to Fox News and see what their poll numbers show? |
I cannot recollect Cristian Chukwu, Sunday Egboigbe, Uche Okechukwu and co committing the kind of schoolboy defending errors we see very often with the Super Eagles central defenders of today. What is really wrong/ Can't we hire defensive coaches? |
Smart governor. He has to ply those roads if he has to travel to his village just after Opi in Nsukka from the state capital. That Opi-Obollo end is simply a death trap. What we have there are no longer fit to be called potholes. They are full-fledged craters. |
Nightshift:Where is Mike Obi the dead ball specialist and Benedict Ugwu? Jay Jay Okocha, Victor Okoh (goalkeeper), Iyalla Iyalla, Azuka Asomugha and co are of the latter generation who got to the FA Cup Final in 1990 against the Adeshina Shobayo led Stationery Stores and lost in the final. |
N2m in one day. Haaa! You should be the next Dangote of Nairaland. If you could make N2m in one day, then why are you putting up this post to lead to selling something? |
USD today was 450/455 at Abuja. Apparently the CBN met the BDC demand in the morning. |
Neduzze5:Their people sometimes pose as employers looking for those who will fall foul of the law. Never attempt to accept being paid outside Upwork if the employer suggests it. It is always a trap. |
For once I am on the right side of the equation. Let us all enjoy the change we did/did not vote for. |
Unfortunately he has seen this and all he can do is shake his head. |
Sheraton Abuja rate is 445/452 to 1 USD. Thank you. |
Obilo123:These are the kinds of statements that just make me livid with fury. Have you ever bought dollars to pay for school fees or buy domain name or pay for books from Amazon at N305? Our refusal to confront reality in this country is our greatest undoing. |
Rhyming with the radio. I once saw one guy who was using his horn to synchronize with the beat of the song booming from his radio. Oh boy, what could be more annoying? |
Who says everybody must pass WAEC and go to university? OP, find your skill and pathway in life and follow it. Depression is a very bad thing and I am happy you found a very good outlet for it. Some get into drugs, binge eating, alcohol and even worse like cultism where they start killing people as an outlet for aggression. Good thing you chose to work out. You can also become a part time model doing commercials and photo shoots. |
zopaks:So what if all these news spook participants and the number of new "helpers" drop, falling below the numbers that request for help, what happens? I tell you that the scheme will collapse soon in Nigeria. It is just a matter of time. |
This is what Dangote and his people want to buy through the back door. Nonsense! |
The funny thing about this argument is that all parties are correct to an extent. You can process garri the local way (claraworld), or you can do it the FAO way (garriguy). The prices of the machines given by garriguy are actually correct. You just need to visit Capsfeed or NVNL. Even PRODA's machines are uber expensive. I am however inclined to believe that disposing garri in the marketplace to market women in bags is much more profitable. People simply do not just buy packaged garri. That may work for Nigerians in diaspora, but not for the local market. Let us make our contributions productive so we can take something from all sides. Name calling is not the way. |
The moment a woman resorts to this type of physical violence, she has lost the right to be treated like a woman. She should have her head broken as well. |
Exoticstan:Back then on Elance, identity verification was required. Else how would I have collected my monies in my domiciliary account here in Naija? |

. Well, I've opened a new account and started bidding again. Will make sure to finish my 60 connects before the new month and hope I'd get a job before then.
