My doctor friends tell me it is just something related to drug reactions. Not that it can pass from one person to another like the big one. Just spreading panic to an already panicked population. |
The APC is now complete. Congrats to all those who voted for APC. They have now got what they were looking for. |
Yekini was not broke when he died. There is a spiritual root to his family issues. Even his death was not ordinary. Yekini played for African Sports, Victoria Setubal and Olympiakos for several years. Was highest goal scorer for Setubal for 2 years straight, even though the club was relegated. Only Andrew Johnson of Crystal Palace then even came near such a record of most goals in a season for a relegated club. Even a news organization that visited his bank when he became a recluse confirmed that his accounts were still in good shape. So how can his mother now be selling bread to survive? There is something we are not being told about his family issues. Who was in charge of his money before he died? Who were the people who were alleged to have forcefully taken him out of his home a few days before he died? Many questions. No answers. |
Aggrrrrrrr! |
I took my first test in 1998, the most recent in September last year. In my own case, my three last tests were taken when I had to donate blood, and everything was impromptu with my wife and relations around, so you can imagine what it would have been like if I was positive. The wait for the result is nerve racking. But why you had to come public with this is what I cannot fathom. Nigeria has a long way to go concerning discrimination and stigmatization. |
Agozie48:You don't know what these politicians do to these young girls here in Abuja. I do. I don't need to meditate on jack before I post on things I know. I will not mention names for security reasons but this law is the highest point of hypocrisy. |
I find it ridiculous... this new law. You want to jail randy lecturers for sleeping with female students, but the same lawmakers import these same girls and put them in Transcorp and other hotels in Abuja to f**k them. Who is really deceiving who? This country never ceases to amaze me. |
200,000 pounds for a 19-year old. Even more prolific strikers do not earn as much as that. He had better be careful before he ruins his career before it starts. He should sign a new 3-year deal for much less, prove himself highly indispensable as a striker who always starts matches (not coming on from the bench) and then he can press for such money. |
Emmaesty:This is the mentality that enslaves people to paid jobs. I know hired taxi guys who operate only at night to carry drops, ferrying people from house to club, club to club and from club to house. You can't pay less than 1k to go from Wuse 2 to Gwarinpa. Such guys make up to 10k just working from 10pm to 3am. Then there are those who run airport taxi runs. They can make up to 10k a day. The plan is never to keep driving until old age sets in. Many of them acquire more vehicles and give out. A carefully structured taxi business can bring the operator up to 5 or 6 cars in a 10 year period. Peace Mass Transit started with the main man himself driving his one single bus from Enugu to Nsukka and back starting in 1994. Now 22 years later, is he the one driving his more than 10,000 buses? For the bank worker, they think they are on top of the world until the dreaded sack letter shows up. Then they suddenly find they have no skills, no business acumen, NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH! I know many of them. So between the taxi man and the bank worker, who is really on top? |
They may look innocent now, but give them 10 more years and their terrorist genes will be activated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNqcwEozlKc You allow even one of these to grow up unmonitored and eventually get radicalized and you put hundreds at risk. Hundred people killed by one person. Do the Maths. |
This is not about legitimacy but about sanity and sanctity of the Business section. Period. |
Truth234:This has nothing to do with legitimacy. But open the Business thread and look at the whole thread from A-Z. We know what the business section was like before. Now it is a complete mess. I hardly even look at two posts there before I switch off and do something else. The average time I spend on Nairaland has dropped dramatically because of the eyesore that the place has become. Frankly some level of sanity has to be put in place and this ban is long overdue. With time, it will be possible to revisit the ban and know what can be allowed or disallowed within the forex or sports betting niches. The level of abuse is unbelievable. |
You may have to add binary options as well. Let's keep the business section clear for real business which pays as a result of effort and hard work put in. Not all these kalo kalo gambling enterprises. |
mployer:How many cases of Yahoo Yahoo do you hear of today compared to several years back? More youths are turning to sports betting. Besides with the BVN, I do not see why PayPal should still classify Nigeria as a send-only country. |
That pic of a herdsman carrying an FN rifle: which air force personnel be im relative? We need to ask well o. |
Wedding is for a day, marriage is for a lifetime. Those who think it is all about marrying in a posh venue in Dubai are in for a very long thing. Some of us have been in the business for years and it is a learning process with lots of sacrifice to be made by both parties for ultimate peace and unity. |
SurefireAsoOke:This was commonplace during the July 1966 pogrom. |
Operation Clean Sweep is what I would declare in secret after crying openly. |
beGOOD4aba:How long did it take for your former President to go to Chibok to see the families of more than 200 school girls abducted? Could all the money he was dishing out for prayers to come back not have paid for those families to come to Aso Rock to see him if he was too afraid for his life to go there? Now Fayose has taken it upon himself to go personally to visit these grieving families. Whether for show or genuinely done, AT LEAST HE WENT. Your former President's wife was busy denying that an abduction even took place. Nigerians are never happy. If Fayose had not gone, they will say he is callous and uncaring. Now he has gone to show sympathy, they say he is seeking attention. Wow! |
I tell you if we can see better organization, more innovation, good football and better funding, people will return to watch the NPFL in numbers live in the stadiums. I am seeing myself becoming a fan once more after the glory years of the 80s. |
frankstein109:Must we always borrow the white man's concepts? How many clubs can successfully maintain football-only stadia? Multi-purpose stadia in a resource-deprived environment like Nigeria are the way to go. By the time you have track events, indoor hall events and the like, you see the stadium being put to use and money comes in for maintenance. I am sure you never went to watch football in places like Ogbe Stadium, Onika Stadium, Ahmadu Bello stadium and the rest in the 80s. The stadia were always packed to the brim and no one complained. Come to Abuja and ask yourself how many events have held in the cycling Velodrome 13 years after the All-African Games we hosted. |
Patronage of one of my company's products has soared. We have made in Q1 2016 what we made in 2014 and 2015 combined. Positioning is the key to taking advantage of any situation. |
Bayelsa has no single viable industry sector. Every big man just wants to get contracts and build hotels. Bayelsa produced a governor that could build a refinery in Brazil and houses in Florida which have been confiscated by the US govt. How such a state can be owing civil servants for 5 months is simply unbelievable. I am totally dumbfounded as to how Jonathan could have left his state in such an unbelievable mess. |
Sai sai, eehhh ooohhh ehh ehh ehh sai sai... RIP Papa Wemba! |
Bishopmayowa:My brother don't mind that mumu. Air Force one is escorted by at least 6 F-16 Falcon jets. How much does that cost? Air Marshall Sadiq Abubakar has paid his dues. Is it easy to attend NDA, go to ECOMOG and finally rise to become Chief of Air Staff in a career spanning more than 30 years? He has paid his dues. Anyone who wants to become a CoAS can as well join NDA and hope he does not get shot down in combat to survive up until this point. |
I thought the deal kicks in October 1st 2016. Please enlighten me better! |
So after paying all this, a woman will come and be talking gender equality? Nonsense! |
Jacko1:You are the biggest fool I have encountered online ever. That award is given to 1000 Africans in 53 countries. This is not a Nigerian thing so stop this rubbish. You want to teach Tony Elumelu how to spend his money? Was it your sense that he used in making the money he is giving out? Anuofia! |
Forensics will easily solve this case. Extract the bullet rounds and conduct ballistics on them. Get the SARS men supposedly on duty on that day to give an account of the bullets they were issued and isolate those who used rounds on that day. Get these to submit their rifles for cross referencing of the ballistic markings on their gun barrels to the markings on the bullets. Each carries a unique ballistic signature. That will easily include or exclude anyone of the SARS guys. Abroad, there is no way such killings would go without thorough investigation and the culprit will easily be nabbed. It is easy to tie a gunshot to the firearm used in such killing. |
lukasmuyiwa:You this Adventurer! Na here you fit make noise abi? Nonsense! |
The things that never happened under GEJ have reared their ugly heads once more under PMB. Same ol' same ol' stuff. |
VintageCocktail:8000 applicants in 10 hours is a massive amount of traffic. If that site stays on for a month, do you know how many would have registered? |

Meaning we are not jobless after all. I mean in a country filled with millions of unemployed youths....8000 is insignificant.
