looplat: Not surprised, what do you expect from Igbos? If they remove their money from your state's economy and move elsewhere, you will die of hunger. I hope you know that. |
Please who can tell me the lingua franca in NEMA and SEC? Or even at the Louis Edet Building which is supposed to be the headquarters of our FEDERAL Police? Or in NNPC under Barkindo? HAUSA! Those people making noise should first search themselves. The Northerners are Nigeria's problem, not the Igbo. |
1025: my brother, it is quite unfortunate that we find ourselves here but epl is crap with a lot of fraudulent decisions here and there. i am a chelsea fan yet, i demand to know why fa had to wait this long before deciding terry's man unlike the way saurez issue was handled. again, u want to kick out recism, henderson costed liverpool 20 million, torres - 50 million while demba ba is at 7 million. kick out ferguson because he is the chief racist in england.Only Chelsea fans reason like this. A club that is not even as decorated as Nottingham Forest or Aston Villa, before you even come to the true big boys. You probably just started watching football 2 years ago. My first Man U vs Man City match was watched in 1984. Grow up and get a life. |
slap1: Ease off, bro. I'm not what you think! The cheque was signed on Friday, the day I picked it, so I could have cashed it that day, if I want. So my DNA is different from yours, ok?You picked up a cheque on Friday, and as at Monday afternoon, it is still in your possession. Taxi guys have picked up millions here in the FCT on countless occasions and returned the money sameday. You pick up a crossed check you can never even cash and you are still with it 4 days after. So what is your DNA made of? |
Does anyone know how much $350million is in Naira? If he had succeeded in saving even 1% of that money and relocating to Naija, his life would be a whole lot different. |
Tear the cheque up. Simple and short. Or you go back and drop it where you got it from. I know what is going on in your heart right now, and I can tell you that the road you are hoping you can take will take you into a very dark alley. |
My area has been having light constantly. Maybe because of the new substations built last year close to where I live. |
A deathbed repentance will lead one to heaven. But then, who knows what his or her deathbed will be? I know people who have died in their sleep. For Sam Okwaraji and Mark Vivien Foe, their deathbed was in a soccer field. For Dele Giwa, it was in his study. For 153 passengers, it was in a Dana Air plane. For MC Loph, it was in his car at the Benin Ore road. For Fabrice Muamba, the soccer field was almost his deathbed. In all these instances, death came suddenly without a chance to conduct the repentance. SO if you live your life waiting for that one last chance, the chance may pass suddenly without your ever knowing it. Likewise, it is possible to live as a Christian, and make one last mistake that will deny you the chance of eternal life. I had cause to re-examine myself last week and found out that I was in this category, so I had to ask God for forgiveness and I also wish to use this opportunity to ask those who I have used abusive language on here on N'Land for forgiveness. Subsequently, I have decided to use gentle persuasion as opposed to aggression in arguing opinion differences. So there you have it. |
What about the suspicious cup of tea Abiola was said to have been served an hour before he died? |
Mods, Can you take this off the front page? The fellow was asked how he felt when someone else called his dad a liar and he gave an answer any true son of his father would. How does that translate to the stupidly deceptive topic bandied about by Yahoo and now by Nairaland? |
What happened to Danny Gwira? |
I handle feeding and household expenses. I pay 80% of the rent. Other major expenses are shared in varying degrees, We have no hard and fast rules. At the end of the day, it is understanding. But the man should be the financial driver. It is the natural law set by God. Her money is her money, and good women will occasionally bring it out without asking if PHCN takes light on the guy's finances temporarily. Women generally know how to manage money and keep it aside. men are bad savers, myself included. Give a man extra cash and he is looking for the latest toy to acquire to compete or to keep up with the Joneses. |
As a Christian who also plays a musical instrument, I do listen to secular music that is not vulgar. For instance, I wouldn't listen to Timaya's "Shake Ya Bum Bum", but I could listen to his "Dem Mama" because of the message behind the song that reminds us about the horrors of the Odi invasion which left half the women in that community infected by HIV by soldiers in the Nigerian Army. I also listen to Bob Marley. I also listen to love songs that are wholesome because as a husband, I am supposed to give my wife all the sexual satisfaction she deserves. So I could listen to "Lady in Red", Love Light in Flight (Stevie Wonder), "As" by Stevie Wonder remixed by George Michael and Mary j Blige. I am also a fan of Maxi Priest: his songs are tight and he doesn't do videos of near nude women. I could never listen to confirmed satanists like Jay Z or Kanye West. I also do not listen to D'Banj: I have never understood the craze for his songs because as far as I am concerned, the guy's songs are complete BS in terms of melody, etc. And I would take Anita Baker or Gladys Knight anyday over Beyonce. I can never listen to Rihanna; she is a lost soul as far as I am concerned. Chris Brown and Jay Z have ruined her life. She came into the industry pure and has been badly contaminated. As for Nicki Minaj, God knows if I had the power, I would burn all her CDs. I have known Justice (Jay Martins) way before he even started singing commercially. His piano and guitar skills are secondary to none and I enjoy some of his songs. One of my favourite stations on DSTV is the Classical Music channel. Once I finish my Saturday morning football, I take a bath and listen to songs from that channel and I wake up in another world. I am a student of music by George Handel (such as his opera pieces Judas McCaebbeus and Don Giovanni, Water Music and The Messiah). I also love Johann Sebastian Bach's piano sonatas in G Major and F Major, as well as several pieces by Chopin, Georg Haydn, Wolfgang Mozart and some of the Viennese period composers like Schubert, Schumann. And how can I forget my most favourite classical piece: 4 seasons by Antonio Vivaldi? Probably the greatest classical piece ever composed. There are songs that edify the soul which are not necessarily gospel music. Then there are the obscene ones, and there are the downright satanic ones like the heavy metal music of Ozzy Osbourne. I can never have those in my house and will never listen to such. |

Conversion is a function of the quality of the ad copy of your product. So if your ad is generating good traffic but poor conversions, then you need to work on your ad copy. |
I actually recognize the guy in the Chelsea shirt. He used to sell bread at that Choba junction years ago (sometime between 1990 and 1992). Too bad for him. |
Yes, 76 stabbed wounds. But the Pathologist did not state WHO inflicted the wounds. Was some of the womn's DNA found on the man's article of clothing, his nails, on his body, etc? This is why Naija is still backward. In other countries, this would have been an open and shut case. |
I watched one of his programs in 2008 and I could immediately see through his charade. How can a man and woman live together without courtship? That is like telling someone to enter a Boeing 737-300 without going to flying school. Both he and the aircraft will end up damaged goods. So it is with marriage without courtship. |
Half bag that used to be N1000 is now N5000 in PH. No be small thing o! |
Will your wife point a gun at your head to send money to her mother every month? Unfortunately, you are in a country where the law is on the side of women. You better relocate back to naija! |
Logicboy03: See this thief. You must be making some income from the tithes of sheep in some church. So you just sit in your house, and conclude that pastors don't pay tithe without any empirical or statistically-derived evidence. And we wonder why the black man is in a depraved state! |
Callotti: Comments reserved:Were they the cultists or were there others whose presence alerted the village vigilante? |
blessamo: Good day sir,There is no such thing as cash and carry for this high volume, high capital business. I only attend to those with capacity. You make payment for at least three trucks to our account and we supply. The cycle is repeated until your order is complete. Pipelines have been vandalized so it may be difficult fulfilling orders from Kaduna. |
tommyskull: Hi stagger, I have sent you an SMS but it never left my phone. Please contact me at 08099366030. I would be happy to hear back from you. Thank youcheck your mail. |
OP, you need to adopt a policy of advance payment or you refuse the contract. That model has worked for me for years. The problem is that many people do not turn down jobs from some of these chronic debtors, maybe out of hunger. You need to filter your clients. |
Now that africa has a new World cup qualification format where the existing 10 groups will produce 10 group winners who will now play home and away knockout matches to determine the qualifiers, we have to be prepared for more of such occurrences. |
Cote D'Ivoire was leading 2-0 with two second half goals from Didier Drogba. Meanwhile, Morocco just hammered Mozambique 4-0. Hmm, if Nigeria had drawn Morocco with what I saw them playing, we would have been in real soup. |
There is another woman who is now taking his money and attention. Classical, especially when both of you live apart. Where does he satisfy his sexual urge, or you think he holds it for two months? I don't know why some women are so naive. You need to find out who she is and deal with the situation both physically and spiritually. |
Antivirus92: one day an hausa man will walk into ur umunna meeting and tell them that he's no more hausa but igbo. Hope u will accept him!Have you been to the Hausa community at Onu-Asata in Enugu? All the Hausa kids there are bi-lingual. Do your research. |
There are too many people ignorant about that case. The entire case bordered on border readjustment and allocation of rights to the waters off the Bight of Benin all the way to Sao Tome. Nigeria got more land allocated to it than was lost from Bakassi. Land was carved out from Cameroun and allocated to Adamawa and Taraba states. In addition, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Equatorial Guinea had all the water around that area shared between the 3 countries. The oil in this area is all offshore; the Bakassi landmass is barren. TOTALLY BARREN. THERE IS NO OIL IN THE BAKASSI PENINSULA. I have the facts of this case given to me by one of Nigeria's lawyers to the Hague where this case was handled. I am sure that the Fed Govt was advised on the implications of an appeal. That would have meant reversing everything we got from that case, because Nigeria actually gained from that judgement. The only snag is that Nigeria should have resettled the Bakassi people into a special area created for them. Our constitution permits the creation of special areas for the purpose of census, voter's registration and elections. One thing is that we never find out facts before rushing to judgement. |
