rhymz: so since Odili and co has swindled Nigeria, that is enough reason for your bible wielding con star, Oledepo to capitalize on that and worsen the situation with their phantom elite schools and out of rich housing projects. Dem don talk say that man dey do mass brainwashing and mind programming experiment on his sheepish congragation in ota. If only you knew any better you will see the folly in your irrational belief in your imperfect pastor that is a poster child for Church business and scheming. He is full of vanity and materialism, he can continue to decieve himself and goons like you but to me, he is nothing different from Odili and co except that he is a smooth talking criminal that has got the perfect suckers.

'Y not use the money to build free schools for the less privileged?' .. yea, he's now your Governor.. Mscheww
Thank you abeg!

Don't mind the fool that is thinking with his rear end. Pastor should come to build free schools when Governors like Alams, Ipah Igbinedion and Ibori cleaned out their state treasuries to build refineries abroad and their people are paying N97 per litre as a result and Peter "Donatus" Odili built a hospital in South Africa that the builder has snatched from him.

Or Bishop should build free schools when IBB could not build more than one power plant, and now wants to buy another one with the money he stole from Nigeria.

And you wonder why Nigeria is getting worse when the people are ignorant and blind fools chasing shadows.

Nonsense!
Car TalkRe: What To Do If You See A Pothole At 100km/hr Speed Or Above? by stagger: 5:42pm On Sep 28, 2012
Two things:

a) FOLLOW THE TRANSPORTERS! They know the roads in and out because they drive it everyday. With this alone you can never fall into a pothole.

b) In the rare event that this happens, two things:

- if you are using a 4WD or RWD (Mercedes products), engage your brakes and swerve around the pothole: the car can handle it.
- if you are using a FWD (Japanese cars), you may need to force your car into a lower gear top assist in cutting your speed. The car will ker heavily, but you will achieve speed reduction in a manner that will not cause a summersault (which will occur if you just ram the brakes only).

It's not a car that you park at your house mind you the pay a hell of money every other night just to keep it in an airport hanger, I don't know you but if this is your mentality then am damn sure you are poor. Having a private jet is a liability, then 3 is liability X 3. Why do shrewd business men like Dangote and Adenuga own one each when the can obviously have more?

My guy,

If your idea of giving offering to your God is to drop a squeezed, washed up N20 polymer note, then poverty will hound you forever. Divest yourself of poverty mentality. Attack me: after all offerings are given in every church I know of.

Even if you are an occultic man, do you go to see native doctor with N20? He will give you a good beating for coming to insult him with it. Now imagine giving Baba God N20 on Sunday. The One that gives you life, protects you, feeds you, made you see today to come to Nairaland: you give N20 on Sunday. God forgive you.

If you are waiting for money to go to Covenant University, I got news for you: I went to a Comprehensive secondary school. I did not go to any Bereton Montessori school in those days. So wake up: private universities are not for everybody. Graduates of public universities in Naija are making waves everywhere.

I did my Youth service in one of the flight operations bases of the Nigerian Air Force. I was already enrolled to do the Direct Short Service Commission before I decided not to join as it would not allow me pursue my biz dreams.

I can teach you about rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft and I am highly knowledgeable about Aviation. I know all the Air Commodores who fly the Presidential aircraft one on one. I know when the Air Force purchased certain aircraft that necessitated the travel of several pilots and aircraft engineers to Italy and Ukraine for training in 2005/2006.

I can tell you that a typical C-check costs about $3USmillion. I can tell you where in Europe these C checks are done. I can tell you where Aero Contractors does their bi-annual SIM.

On the contrary, you are dumb. A nitwit who knows NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH about aircraft or aviation. If you want, I will sit you down and give you a sound education on aircraft and aviation matters.

Captwahala: Your list is totally full of errors
Type Price Owner
1. Falcons 7X. $51m(N8.2billion) Mike Adenuga (possibly on order, but i think he has a falcon 900 on order, half the price)

2. Bombardier Global 6000 $45.5m (N7.3billion) Unknown (River State Government among others have this on order)

3. Bombardier Global Express 5000 $45m (N7.2billion) Aliko Dangote (I think he has a Global XRS which is a bit more expensive, not a 5000)

4. Gulfstream G550 $40m(N6.4billion) Bishop Oyedepo (I doubt. Baba has a Challenegr 604 and a Beechcraft 1900D. There used to be a Hawker 800, which I think he sold.)

5. Gulfstream V $30m(N4.8billion) Bishop Oyedepo & Pastor Adeboye (Bishop Oyedepo see #4 above. Baba Adeboye has a G4 not a G5)

6. Bombardier Challenger 604 $30m(N4.8b) Mike Adenuga (you got this one right, he also has a Global Express XRS $45-50m)

7. Embracer Legacy 650 $30m (N4.8b) Ifeanyi Uba (I'm not too sure, he was supposed to get a Challenger 605 but it was put on hold during the banking crisis)

8. Hawker 900XP $20m(N3.2b) Dr Kashim and Sir Aremu Johnson (Kashim of Barbedos group has a Hawker but i dont know whether its an 800Xp or a 900XP. He also has at least one, possibly two, Embraer Legacy $30m and a Learjet 45 see #10 below) (Arumemi Johnson has a Global Express XRS $45-50m + two Hawker 800XPs + an airline)

9. Gulfstream G450 $15m(N2.4b) Bishop oyedepo (not too sure about this one, see #4 above)

10. LearJet $13.3m (N2.1b) Bishop Oyedepo and Dr Kashim (Bishop Oyedepo.not too sure about this one, see #4 above) (Kashim =true)

This is not the top 10 list at all. What about the chap with the G550 ($60m) and a King air 350 (N5m)?. There's a lady with a Global XRS $50m. A chap with two GIVs and a falcon 900. Another chap has a GIVSP (G450) and an S76 helicopter. Quite a number of Challenger 604/605 owners. Another chap has a Falcon 2000. One former governor had a Gulftream III, a G4 and two Do328 Jets. One famous retired general/oil block owner has a Challenger 605 and a Hawker 900XP.

Finally, I am familiat with Bishop Oyedepo's travel itinerary. It is impossible to accomplish with commercial airlines and will be more expensive if he chartered the aircraft. So it is actually cheaper and more convenient to own the aircraft
Please thank you for educating the ignorant goats with lego brains. Some people are so ignorant, it just beats the imagination.

A typical trip by a man of Bishop's status will go with a pastoral staff of at least 10 persons. He travels worldwide for preaching engagements.

Instead of paying between N300,000 to N1,000,000 in air fares travelling to sometimes three speaking engagements a week (AND THERE WILL BE FOOLS HERE WHO WILL SAY THAT THE AIR FARE IS TOO MUCH ASSUMING THE MEN OF GOD TRAVEL WITH COMMERCIAL ARILINES), the church decides to buy an aircraft to ferry them around.

- No Aero style delays. (my wife once had her flight delayed by Aero for 18 hours!)
- No sudden cancellations like Arik Air did and stranded all their international passengers.
- No poor services or aircraft where the ACs are not working properly.
- No coffins in the sky like Dana Air (where two pastors and their wives died because they flew on a stupidly decrepit plane).

My company once paid $12,000 an hour to Aero for a medical evacuation in Delta state. You think say that money na beans? Wouldn't such money be used to buy a small aircraft or a chopper that can be used for such purpose?

SO what is the joke? If a church can afford to buy an aircraft for its pastoral staff, WHY NOT?

trigar12: Is WINNERS CHAPEL a business organization?
Lego brain talking.

Why not tell your own organization to buy one for you? Nigerians are always jealous of success, and rather than study the model that produced the success and replicate it, they prefer to pull the successful person down to their level. By the time Winners Chapel buys 6 more aircraft, lego brains like you will keep quiet for good.

You should be happy that a church can own private jets without accessing the aviation fund that people like Jimoh Ibrahim took N35billion from, yet cannot maintain a national carrier. Of course, have you every heard that Winner's aircraft were grounded, or seized because they could not pay, or missed C checks because of lack of money?

Lego brain, you think they buy aircraft with lego bricks such as the one your brain is made of?
CultureRe: Why Is 'Nigger' Offensive? by stagger: 12:05pm On Sep 28, 2012
That word has its origins on the slave farms of the US, where African slaves were referred to as "niggers" by the slave masters and overseers.

So that is why it is seen as an obscene word because of its origins. That is why any white man who uses the word "nigger" on a black man, will be lucky to make it out alive if he uses it in certain places, especially the ghettos or rough streets. Not cool at all to be called nigger.

More exciting revelations have emerged that the penchant for private jets acquisition has cost wealthy Nigerians over N1 trillion in five years. The luxury trend actually rose by 650% between 2007 and 2012, this has increased the rate of private jet acquisition from 20 in 2007 to over 150 in 2012 which has placed Nigeria and china as the fastest growing private jets markets in the world.

Tithes are paid to where an individual worships. SO if Atuche is not a worshipper in those churches, then what he gave cannot be called tithes, but rather donations.

Having cleared this up, it is very wrong for an individual to use money made from illegal means to give to the church in any form, be it tithes, offerings, donations, etc. The truth is that even if the money is accepted by the church, it can never be accepted by God and there will always be repercussions.

NO INDIVIDUAL CAN BRIBE GOD, otherwise the rich will buy favours from God at the expense of the poor, which can never happen. Is Atuche enjoying his life now? Has the money he allegedly gave out to the 2 churches bailed him out of his predicament?
