Vergil: You must be out of your mind!loool!

So, u always spend N3200 on kfc sized chicken with fries, all the time in Nige? Hmm

When u can get a bigger lap, portion of chicken in Tantalizers or dem other take away for N800.

Nige pple hype this KFC shyt waaay too much. Only thing I see priced right and is cheaper than KFC in the UK/US is the cone ice cream they sell for N100. Asides that, the others are just waay too expensive, compared to the price in the UK/US.

Heeeeck! You'd fkin get a plate of Nige fav dishes...Pounded yam, sorts of rice for less that price and "belle full".

Repeat, KFC in Nige is some rubbish ostentatious BS, for Nige pple!!!!!

Oya o.. Lie!!!!
Where in my post did I say that I eat KFC ALL THE TIME (as in three times a day, seven days a week)? Some of you just hit your keyboard faster than your brains can reason.

hyelhira: How can you understand? You are a big boy/girl. Do you know that most families have monthly incomes of less than N50,000. I know many people (graduates) who earn less than N20,000 per month and they have families. Wake up. Nigeria is worse than you know.
Guy,

I bought my first car in 2000 on a salary of N48,000 a month. In addition to my government work, I learnt web design on my own. My first accommodation was self contained. I painted my first house because after paying the rent, I had no money for furniture or painting or anything. There have even been times when I went 24 hours on only water. I have sold stuff on the street at a point in my life. If you talk of poverty, I think I have had a taste of it.

I did not become a big boy overnight. If na hustle, I don do am well well. The problem is that many graduates are unwilling to get their hands dirty in order to get them clean. If you need to work on a site or do bus conductor work for N2,000 a day, I do not see what is the big deal in it.

I do not need to wake up; I woke up a long time ago. After I sold stuff on the street and in banking halls years back, I came to the realization that the problem we have is that Naija has too many lazy graduates who need to wake up. There is work everywhere if you put aside shame and self-consciousness. Part of what emboldens a bus conductor who talks to passengers with authority is that he knows he will never come to your house to beg ga..i (oops, I almost said the banned word) from you.

ehie: Being middle class in Nigeria isn't cheap. In a brightly lit KFC across the shopping centre, Taiwo Edun, an engineer, treated his girlfriend to crispy chicken and chips, a luxury beyond the reach of many at $20 (£13) a pop.
LOL is fried chicken and chips considered a treat by Nigerians?Junk

Nigeria is very crowded, traffic is terrible, fakes [wares] are everywhere. The only thing I'll buy from the market is fresh bulk vegetables, because there are no fake tomatoes," she added.
Why do Nigerians always badmouth Nigeria outside her shores.its like saying your mother is a lazy and ugly w.hre who doesn't cook
On point!

Honestly I do not understand it. How is N3,200 beyond the reach of many? I mean taking someone out in any fast food joint in Naija and ordering food for two comes to that amount, so what truly is the big deal?

Anyway I am not surprised. This is how the foreign media write nonsense about Nigeria. Yet I have many Israeli, European and Asian friends and acquaintances asking me about investment opportunities in Nigeria every week. If Naija was so bad, how come others are rushing to come in?
BusinessRe: Nigerians Flock To Buy UK Bargains by stagger: 3:43pm On Sep 11, 2012
Junk journalism at its ultimate worst. I have lived (not visited) in St.Germain in France and Sheffield in England with my wife. I do not see what is so special that someone will decide to go to UK to buy things and be complaining that fake goods have taken over Nigerian markets.

Where do these journalists get their info from? And how is Appiah a Nigerian name? huh huh huh

Sir Louis was the richest Nigerian in his time. Too much money.
PoliticsRe: Bianca's Lawyer Warns Ojukwus Over Properties by stagger: 5:19pm On Sep 10, 2012
Da infamous: that is being amended, igbo culture is moving with time...
SO it has been amended to the point where the wife of one of the heirs to the inheritance will decide who gets what when the first-born in that family is still around? I find that very amazing.

sanchez4eva: This is why Nigeria will never progress....we always attribute everytin to demonic attack...if u do your research u will find out that sleep paralysis is actually a protective mechanism initiated by the brain to prevent us from acting our dreams...like kicking our jumping out of bed...it occurs in the last stage of sleep known as REM or rapid eye movement sleep...Just stop being afraid because it is a normal process...it may occur often if you sleep on your back so start sleeping in your side and do not eat heavily before sleeping...Dr Okonjo
Total nonsense. I used to suffer it, always broke it by mentioning the name of Jesus, and after discovering how to deal with it through the bible, it has stopped for almost 20 years. Go and get wisdom about the things that control this world. You will be there preaching science until someone will remote you from your village, then you will know.

Pure demonic attack called the pressman.

Those who are schooled in spiritual things know about them, while those who are carnal men that know nothing about these things preach that they do not exist, without knowing that the spiritual controls the physical.

Anyway, I don't even blame the girl. I blame her mother. This is the stupidity we are seeing in our homes these days. How can a woman allow her daughter to leave the house and pour disgrace upon disgrace by not knowing how to cook?
FoodRe: My Fiancee Doesn't Know How To Cook by stagger: 4:51pm On Sep 10, 2012
There is no way any of my daughters will leave my house not knowing how to cook. Woman wants to marry and cannot cook? WTF! angry angry
FoodRe: My Fiancee Doesn't Know How To Cook by stagger: 4:47pm On Sep 10, 2012
Biggyd2: Is cooking by the woman the primary reason of entering this relationship? If yes, I guess the writer knows exactly what to do! If she has every other quality you want in a spouse except knowing how to cook and you think it is something you cannot cope with, then call it off. I hope you won't regret it though. Alternatively, you could teach her, get her to learn from a school or from relations or better still she can learn from you.
My friend, just as every house has a foundation, there are basics for every relationship. Women are the home makers, men are the breadwinners. Any home where this is not the case is going against the laws of nature and there will be innumerable problems.
FoodRe: My Fiancee Doesn't Know How To Cook by stagger: 4:45pm On Sep 10, 2012
obowunmi: Are you paralyzed? You can't cook.
Did you smoke ganja? A woman that wants to get married cannot cook? Then what was she doing all her years of growing up?

OP, kick that lazy thing out of your life. A woman is expected to know how to cook; that is the most basic skill that a woman must have. What sort of nonsense is that?
PoliticsRe: Bianca's Lawyer Warns Ojukwus Over Properties by stagger: 4:26pm On Sep 10, 2012
egift: Why can't they go get their own?
My friend stop talking rubbish. These are properties owned by the late Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu which were seized by the Federal Government after the civil war and only returned in the 90s. Professor Ojukwu is the first born in that family and it is simply unthinkable that the Ikemba would now usurp the authority of the first-born of that family to decide who would manage what.

There is a popular accounting firm that has been in trust of the late Sir Louis's properties. Bianca therefore has no right to determine how properties that belonged to her husband's father are shared, especially when he is not the firstborn.

I am not Igbo but I believe in Igbo culture, it is the firstborns who are given the right of inheritance in a family.

I ask again: which kain parole dis Dan guy go control for Ekosodin if im na civilian?

topsquino: dis guy was my classmate; a very gentle and friendly guy. I cant still fanthom d reason why some unscrupulous bastard will decide to take another persons life..RIP AFRO
Some of you seem not to know how families operate. In every family, there are those at the head, there are foot soldiers (the noisemakers that you see and obviously know that these are bush men), there are financiers, there are coordinators, there are those responsible for inter-campus affairs, etc.

Even if this Dan guy was outwardly quiet, do you know what his family position was?

Zoedicus, are you interested in the business or you just want to ask about the manual?
CrimeRe: UNIBEN Student: Daniel Ike Killed By Cultists by stagger: 6:32pm On Sep 09, 2012
In fact long and short of it is that the Dan Ike guy must either have been a member of a different fellowship or it was just plain mistaken identity.

Either way, assuming say im na Jew, which kain parole wey non-family member dey try control inside hot zone like Ekosodin? Abi im just wan prove say im fit waka for dat place and nothin' dey happen abi?

Nah! Dey guy na family member. Probably a birdman or Buka guy.

Dan1el: @stagger u are on point apart from no. 3. That stage is just serious beating. I stayed in Ekosodin for 5yrs. Since it was close range and after final year jean carnival. My guess is he has been tailed for a long time untill he entered their zone.
His friends might not know of his identity. Only few of them got the rugged look. Most of them are normal student, dress on corperate, attend bible and sunday service, read their books and attend lectures. When u hear of things they have done u will be shocked
@poster may his soul r.i.p. If he was innocently killed may those responsible be payed back with their own coin. Greatest Uniben!
True word.

No mind dat ezme guy wey dey talk like say all of us graduate from University of the Moon. We all know what happens in cult hits, especially final year hits that typically occur few days to graduation. A guy in my school was taken out after his convocation on his way home. His hitmen actually boarded the same bus with him.

If you find yourself in a hot zone, collateral damage is never ruled out.
CrimeRe: UNIBEN Student: Daniel Ike Killed By Cultists by stagger: 4:19pm On Sep 09, 2012
ezme: Please this very sensitive for most of us that know him in person. Try to keep your postulations to yourself.

I remember our last conversation when I was in Benin. You told me, you had submitted methodology to Prof. Aluyor. I told you all he needed to see was your commitment and you would get your A in your Thesis. I laughed when you complained about final year stress, I even promised you "flexing" next time I hit Benin.I never knew that would be our last conversation. cry cry cry

UNIBEN!!! when will this end?
What are you talking about? As if I did not graduate from a Nigerian university? Or I did not have friends and classmates who were killed by cultists? Tell us what your own postulates are outside of what I wrote.
CrimeRe: UNIBEN Student: Daniel Ike Killed By Cultists by stagger: 3:01pm On Sep 09, 2012
If you say he was killed by cultists, then either:

1) He was a cultist himself and was able to live a double life that you his friends did not know (I be modern day graduate so I am not talking what I do not know).

2) A case of mistaken identity.

3) He crossed someone in a cult (girlfriend, maybe sat in the guy's favourite spot, etc). SO more info will be appreciated.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is The Significance Of Praying Before Eating? by stagger: 2:58pm On Sep 09, 2012
Just to thank God for the food. Yesterday I was accosted at Asokoro by a young man like me, asking for money to eat. So you can imagine. On a good day, we may have been in each other's shoes.

I just returned from the village and it is amazing the level of poverty we have. There are people whose best meal is eaten when I am in the village, and it is a very sobering sight. Malnourished children everywhere. Really sad. cry
BusinessRe: Bank Loan by stagger: 2:54pm On Sep 09, 2012
The point of my post is this:

In Nigeria, there is way things are done, and if you are a true bilionaire businessman, you would be familiar with how the likes of Jimoh Ibrahim operate. You use your assets or cash collateral to create a larger than life image that can cause the knees of any bank CEO to wobble.

If for instance, I have N300million in a personal bank account and N1bn in assets, I can walk into any bank in Naija and secure the kind of loan you are asking. If you recollect, 5 banks provided Femi Otedola with the billions he used in expanding his holdings in AP and his shipping and oil interests.

It is not on Nairaland that such things happen. I am not a billionaire, but with what I have, banks come to my door in Abuja asking to do business with me and provide me with a lending relationship, which I have always turned down because I do not need loans.

At the moment, I am working on bringing a world class academic institution to Nigeria. They were the ones even asking me for the relationship. There is a way you will position yourself and these things will be coming to you, not you running to them.

You may feel I have nothing to offer you, but if you really know the kind of weight I can pull, you will be very surprised.

There are people who control things because of their money. Strip them of that money and they are nothing. There are others who control things including money, and can make things happen as a result of what they have upstairs. Strip them of money, they will create more of it in a short while.

I am sure you get my drift.
