There is no oil in Bakassi Peninsula landmass. The judgement of the ICJ gave the waters in the Tripartite continental shelf to Nigeria, and that is where the oil is. Why do you think the Nigerian government is not interested in pursuing the case?

We have the oil, Cameroun has the empty land mass. The ICJ judgement was about border readjustment between Nigeria and Cameroun, and the Bakassi Peninsula was only a part of it. A lot of land (and of course the oil-bearing waters) was given to Nigeria.

We need to be sure of the facts because 99% of the people posting here know NOTHING about the case. All Nigeria needs to do is to resettle the people displaced from the Bakassi landmass.

Well, whatever the reason, here are some facts:

1) Getting married at 19 is a big mistake. At 19, what does anyone know about life let alone getting into a thing like marriage that even some of us who have been in the business for some years now are still learning things everyday?

2) That a girl got pregnant and had a baby for a man does not mean she should marry him. Period. If it were me and the presence of a child will prevent her from getting another better man, I will adopt the child as mine. Simple.

PHCN just slapped me with a borehole bill of N150,000. This is after I mounted a separate meter for the borehole. I am to pay it before they reconnect me.

My electricity bill has also radically increased to N15,000. I am having a meeting with my entire household.

- Every bulb in my house is to be changed to light-saving bulbs.
- anytime my forgetful gateman allows the water to be running over from my borehole and I have to wake up by 3am to put it off, he will not be paid salary for that month.

I have just emerged from PHCN office shouting myself hoarse. This situation is completely untenable.
