Alkapino: NO BE BOKOHARAMS OO. Na them mumu xtians wan to burn themselvs.IMBECILIC PIG! |
This daddy Bliss again? Mr HIV cure? Why should it take 90 days to get pregnant when a one hour of serious bed work can do the magic? Ask my wife and she will tell you better. |
Curious_city: Guy, I support U most times, but on this one? No. A graduate can do any work s/he chooses. Most graduates even do manual jobs like masonry, carpentry. I even used my ND to work for 2yrs after my BSc(2-1). But for an employer of semi-skilled labor that does not require a degree to insist that a potential employee must be a graduate is a mockery of highest order. Which university does someone study 'Truck Driving' as a course? How does set skills obtained as a BSc/HND holder improve the duties of a truck driver?Tell a typical truck driver to interpret road signs for you and you will thank God we do not have more road casualties. |
Taiw: After seeing the Dangote graduate driver recruitment advert, I said to myself that this man must be silly for disrespecting unemployed graduates in Nigeria. I cant imagine a Bsc or Hnd holder as a truck driver. Well I can only blame our leader for making him run a monopoly market and not providing jobs for our youths. After 4-5yrs in school, you den become a truck driver. Dangote is crazy. Nigeria is decaying gradually.I think you and others voicing the same opinion as you are, should have their heads examined. A man has opted to drop the number of unemployed youths by giving them gainful employment. Yet some of you who have never paid a kobo to anyone as salary in your lives are talking babash. What defines the kind of job a graduate should have in today's economy where a country like Spain whose banks can afford to loan Real Madrid money to buy Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka have seen unemployment rise to 25%? There is dignity in labour, not in staying idle and I can tell you that there are many people who will take up that offer. How much do banks pay HND holders? N15,000 the last I checked. I am very sure that a truck driver with Dangote will earn MUCH MORE than this. And there will be opportunities to get exposed to the intricacies of the haulage part of the cement business, which will come in very handy if that same individual will be able to buy a truck to start haulage biz later in life. People should wake up and be realistic. I have met graduates who are bus conductors. I know a bus driver in PH who has only one leg, and rather than go begging like many people in his position, he has taken it upon himself to make himself useful to himself and his family. You are all witnesses to the unbelievable Kleptomania going on in GEJ's regime. I know many government agencies where people siphon off millions of Naira in out of pocket expenses. Go to a typical government agency in Abuja and see how much is spent on purchase of rice during Christmas season. Many of you commenting need to come and live and work in Abuja so you are exposed and see for yourself how money is stolen in this country on a daily basis. Some of you do not even know the story behind employment of coaches in NFF. Many of you do not even know how much contractors for some of these programs run by the Presidency collect. You probably do not even know how much money is spent on provision of snacks for meetings in government agencies. This is money that can be used to provide employment for Nigerian youths. Now someone has taken it upon himself to provide employment for graduates. Some of these graduates you even defend cannot even write a sentence in correct English. I interview many of them in my business weekly. You guys need to wake up. I for one do not like Dangote's monopolistic way of doing business, but I will salute him on this one. |
Going forward, it is always good to listen to the analysis of markets done on CNBC or Bloomberg. If you have some trading experience, you can actually pick out the key points of any fundamental trade a FULL WEEK before they play out. Which brings me to the next question: how many of us here actually study the Economic Calendar a full month in advance, using historical scenarios to predict price movements? Many of us only use it to check schedules. The calendar is more than just a schedule checker. It is a powerful tool that can make a lot of money for traders if used maximally. |
ayox2003: That's what BOM does when there is defined movement of the market. They know everyone would trade for a FALL.Use another trade type such as Touch/No Touch. Expect the Euro weakness to continue for a good number of days. A Touch strike of 1.2050 is very possible and it is these kinds of trades that you should trade, not the very predictable Rise/Fall. |
pappy2000: You need to subscribe to premium service of the bloomberg service for you to get the soul of the market.Bloomberg TV gives you less than 25% of the premium serviceYou do not need to subscribe to Bloomberg's premium news services to have interpreted the trade. All the news for the Euro this week was so bad that economists expected a rate cut again today. Rates were left unchanged and this caused the Euro to spike upwards. I knew it was shortlived and if you read my commentary, I clearly said that the focus of the commentary was EUROBOND PURCHASES BY THE ECB. Draghi did not talk about it and AS I CLEARLY SAID, THE EURO HAS TANKED as I said it would if the ECB did not clearly say it will buy Eurobonds. I know what I look out for when trading and do not just make comments for talking sake. |
Talebearers everywhere. Did they follow P-Square to the bank and calculate all the withdrawals and expenditure? Besides, can one equate the ove of a mother with money? |
Tune to Bloomberg TV to watch live broadcast of Mario Draghi's speech. The key element to watch out for is whether the ECB will purchase Eurobonds. There has been too much bad news for the Euro this week. If the ECB fails to deliver on Eurobond purchases, the Euro will tank. |
Maybe next time I am driving in Lagos, I will start carrying a teargas canister. |
ebamma: don't make the mistake of playing p-square's song oga police, when you are on lagos roads. You forgot to add Fela's "Zombie" when crossing an army checkpoint or gate of any of barracks. A CD seller recently paid a very high price for this. |
It is so sad that our amateur boxing has been allowed to degenerate to this level after the death of Group Captain Brai Ayonote. Time was when we used to field boxes in every weight division, and won 5 gold medals in the Auckland Commonwealth games in 1990. Now see where we are: fielding only TWO male boxers whose performances were at best, shocking. Shame on Nigeria! |
That governor is a bloody fool. This is what happens when people just sit down and do nothing, but allow brigands to steal them blind. |
SO that means a life ban for Vivian Chukwuemeka automatically. |
I have both. Laptop: not good if you are considering battery power. The netbooks floor the laptops hands down in this area. Ease of use: Laptops for me. Bigger keys, bigger screen, etc. I am gradually weaning myself off laptops and tending towards a netbook and tablet devices because I travel a lot and sometimes find myself in locations where portability and length of battery power are a big issue. So, make your choice. |
Billyonaire: The answer is simply in the economics text books. The law of demand and supply. So many people chose to go to UK for schooling, shopping, tourism etc. And since the government depends on taxation which is added to the rents and other products/services price regimes, the multiplier effect is what you feel daily in the UK, little wonder people living in UK almost always come home with little or nothing to show for it than a rented accent.Spot on. I don't even know why people go to the UK. Why don't they simply come to Abuja and live? The city is at least comparable to some of these major cities in the world and things work to a large extent in Abj. |
In my own case, the towel business was such an issue. When I was small, I would drop my wet towel on the bed, dress up, then take the towel out. When I got married, I found out that even allowing a wet towel on the bed became a big issue. Sometimes I like to just tie wrapper because I like air to get to my unmentionables once in a while. My wife just hates it. She prefers me wearing shorts and boxers to appreciate my legs. Then she has this habit of leaving the bathroom without properly drying her legs, leaving a trail of water that she most times, does not bother to clean. As a domestic safety freak, that drives me mad! I also don't like it when the last of the pot of soup is served and wait for it... no meat! And I am told that the meat finished because I took more than my allocated two pieces on day 1 of the soup. I recall the same thing with my mum years back so I sometimes forgive that one. I have of course, found a way to always make sure extra meat is available once the soup or stew is finishing so there are no stories. And then the hair net business. Why would a husband pay for his wife to look good, only for that pleasure to go to outsiders and he be left with hair nets all the time? I hate hair nets. I simply loathe them. After years of bitter complaints, my wife now allows me the viewing pleasure of her newly done hair for a few days, and then it is back to hair nets at night. Well ultimately, years of marriage have taught us to know how to navigate these things. At least I can now better educate my children on these things so they know what to expect and know how to handle them. |
I hope by the time the stock moves back up to $30 or even $50 in a few years from now, the OP will come back to tell us how many billions Zuckerberg has made. |
Which one be Beijing vs London? For me, Atlanta 96 was the best I have ever watched of all the opening ceremonies I have watched from Los Angeles 84 which was hosted on NTA by Fabio 'Lanipekun till date. I know there are some others here who watched Montreal 76 and Moscow 80. So let us make a good comparison as far back as we can. For me yesterday's ceremony had nothing spectacular and I was highly disappointed. |
Money cannot buy love, but once you have acquired the love for free, you need money to sustain it. I do not know why you are in that relationship. Focus on getting your financial situation sorted out first. You cannot put all your energy into a relationship and at the same time be able to think straight enough to get work or create work for yourself. GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT. |
THis girl na real idio.t. |
saniby: @staggerUnfortunately the only time I ever met GEJ one on one was in 2006 at a cocktail party to welcome him as new Governor of Bayelsa. I no longer have that access and I am not an agric expert, so I may not be able to help with that. However, the best bet is to search for agencies that award foreign grants. I am currently searching for one to sponsor my proposed biodiesel production plant. |
saniby: I observed animals not eating the cob as is. At least sheep doesnt. Pls which animal have you tested this formula on.I have seen goats eating the stuff. I also believe it has some fuel generating properties; at least when you leave it overnight in a stuffy hot room, you can perceive the odour of fermentation. The problem is getting money to do research into this area. What is the Ministry of Agriculture doing in this regard apart from telling us that even GEJ eats cassava bread and talking about banning rice importation? |
God bless you if you buy wet charcoal. You will blow and blow until you will almost blow your eyes out. And the swinging motion? Something else. Then imagine doing all that work and then getting your clothes burnt by the damn thing. Not cool. |
It is still being used in many parts of Nasarawa state, especially in Masaka. That I know for sure. |
afam4eva: So, where's Dangote??Davido's father is a billionaire. His uncle is Senator Isiaka Adeleke, former Osun state governor. You should know that Dangote is there as a mark of solidarity to Davido's father and uncle. Anyway, you are probably not a businessman, otherwise you will know how these things operate. So your ignorant comments can be forgiven. |
Alpha2k: It is disturbing to see maize being sold for about N50 when the cost of producing a standard cob of fresh maize on the farm is N6.Have you factored in the cost of transportation across our horrendous roads from the interior farms where corn is produced in large quantities to the city where you eat it? Considering that it has passed through at least 4 hands in the channel of distribution before it gets to you? The real cost goes into transport. If we had functional rail lines, such farm produce should be transported by rail and not by road. This is where your government needs to step up its game, not engaging in propaganda like "GEJ eats cassava bread". Meaning what? |
Learnt someone else was arrested with a cache of arms in a routine traffic stop. A Maine man was arrested when he told authorities that he was on his way to shoot a former employer a day after watching "The Dark Knight Rises," Maine state police said Monday. Timothy Courtois of Biddeford, Maine, had been stopped for speeding, and a police search of his car found an AK-47 assault weapon, four handguns, ammunition and news clippings about the mass shooting that left 12 people dead early Friday, authorities said. Former graduate student James Holmes, 24, is accused of opening fire in a theater in a Denver suburb. The shooting also injured 58 people. Courtois said he had attended the Batman movie on Saturday, although police have not confirmed whether he actually saw the film. "I guess we're taking everything at face value," State Police Lt. Kevin Donovan said. "It's very scary." Police searched Courtois' home later Sunday and found a machine gun, several other guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition. "We don't know what his true intentions were," said Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety. "Based on the arsenal that was confiscated, we brought in our counterparts from the FBI and ATF to assist with the investigation." Courtois was charged with speeding and possession of a concealed weapon. http://news.yahoo.com/3-arrested-separate-dark-knight-incidents-080930278.html

We as Nigerians need to stop this unbridled stupidity we are displaying here. Everyone knows that fake yellow fever cards are sold at MMIA for a fee. Nigeria had the largest yellow fever epidemic in 1986. I remember being vaccinated along with everyone in my school then. The Ghanaian authorities are being proactive. I know a relation who got one of those fake yellow fever papers in MMIA. On arrival in Ghana, she was forced to have the true vaccination. At the end of the day, which is better? Carrying a paper when indeed you are not protected in case an epidemic hits without warning, or being vaccinated and being sure you have a 10 year protection? We should stop deceiving ourselves and do the right thing for once. I am Nigerian, but I have to say that some of our attitudes need to change radically. Why would someone prefer to buy fake yellow cards instead of going to a health facility and getting the vaccine for free? WHY ARE WE SO STUPID AT TIMES? |
Gogo Ombo starred in some of the early movies on NTA PH in the late 1970s and early 80s. I actually watched some of them then. Also starred in Mirror In the Sun (1984) when his character poisoned Lare Williams one episode, tried again only to get drugged himself when Lare Williams switched the teacup in the kitchen. He also acted lately in Super Story. He has been around. One of the true seasoned actors. RIP |
Delafruita: i dont attend churchSo why are you here? The topic is: why do you attend church? So what are you doing here? |
killuminati: so....hw far? Don't tell me u haven't know the truth yet, or are you just ignoring it?After years of living, believing and admiring communist philosophies (plenty of books written by Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Kim Il-Sung and Kim-Jong Il still dey my papa house), did I take special permission from you to become a Christian and start attending my present church? What truth are you talking about? |
