2011/07/24 22:30:00: Gold blasts through stops to hit all time highs near $1615.00, Meanwhile the gaps are getting filled up nicely. ![]() |
Sounds more like the mercantilist views of the Renaissance to the late Classical period in Europe, where someone wrote in a British journal in 1849: "be wary of buying from strangers more than we sell to them, lest we impoverish ourselves and enrich them instead" Sadly, some economies like Japan and China still practice such stuff Why Nigeria is stupidly trying to follow suit with all the import prohibitions without being able to produce anything for export simply beats the imagination. ![]() |
"EUR/USD shooting over the 1.4400 level as news breaks that there will be no deal today out of Washington D.C, " I am getting it live from my trading platform. I believe it is coming from Reuters. |
Boehner states that there will be "no deal today, " for debt ceiling. |
stagger:Somehow I just knew it would happen. The USD took too much of a beating on Thursday for this not to occur. Now it is time to fill the gap. |
MY USDCHF SHORT FOR FRIDAY HAS GAPPED 76 PIPS! MIT YABADABADOOOOOOOOO! ![]() |
JAkpayen:Guy, which crystal ball you dey read? What informs your trade call? |
EEspeed:Guy, why not contribute something here? If you notice, this thread is not a "signals" thread. Contribute and others will also contribute. That way you learn. |
It will be impossible to arrive at any deal before tomorrow. The Republicans want social security and Medicaid cuts as a way of cutting the deficit (expenditure-based solution), while President Obama and the Democrats want an income-based solution by raising taxes. First an agreement on which side of the coin will be followed. Then the modalities for any solution have to be worked out before any kind of deal is made public. How is this going to happen in the next 9 hours before the markets open again? |
If that is the case, that means there will be plenty of opportunities this week on USD pairs, crude oil and gold. Let's wait and see. |
honeric01:Can you post the link to the news source let me digest it myself? |
I left a trade short on USDCHF in expectation of a gap with a very tight stop of 10 pips. If it gaps in my direction, fine. If it gaps against me, I will simply trade to fill the gap. If no gap at all, I can always cover the 10 pips loss. |
Once climbed the toilet bowl in my hostel by 6am to drop the previous day's food garbage, only to notice two giant rats in the bowl (which was already overflowing with faeces) rolling and frolicking in the mess. (pukes) Were they having sex with excreta as their jacuzzi? I really wonder. Men, I still remember it like yesterday. I tried to escape but I was too pressed. I discharged on top of the startled rats and ran out instanta. Subsequently, I learnt to hold the stuff until after the cleaners had done their work (usually by 10am) before attempting their use. May God bless those cleaners and their families. They really tried for us those days. |
Blog icon:why not check Ava or Finotec, or open a CFD ac with Alpari? |
Considering the price action of the last two days, is there likely going to be a weekend gap, and to which direction? |
blackgucci:Seriously? When all the fundamentals are pointing upwards? Hope you just scalp a few pips off the profit taking before you are caught out! |
what did our leaders do to us? |
I am done for the day. Till Monday. |
(RTTNews) - The euro fought back from early losses on Thursday, despite a warning from a key official that a new bailout for Greece does not rule out the possibility of selective defaults. Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, who heads up a group of euro-zone finance ministers, made the comments hours after France and Germany agreed to present a united front on terms of the Greek bailout. However, the euro currency and European banks strengthened amid indications that a final draft of the plan has been circulating and does not include a proposed tax on private lenders to help fund the bailout. Reports suggested the European Central Bank has agreed to accept collateral from Greece after weeks of insisting it would not. |
Ok people, listen up. "The euro is rallying strongly after details of the second Greek bailout seep out. EFSF bailout may be able to buy bonds in the secondary market, this is the type of action the markets want to see. EURUSD touches 1.4300 - the first time since 8 July" Got this from my Reuters news wire just now. And the chart setup just made it sweeter.

EzeUche:Right on point. Best of them to join is the Nigerian Airforce. Followed by Navy. Army is the worst. And kiss ass all the way, especially if your CO is an influential man. |
Probably best to stay off the Euro until after the meeting of Euro finance ministers today. |
not for me. |
naijababe:The mark of a trader who will last long. |
Used my Payoneer Mastercard on GTB's ATM, and I was paid at the rate of N148 per $. I was so peeved. Nigerian banks are a bunch of robbers. ![]() |
I have a document with some charts on it. I will show it to you via email. Hit me up at dankrabb at gmail dot com. |
Was this not pretty much a symmetrical triangle that was surely going to break out either upwards or downwards for the NZDUSD? I prefer grabbing a bird in hand wey I dey see than waiting for 10 in the bush which may never come, which is why I always urge people to use what works for them.

macjive01:If you have a friend in any of the intelligence agencies, ask that person to tell you how much governors receive as security vote, which by the existing laws, they get to spend AT THEIR DISCRETION, OUTSIDE THE BUDGET. Then you will have cause to marvel at how wicked state governors cannot do even the simple basics for their people, but prefer to channel the security votes into their personal pockets. |
