You might ask what about the cattle rearers, the problem is as old as Nigeria which requires a strategic approach in curbing. Minn you, your Almighty West which are Christians created the perpetrators of terror act around the world. Do some research. What's the difference between Boko Haram and Sharia? Webmasters › Why Support Internet Explorer 6-8 & Very Old Browsers When Designing A Site? by Standing5(op): 9:14pm On Aug 03, 2016 |
Is it okay to not support Internet Explorer 6-8 and other legacy browser versions when designing a site? I asked this as it makes project completion time for websites very long. It also forces the developer to juggle multiple targets in a single responsive design. Most themes we see in ThemeForest and co are built by team of developers and therefore are easily able to get there design to be all-round responsive. I like to hear the opinion of NairaLanders. |

bejeiodus: You are an acute observer of the political scene. But I don't think Serubawon stands a chance in 2018. He is from Ede which is in the same senatorial zone as Ilesha— where Aregbesola comes from. I think power will switch elsewhere. I am not too sure though. I only schooled in Osun--state, so my political calculations could be wrong. Besides, I think Lasun's age and religion give him an advantage. He is young, urbane, and well read. Adeleke is an old man and should remain in the Senate where old politicians like him spend their retirement. You didn't factor the governor's 'prerogative' to choose his successor in your permutations. Why?
As regards the role of money in our politics, it is an art that won't go away soon as long as politics remains a thriving business. Thought Aregbe is from Iwo. |

porka: Eyahhhhhhh!
You don't even know the argument before making a comment.
You should just have asked for a clue for the 'puzzle' or simply quote the data you suggested by yourself to bust the 'argument'.
Ore, you are smarter than that, there's nothing to quote in what you mentioned. Non-oil producing states are not entitled to 13% derivation, or are they?
Emphasis is on the bold part, 13% derivation. It doesn't correlate with the statement of Fowler. If only 30% is from oil revenue as he claimed, those oil producing states won't have such enormous share for 13% derivation. Do you get the 'argument' now?
Good!
Oya, come and contradict the argument with this Kano data then.
Kano Total allocation - N10.776bn Statutory allocation - N2.44bn Excess crude - N2.7bn Statutory allocation for 44 LGS - N2.669bn Excess crude for 44 LGS - N2.959bn
If you need more states' data 'come and collect'.

porka: Too much confusion, wishful thinking and opaqueness:
1) Udo Udoma/Kemi Adeosun -.'We are looking beyond oil revenue' , 'the future we are building is zero oil based'
Yet;
Buhari - spent $340m (N27bn) searching for crude oil in the Sahara desert.
2) Fowler - '70% of revenue (FAAC) shared in July comes from non-oil (tax) sources.
Yet; FAAC - Rivers State Total July allocation - N25,883bn 13 per cent derivation - N10.138bn Excess crude - N12.803bn Statutory allocation - N1.39bn Delta State Total allocation - N18.622bn 13 per cent derivation - N6.977bn Excess crude - N8.734bn Statutory allocation for LGs - N1.379bn Excess crude distribution for LGs - N1.531bn You quoted the figure of oil producing states man. Give up that of non-oil producing states and let's see if it doesn't contradict your arguement. Your data may be real but isn't relevant to your points. |

Can't any Adviser or Minister disagree with the President, if need be resign on Principle? May God Bless our country, Nigeria!! The bold is easily confirmed by the attitude of majority of posters in this Forum and beyond. Western aid officials have also raised concerns about the Nigerian government’s handling of the crisis, with accusations that President Muhammadu Buhari, the country’s Muslim president, is not doing enough to confront the threat posed by Boko Haram’s Islamist militants.
Britain’s Department for International Development contributes an estimated £870 million to Nigeria to support the government’s ability to fight Boko Haram, which has been responsible for a number of terrorist outrages, including the kidnapping of hundreds of Nigerian schoolgirls.
But Western officials are worried that Mr Buhari is using some of the aid to persecute Christian political rivals instead of tackling Islamist militants. How on earth did Buhari or this admin use £870m BH(anti-terrorist) aid fund to prosecute the opposition? I sense PDP desperation all over this piece. That amount isn't something Buhari admin can't afford, so why use donated funds? I sense PDP's desperate attempt to draw a comparison to their own undeniable 'use' of part of the $2.1B donated arms fund under them to prosecute Buhari and Tinubu(Oppositions). It won't work. Let the accusser here give evidence of anti-terrorist fund diversion or forever remain silent. |

To expand the size of the fund. While making profit from these cities, you can then use the same of the returns to take care of lesser cities and states Please could you explain the bold part in details? |

A government that has no headway
A sycophantic government
A government of ZOMBIES by ZOMBIES and for ZOMBIES Who told you that? The FG under Buhari can pay salary has been paying it promptly. If any silly state governor can't pay, then single out the governor(s) and stop directing your fustration towards a performing FG. When these governor were borrowing your future salary to do cocoa yam meal infrastructure nobody complained. @topic, nice idea there. Most of the capital and factor of production are within Nigeria and that means a project like this will help recycle wealth within the economy instead of shrinking it while on another hand it will also solve housing problems. |
