asalimpo: Your lecturer is an a@$$hole. S/he needs to be sacked. Or flogged. Anyway, I can help but I program in java. It's more complex than u think, the main issue is in creating a smooth nd beautiful design. So I'll give some tips: 1.) create a timeBlock object Don't worry what timeBlock means,it's just a conceptual object representing a collection of courses. So a semester system will contain two timeBlock per session and trimester system would contain 3 timeBlock per session. Also if carry overs are done in the same calendar year, then it would go into the session object.
2.) Abstract the calculative functionalities into an interface. Many objects will share this traits. E.g a timeblock- and timeBlock container -session,programme all perform similar actions like: compute GPA,compute cgpa, compute credit hours, etc. All these objects will implement these functions from the interface. Etc. The reason for all these abstractions is so that in d future, your code base can b adapted to any school system with very little modification. It can easily get robust. I am assuming that u are using the object oriented paradigm. The right data structure for the internals of the timeBlock should be a dynamic one. That grows nd shrinks as necessary. Arrays will waste memory. A hash map or set will do. Good luck. Someone don't know how to write simple instructions, you're talking about abstraction. hian. And also Fortran is still favoured among scientists today because of it heavy computing library. Before any arguments, it is used heavily by weather forceast station and some air travelling company. Its last updated compiler is 2018 also. |

Kvngfrosh: Hey pls help me o i want to study computer science in a university (unilorin) and my dad and other people advised me not to study it that i can study it in a cafe or a computer institute but from what i have about the course i really love it can someone explain to me why they said so? Sorry to say. Your father is ignorant of what is called computer science. Let me shock you, computer science isn't actually related to anything with operating computer. There are many computing scientists that don't know how to use computer software very well. The name till today is considered by many professional in the field as wrong terminology. The actual name should be computing science or Datalogy. Computing science is the Science that deals with computation(compiling, storage, analysis, securing, transfer, manipulations and retrieval) of data. So get yourself and Daddy informed of computing science. A cafe boy don't do any of the above in a professional way. Tell your dad that None of Microsoft's engineers and scientist learnt in the cafe. A cafe boy infact is just a user of the product of a computing scientists, so do you also want to be a user or a creator? Computer machines you see today is the born out handiwork and theory of what computing scientists and engineers has developed, cafe boys aren't invited. So the job of a computing scientist is to provide ways of how to automate humans computing problems by creating programs and algorithms(set of instructions) to a computer thereby automating solutions to our everyday problems and this is what a cafe boy will later use. This means a cafe boy simply lack the deep knowledge of why a computer behaves the way it does all he knows is just how to use the conputer software very well to run his cafe business. The knowledge takes about four to five years of thorough guidance from professionals in your university. Note also that computing rely heavily on mathematics, infact computing was born out of mathematics. This are things you could do after studying computing science 1. Programming 2. Graphics/motion 3. Cryptography 4. Theoretical computing science 5. Artificial intelligence 6. software development 7. system engineering and many more infact we have medical computing and many more. |

Lush100: . Been Carson story in the US. Might need modification.when applied in Nigeria. I am not saying the principle is wrong or faulty . I am saying in applying it, u should adjust it with the factors in Nigeria so u have the desired output. That principle what I did when I was working is I buy cheap clothes and the really durable/costly one. For example. I needed 5 office shirts when I was in banking. I bought 2 very good shirts at a high price and 4 cheap. 2 suits. One cheap one costly. And I know which days of the week I wear them. Days we have morning meeting when we all gather, I wear the good/costly item. Other days I wear the cheap. I eat very cheap food at mamaput Monday to Thursday.(total cost of 100 naira) But on Friday only, back then in abeokuta, I buy fried rice chicken at sweet sensation. I saved over 75% of my salary back then. Started or tried my hands on many businesses. Lots of them messed up. Few worked so well. Gained experience and still saved a lot. Helping me now Hmm different strokes I guess. Some clothes I bought where least 3k but guess what I hardly buy new clothes because when you have original clothes that don't wash easily, you will enjoy it, I have to dash out some because it is too old and maybe short. When I bought a jean at a store for about 6k since I was referred by a friend that is was original Us stock jean and another second hand london used 4k, it looked stupid, 10k for two jeans but bro I still rock those jean till today and their color seem to ve getting brighter. The lesson is not to live expensive life but to buy long lasting things, learn long lasting skills, it's all rounder. Although cheap things come handy when it is just for use and dispose. I agree with that part. Although there is no manual to live life, different situations and ideologies to pick from. peace. |

kaymart: So, what's ur point? Are u for or against who you quoted... I just want to learn...I want to know ur stance. Pls, share with me ur insight. Thanks!!! I mean I use to think that not spending money means you were gonna be rich. But then some time in my life I read Ben carson gifted hands when he mentioned how his mum told them of how rich men buys and long lasting quality clothes because they can't afford to continue buying cheaper cloths that don't last. This gave me a reflection of how money spent well is better than money being saved, all in the name that we don't have. infact it is when you don't have you have to start buying long lasting asset. A change in mindset lead to changes in all ramifications for me, now I make sure I buy quality phones, clothes, and books generally. Good thing is, it has saved me from a lot of spending. People get shocked wen I try to buy e.g my slippers and shoes even as far as amazon or even earpiece directly from Apple store but truth is most of my electronics and things last very long, although I buy Nigerian things alot especially when the quality is ok. Infact my 8k apple earpiece is 14 month right now. And some of my shoes are 3+ years right now. I feel like I know how to become and leave rich. I plan to invest in quality in my talent as I have been doing and fact is I am becoming more productive with time. Quality is Quality, being rich is a mindset. I have start applying this principle in many things I do and now I can say I am living a more comfortable and less expensive live. Buy big assest isn't the idea, buying last longing and useful asset is the key to saving. Poverty mentality makes people shoot themselves when they opt for cheaper product they know they would need for a long time, or buy bad products that the overhead maintainance and replacement would cause more in the long run. This is my story. |

Hotfreezers: Poverty mentality.
I bought my first car earning 70k and made the money back in 3 months. With a car, I move more, achieve more and bill clients more.
Not everyone is cut out for suffer head. Poverty mentality is greatest weapon against poor people because they keep shooting themselve in the foot, I thank God for education and for sense. Some years back I was always thinking like this. But when you calm down and think and calculate properly, the big picture just flash right in your eyes. |

RealGOAT: If the house is close to your work place go for it. If you decide to go for a house of 100k and it's far to your workplace, you will spend almost the same extra 100k on transportation alone. Also consider your health and due to the stress of transporting to and fro from a long distance. When I was a bachelor and about getting married, I rented a 2bd flat for 120k, no borehole water and electricity is a big problem, sometimes 4 hours in a day. There is another area in the same city where a 2bd flat is 220-250k a year. Electricity is better bcus they normally get 15- 20 hrs of electricity a day with borehole water. The proximity to work place is difference of 20mins drive. To cut the long story short, after spending 4 yrs in my 120k flat then married with a kid, I discovered that the amount I spend on fueling my gen to inorder to keep my foods preserved on my freezer fresh and also the amount I spent on water for my tank yearly was 30k above 220k. So check well before deciding. So much sense in your post. What differentiate you from some greedy people is that at the end you where analytic, considerate and sensitive to the bigger picture. |

One month salary bigger than your 1year rent
Hmm. U dey mean o. And you have a smart move but have it in mind that sometimes getting a personal house might be a liability. Its always an asset no doubt but without the right setup and money e fit no favour u o.
I am saying this because i know someone who suffered himself did this same method just like you just because he was fantasicing a getting a beautiful house. He went through all that stress and got the house.
2 years later unfortunately lost his job and and had to sell that house.
@princeking2 Sometimes rent is not such a bad thing. No be must to be landlord attimes. Having cash and a steady source of income is the shit. So that even when you finally get a house you have nothing to worry about Living in apartment not yours isn't always a bad thing like you also pointed out, being an assest to the society and company is the main thing. Although I encourage owning our own house when it is necessary, so that our old age would be comfortable but it shouldn't be hurry hurry thing. |

She is staying with her mother, her mother wants the child but the problem is that the girl and the child may not be able to live together since the mother can be a danger to the child. Who will move out, mother or child? The mother has no place out side but the child has. Why would you keep a pregnancy to full term when you know the child will end up in foster care? Stop trying to build mountains from moll hils, you simply lack the correct info of the situation, the story you painted up there is just for the trash. The Judge I believe should have a better explanation for making his decision. |

write a pascal program to calculate the CGPA for HND program. the program should accept grades for courses in each semester, print the CGPA for HND I, repeat the process for HND II and display the CGPA for HND program and determine whether it is distinction, upper credit, low or pass level. Have you gotten a solution already?? If not, just make use of array to hold list of grades, then use a loop to collect each input. finally, use loop to go over the array, add up, make your division of the sum and use if to output class and GP. |

Olamsoh: This is an eye-opener for us all! Please DO NOT collect money from any passenger when you enter a bus to be passed to the driver or conductor. Something bizarre happened yesterday at around 6:40pm and it's a great lesson for everyone.
This lady is shaking seriously for she witnessed a strange incident some minutes ago. She boarded a bus from her office to drop at Ikotun yesterday evening and unfortunately the bus had no conductor so one woman -
One of them (passengers) decided to play the good Samaritan by helping the driver to collect the transport fare from passengers. Everyone co-operated and paid except one old man like that. Eventually he brought out his N50 and gave the woman to give the driver. Immediately this woman collected the money, she started shaking like someone that had been hit with 'warapa'. The shaking got so bad that the driver had to park and everyone started shouting at the old man to undo whatever he had done to the innocent woman.
After all it was after she collected the money from him that she began shaking. The old man now said they should let him rub the woman's breast so that the shaking can stop. Well everyone was sceptical about allowing the old man to touch the woman again, but they had no choice. Your story lack proper reference, no video to back up. We don't believe and please don't try convince us. |
