Good runout from the boys. Need some more conditioning though, and the defence could do better. Those will come as the season goes on I believe. P.S. Montrezl Harrell hit three mid range jumpers tonight . That's right, 3. If he adds that to his game then he's going to be deadly. |

birdman: I watched part of tonights game and it looks the same. Other than Holiday, im not sure who else they added. But Holiday is active on defense and is legit threat on offense. The defense is much better.
Again I can see Giannis has put some work in. On the double and triple teams, he has more composure. Either he finds the right teamates, or takes a high pct shot instead of just running at the basket. He isnt smooth at it yet, but I bet its just early season cobwebs.
Even scarier I see him attempting some back to the basket footwork. I don't expect him to become Olajuwon in one year, but this could really open up the lanes for his teamates if he gets half good at it. It would also separate him from the marcus smarts of the nba that try to confuse him in the paint.
Still early though, but I like what see. Or maybe Im a Giannis fan and I see too much into 2 games They lost Eric Bledsoe and added Holiday. To me that's a like for like on defence. So I don't really know if they improved on that end. |

birdman: Bucks are much better on defense this year, and I see Giannis is much better at reading those double teams, even though Smart owned him early on. If not for that bank shot 3 from Tatum, the bucks would have won that game in what would have been described as a gutsy comeback win.
Too early in the season, but I see Giannis put in some work in the off-season How though? Based on what you've seen so far (it's only two games) or based on the additions they made? |

Losing to the Clippers on opening night is actually the most fun thing there can ever be. The way Clippers fans and Lakers haters are all over Twitter gloating is just a fun sight. Skip Bayless has tweeted no less than 20 times already. Talmbout how PG is back and how the Clippers are better. Man, they never learn. We should do this again next year |

So, the NBA resumes today, and the Lakers play the Clippers. We know how it'll go already: the Clippers will defeat the Lakers and the entire media/haters will crown them title favourite over the Lakers while questioning the career of LeBron James for having a below par performance. They'll question the mentality of AD as well, and they would wonder if the Lakers could have beaten the Clippers in the playoffs last year if they met. |

I think I like the Harden-Simmons Trade. It would be better for both teams. I love me some point guard/big man combo. That should put Philly in contention to come out of the East. And for Houston, I like Wall at PG and Simmons at PF, Cousins at C. If they can all stay health that's a top 4 seed in the west. |

Giannis signing an extension basically ends any false belief of him going to Golden State. Not just for this season, but for the next 3-4 years, as long as Klay and Steph remain on that team. Because there's no way you can have 3 players on a team earning 40m annually. No way. The only way we can see Giannis in GS is if one of them opt out of their contract and re-sign for less, which is unlikely to happen. So, Giannis to GS is ended for real. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 10:25am On Dec 16, 2020 |
I just realised that everyone who left the Lakers went to the east. Bradley to Heat, Rondo to Hawks, JaVale to Cavs, Dwight and Green to Philly. Everyone running far away from where LeBron is They've experienced his dominance firsthand so they know better |

Thanos: El Matador, halle-luka,luka magic. Do i need to say more. No player is touching my boy this season. If you are a betting man. Might as well place your bet on Luka for MVP. He could win MVP no doubt, but he needs another alpha to have a genuine shot. Porzingis wouldn't cut it |

Thanos: i'm telling you. The way he was finding cutters on almost every play. He brings a totally different skillset and is definitely an upgrade to both mcgee and howard. There are only two teams that can stand in the way of the lakers this season. Mavs in the west and the nets in the east(thinging on kyrie not having one of his episodes again and being a good boy). I wonder where all these high hopes on the Mavs suddenly emanated from . Or did they sign someone I'm not aware of? |

Gasol would be massive for this team. Look at how easily he finds players cutting to the basket. Being on the court alone would get him much attention.
And Horton-Tucker, ooof! What can I say? If he continues on this trajectory then we have a player on our hands. When was the last time the Lakers turned a low draft pick into something special? |

KNIGHTBlaed: Na wa for Bron o. How him go say this na the toughest ring him don win na. Even if some of us knew before the season started that Lakers will emerge champions, but for baba to say it was the toughest, e no gel na. Him sha wan glorify the ring, but for where? Comma still dey. Then again una Laker boys, E don do na, we know say una don win, e don do, the new season is almost upon us, make una allow us concentrate na. Congratulations to you guys, una ring na una own, we no collect am. lol. @steady, I watch the game yesterday and that Horton-Tucker kid is legit. I thougt he was someone with experience until I checked him out today and saw he is only 20. The guy na baller and his confidence is something to really commend. Trez too was massive last night, I still believe Clippers bleeped up letting him go to the Lakers, he'll deffo be huge for you guys. Without Bron, this team goes nowhere, lets hope baba stays healthy all season, but I doubt it sha. From what I saw last night, Clippers will struggle without Kawhi and PG, even with them, they will struggle this season. Ibaka didn't play much last night but he is a solid addition with the little we saw. I sha don port. Did anyone watch the Blazers game? That team will cause problems this season, they just have to stay healthy. If people can beat their chest and call the ring a Micky mouse ring, then LeBron is beating his chest and calling it the toughest ring of all time. It's called "do me, I do you, man no go vex." Yea, Horton-Tucker is a legit NBA player. Can handle the ball, can drive to the rim, decent shooter, got a mad wingspan for his size, and is strong as hell. Of course there's still some polishing to do but we can see the talent is there. Should play an important role this year.
