Imagine stat-padding when your team is 15 points down, a time when your points are most needed. There's nothing I won't hear on this thread cheesy So what will it be called when your team is 20 points up?

Rob Parker when LeBron got to L.A: "he's done winning championships. He's in L.A to make movies. He's a 6'8" version of Kevin Hart."

Rob Parker when LeBron won the championship with L.A: "I always thought he was gonna win at some point no matter where he is, because his talent was that way."

Clown. Typical LeBron hater grin

I wonder why one is 6-0 and the other 4-6.
I did some research. Thank goodness for basketball reference. In all of MJ's finals, he never faced a player who averaged 30 points in the finals. He faced a 25ppg player only twice (Barkley 27.3 and Malone 25.0). And of course, he never faced two 25ppg players on the same team.

Meanwhile, in LeBron's ten finals, he's faced a 30ppg player twice (KD in OKC and KD in GS). He's faced nine 25+ppg players (KD trice, Curry trice, Westbrook, Dirk and Butler). And he's faced two 25+ppg players on the same team three times (KD & Curry twice, and KD & Westbrook).

MJ played in a finals against a team which the second best player averaged 10.7 points (Hornacek in 1998). The best second highest scorer he's faced averaged 18.6 (Magic).

The worst 2nd second highest scorer LeBron ever faced is Bam Adebayo (15.3), with the injury. The best second highest scorer LeBron has faced averaged 27.0 ppg (Westbrook and Curry).

I need him to be the Clippers head coach. Can you imagine this man rejecting a 3-year deal when we were doing him a favour. He should know that he has a championship only because of LeBron.

In one breath, Iguodala is not crucial. In another breath, Lebron has high efficiency and buckets because there are no competent centers to block him like it was in the eighties and nineties.

I'll love nothing more but he'll probably opt out for money the Lakers can't possibly offer him.

If only LeGM can pull this off. You know he's already on the case. Man saw the kid cooking the Lakers and immediately called him aside once the series was over. cheesy
He shouldn't feel he's arrived all of a sudden though. He still averaged fewer points in the playoffs than he did in the regular season.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 1:32pm On Oct 16, 2020
Jerami Grant has a player option for $9.3m for next season with Denver. Come to the Lakers boy, where you're sure to win trophies. We'll guarantee you $30m for three years. LeBron, do your thing.

First he claimed the Rockets didn't miss 27 straight threes, then when he realised he was wrong he tried to use English to confuse us. Lol. grin

And I love how we've gotten him to talk favourably about LeBron in an argument cheesy

Nope. U saying I cant find 10 other PGs in the league that can score better than Rondo and get just as many offensive rebounds?
But Rondo's offense is not about scoring and offensive rebounds. Rondo can have a good game of basketball while scoring zero points. How many players in the league can coordinate an offense the way he does? They call him the floor general, and there are only a handful of point guards in the history of the league that have that title: CP3, Magic, Nash, Stockton. Even Steph Curry isn't a floor general.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 10:50pm On Oct 15, 2020
Lol. Baba said LeBron's FG% are better now in his later years because he's shooting less threes grin Once again he failed to check the stats before misinforming us.

And imagine him bringing Nick Wright's tweet from 2010, when LeBron had not achieved anything in his career. In fact for Nick to say KD was better than LeBron then proves that he's a very honest analyst.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:38pm On Oct 15, 2020
WeissVonner:
Speaking of Nick Wright, say what you want about him. He may be a radical Bron apologist, but that man is the only analyst who actually tries to analyze the game and doesn't only resort to hyperbole and bait.

Did you see his take on "What the media doesn't want you to know about MJ?". Absolute masterpiece. Really further exposed the MJ mob for their blatant hypocrisy and shameless double standards.
I saw it. Was brilliant.

Nick is a brilliant analyst, it's clear. Only LeBron haters hate him

And according to him, he went to the last team to "shoot movies". Even TV producers have relegated the man to solely radio appearances. The man is a pariah among TV personalities and audiences alike. Guess who champions him? Of course, our resident village idiot.

A flaming nonce like you probably considers a rank idiot and unrepentant Bronsexual knobjockey like Nick Wright a genius so why not Rob Parker who actually spat facts.

Nobody respects Le3-6-1 and his Mickey Mouse ring which explains why even after winning he is out there crying for respect. Literally nobody cares for his Mickey mouse ring apart from crackhead Bronsexuals like yourself

Tywin Lannister said it best Any Man Who Must Say 'I Am The King' Is No True King"
I'm just trying to imagine Rob Parker and Nick Wright in a sport debate. Rob would get embarrassed to the extent that he'll start sending Nick death threats afterwards. grin

LOL this mad man is still here trying to convince people MJ was a good 3 point shooter.

And did he just call Rob Parker a genius? cheesy

I told you lot to pray for this man. LeBron winning has turned him into a howling ape grin
We've explained to him that the three point shooting is in relation to the overall FG%. But somehow he fails to understand. Aren't FG% a sum total of 2FG% and 3FG%? How then is MJ's FG% much lower when he only attempted 2 threes?

Iguodala is a FMVP and Chris Paul is not. What that means is he can influence an NBA finals series in ways Chris Paul has never done. Antecedent is with me on this one; when Andre was fit Warriors were leading 2-1 and when he played the very next season even with Paul playing, Warriors won 4-2. Next point, if they made 7/44 does that not mean it was 7/17 before they missed 27 threes? How many threes had the warriors made by then? How well MJs help played is also moot. MJ has had poor showings that the Bulls still won in the finals. The final argument on beatable etc. is now entirely semantical. Even MJs 72-10 Bulls were "beatable" too.

Rondo wont work for Clippers. Those wide open 3s he got are for a reason - you would rather live with a Rondo making shots than anyone else. Any other big PG on the Lakers would have done the same or more damage on offense - even Caruso looks awesome on the Lakers. I'm all for Rondo making tons of money off of clippers, then sucking come playoffs grin

The one thing a slower, older Rondo still has though, is that basketball instinct, and it complemented a slower, older Lebron very well during the Nuggets series. It was almost funny to see how they were taking advantage of a much younger team just through smarts. This is why I dont think Rondo would mesh as well with the Clippers - Clippers need to ressurrect the Indiana Pacers PG3, or find another gunner.

If nothing else, I never liked the hatred Celtic Rondo had for Lebron, it seemed like he was carrying Pierce's hate. An older, more independent Rondo seems to have a better appreciation and respect for Lebron. I hope he stays a Laker.
You're joking right?

WeissVonner:
He has all the non financial incentive to stay. RJ also mentioned that when they played in Dallas, Rondo always made it known that he wanted to be in LA. I think he'll get a small raise and stay. Bradley might also opt out because his stock is high right now. If McGee does I say dump his as- but I hope he gets paid somewhere else.

Danny Green earning 15m and being horrible is going to cause a lot of problems in this team.
Lol. I'll be surprised if Danny is still here next year. And it looks like his second year is guaranteed too. I wonder who'll be willing to pay him 14m
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:33pm On Oct 15, 2020
Lol. This nonce just goes on the internet and harvests any photo from his fellow LeBron haters without verifying it. Lol. LeBron averaged 27.8 points in his first 3 finals. Lol. I wonder what other stats from that photo is skewed. Get a life bro
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:15pm On Oct 15, 2020
Rondo's situation is kind of a tricky one. At this stage of his career what is it that he really wants? He's made quite a few bucks over the years, but he wouldn't mind getting $14m in two years before he calls it quits. That's a handsome retirement money. If the Lakers won't give him that money I won't be surprised if he goes where he can get it.

On the other hand, why leave a team where you just won. Staying with the Lakers could almost guarantee you a few more chips, if that's what you're chasing. Because right now, chips look like the only thing that can land him in that hall of fame.

All in all, I think he'll stay if the Lakers agree to give him 4-5m a year.

Rob Parker is shameless. Congratulate the dude for his accomplishments and move on, no, he's bitching about, actively hating a player like he is a jilted spouse.

What about the context? With an incompetent front office and bad culture Cleveland was a dead end and Lebron knew it.

Without a competent front office and/or a competitive team culture you are doomed before you can even compete.
Rob is one of those people who have sworn never to say anything good about LeBron. LeBron's success saddens him smiley

People sleeping on Westbrook. Replace Paul George with Westbrook on that Clippers team and they automatically become better. In fact I'll fear them more than I did this season.

Meanwhile, I hear the Clippers are looking at Rondo. Lol. All of a sudden Rondo is a hot cake. The only thing that can take Rondo there is if they quadruple his money. He'll earn 2.6m next year if he stays. I'm keeping Rondo by all means if I'm the Lakers.

Finals MVP is not the end all be all. Really, think about it. It takes only the finals game(s) into account and could careless if the FMVP was coasting during the first round, semis and conference finals. And MJ would have entered the following season after his 35th birthday as the best player as well. By the way, Giannis and Harden deserved it but narrative gave it to RWB. Warriors had 67-15 that year and won 18 straight games with Durant out. Curry had 28 ppg as well. You see, if your argument is that Lebron deserved it this season then why would it not have been one of the warriors players that 2016/17 season?
But people used finals MVP to crown Kawhi the best player in the league. Or am o missing something?

And it's hard not to give a 31 point triple double player the MVP after it had been done only once previously.

Congratulation to the Lakers..
The clippers-lakers finals would have been something spectacular sha..
Look, the Lakers should have gone 4-0 against the Clippers in the regular season. We actually had a double digit lead in the third quarter in both game 1 & 2. But let's not dwell on that. We lost. But the last two games were actually the most important because they were the closest to the playoffs. Beating a team closer to the playoffs after previous loses shows that you're probably better than them. The Lakers had found the Clippers out right form game 3

I can vividly remember how they were all celebrating that opening day victory like the Clippers just won the chip cheesy Fast forward one year and the Lakers are champions and the Clippers are wailing in our basement.

Man literally said it's Kawhi he trusts, like Kawhi was supposed to take on LeBron and AD singlehandedly. But when PG started misbehaving in the playoffs they wanted to crucify him. These people are so inconsistent grin
