mattfeuter: Skip bAyless, is that you?
What you also failed to tell the audience is that he averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists across six Finals games.
You also failed to mention that Bron is the first player in NBA Finals history to lead both teams in points, assists and rebounds for the entire series. You even get these people time. Talking about efficiency. Who cares about efficiency. If you stop me from making a shot the first time then I'll try again. I'll keep trying until I score enough points. I don't care how many shots I take to get it. If I average 35 on your head, whether I took 100 shots or not, then you didn't do your job well. What they fail to tell us is that LeBron was the only threat and scorer on that team, and they could double team him as much as they wanted. Talmbout he took 30 shots. |

Repeatedly saying someone only looks at the box scores will not make it true. Lol It gives them joy to slander LeBron repeatedly here, but when we talk about Steph small they get emotional . Anyway, I don't even have time to be arguing about Steph, he's not that important. Steph without KD and those injuries to Kyrie and Love will just be another Giannis: regular season champion but can't show up in the playoffs. |

Android17: Curry won 67-15 and a ring with these players in 2014-15. Bring the Clippers teams as well as the Rockets team CP3 played on. We need receipts now. 19 Leandro Barbosa 40 Harrison Barnes 12 Andrew Bogut 30 Stephen Curry 31 Festus Ezeli C 23 Draymond Green 7 Justin Holiday 9 Andre Iguodala 1 Ognjen Kuzmić 10 David Lee PF 34 Shaun Livingston 20 James Michael McAdoo 4 Brandon Rush 5 Marreese Speights 11 Klay Thompson Lol. Because he faced a Cavs team that didn't have Love and Kyrie. And then when he lost the next year he went and recruited KD. Lol |

etidy: I suppose cp3 has led a team to the final since he has more multiplier effect than curry.
If curry was black skinned and had nigger swag like Lillard would we even be having this discussion Lol. But LeBron has; since you're the one that brought up LeBron. And everybody knows that Draymond Green has been the leader and playmaker of this GS team since they became a dynastic franchise. All Curry ever needed to do was score the basketball. |

Android17: Curry needed 20 assists against Nets to influence the game instead of the 10 he got. And he should never ever suffer a shooting slump because any day he does he is not fit to be an NBA player. Unlike Lebron that has always been the best shooter the NBA has ever seen and has never suffered a shooting slump. Imagine if Klay Thompson was playing he would have carried the team like he always does. Klay Thompson has never suffered a shooting slump in 2018 and 2019 like Curry. Curry is a bum. Lol. Until Curry has led this team to the finals don't mention him in the same sentence when it comes to carrying a team. |

The great cp3 that has multiplier effects where did he take lob city to? Abeg it's just 3 games Lol. I know you people love Curry so much that you'll say anything to defend him, but let's face it, he has some flaws in his game. Everybody does. Well, maybe except for LeBron |

birdman: The fact that you brought up the bolded is telling. Maybe Curry needs to be less nice and easy going? Just that vocal presence on the court and in the locker room. I saw how DG was explaining a situation to Wiseman in their game against the Bucks even though he wasn't kitted. DG would definitely bark at Oubre and Wiggins if them mess up, I know he's that kind of person. Or at least him go look them bad eye. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 6:28am On Dec 28, 2020 |
birdman: I think steady986 is talking ala CP3. Curry is a fearsome offensive weapon. But he has no multiplier effect on the rest of the team. We never realized this because having Klay with Curry lets the ball flow freely anyways. I dont think this is a knock on Curry anyhow because Lillard is the same way. And like you said how do you motivate a Wiggins? CP3 would definitely force the issue with Wiggins and Oubre, find them easy buckets and hold them accountable. This was my initial point exactly. |

benji93: Analyze basketball properly bro, analyze. In the past 2 games he's not had the chance to shoot himself out of his poor form, cos it's always been a blowout and Kerr won't let him stat pad. He was very poor again, just better than the previous two, but this time he had 4 quarters, and he did come through in the fourth. I have a feeling you are just looking at the box score. Wiggins played well in the first and held us in it until the 2nd half, especially the 4th when Curry came alive. So he only needed to play in the 4th quarter to get his efficiency right? Gotcha |

Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:47am On Dec 28, 2020 |
benji93: True, but are 3s the only points that count? He's been doing ok from midrange and drives. Those guys cannot even get a bucket from midrange. You obviously do not understand what you are saying. How many points do you want him to score? 60 every night? It's obvious he rushes some of his 3s and i understand why he still tries to take them despite not being good looks cos even if another player has a better look he'll brick it. Na the reason why i dey ask you if na back of TV you dey watch. Cos if you watched the game at least until it became a blow out you would have noticed his shots began falling for a stretch, then his teammates bricking continued then he slumped again. And i am in no way defending his poor shooting form as i believe he should be able to lead this team with Draymond Green and an upcoming Wiseman. For Oubre and Wiggins, dem fit add whatever dem wan add. . But what you talk up there na rubbish. Steph shot 33% and 35% in the first 2 games. If your main scorer shoots that poorly them you're going to lose the game, I don't care how bad the other guys are. Can't you see tonight that Oubre was still terrible (3 for 16), but because Steph shot over 40% they at least secured the win. |

Let a fully fit clippers jam a fully fit mavs for playoffs again. Na then una go know say white men can jump That has always been their downfall, they're just bothered about beating the Lakers, without thinking about other teams. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:28am On Dec 28, 2020 |
Android17: If Curry's problem is shooting 3s then there is no problem. He is still far and away the best 3 point shooter in the league. Besides, it is the Nets and Bucks he lost to on their turf. He had lost at Oracle with KD in the team to Bucks by 30+ points. Things like that will happen from time to time. I will not criticize Oubre and Wiggins yet. Boston Celtics got beat up pretty bad by the same Nets and with a greater margin than the warriors did. It is a long season and teams will ebb, flow and go through the motions. It is. And DG would be back to ease the pressure off the team |

Perhaps you should go and watch the game against the Bucks. Be careful oooo. Is it only Oubre and Wiggins that are not shooting well? Curry is 4 for 20 from 3 in the first 2 games. He's culpable too. |

mattfeuter: They have both made All defensive teams twice In their careers.
Jrue holiday is also a one time All star, Bledsoe is yet to make the list. But who made all-defense last year? And Jrue was an all star back in 2013. That seems like ages ago. And he certainly wasn't an all star because of his defensive prowess, which is the basis of our argument here. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 1:48pm On Dec 27, 2020 |
Steph is making me to believe that he can only thrive if he has another sniper on the court alongside him. Because it's much easier to get better looks when there's another shooter on the court because it takes some of the attention off of you. Now that Steph is drawing all the attention things are not looking so good.
The Warriors just posted a 5-minute video of Steph shooting over 100 threes in a row, and I said to myself, that's just what he is: the best shooter in the game. But because he plays the point guard position doesn't mean he's the best point guard. A good point guard should be able to lead a team and control play; Steph clearly can't. And it's easy to make shots when no one is guarding you; we need to see it on the court.
Now is the time for Steph to really prove to the world that he has something more than just shooting, because this season can really make or nar his statue as one of the greatest point guards ever.
I expect him to make the playoffs though, because GS will definitely be better once DG returns. At least he'll relieve Steph of the burden of ball handling and creativity, as well as leadership. |

The things you say sometimes ehn. Take this as your guide.
Eric Bledsoe is not in the same league with Jrue Randall Holiday. When it comes to defence and offence Jrue is elite. Thank you. Just because somebody is not good on offence doesn't make him bad on defence. Bledsoe made all defensive team last year, what did Jrue make? |
