You mind sharing rhe gigs u did to raise the funds.

247Hustler:
The road to America

By the end of March 2022, I have received responses for all my school applications. I have four total offers with one being funded. I was very happy but I decided to keep calm as I have read several cases of people being denied visas at the embassy.

I proceeded to arrange for the payment of my SEVIS and visa fees. I had a little delay with the payment of my SEVIS fee, so I could not pay on time. For this reason, I missed the early dates that were released for the interview. When the money was finally paid, I started looking for interview dates in Abuja. This process was arguably one of the hardest as dates were always not available. After a series of sleepless nights and sleeping on my computer keyboard, I managed to get a date that was a few days to resumption. I picked this date and began my preparation for the visa interview.

When it was two days before my interview, I left Ogun State for Abuja by road. Prior to this time, I have read news of kidnappings on the road. Although the news greatly disturbed me and my loved ones, the flight cost was exorbitant and going for that option would create a big hole in my finances considering my current and future expenses.

I got to Abuja at night and lodged at a guesthouse for two nights. On the day of the interview, I woke up very early and went to the US Embassy at Diplomatic Drive. When I got there, I met other people who were the for the same purpose and I went straight to the front. About an hour later, we lined up and were told to go in after the checks.

Throughout the process, I was so nervous because the stakes were so high. Since I was the first person in the queue, I was also the first person to be interviewed by the visa officer. My interview lasted for less than three minutes and I was approved. I quickly took my files and left the embassy for the guesthouse. Then I called my family and friends to inform them about the good news. It seemed surreal! My visa has been approved and I will be going to America!

A few weeks later, I booked my flight and the travel was scheduled for December. After spending time with my family and loved ones, I departed Nigeria for the United States in December 2022.

Yes, dreams do come true! I hope someone will try again one more time before giving up on life.

I have a Toyota Highlander which is an SUV and because of the poor state of Nigerian roads, I would advise prospective buyers to seriously consider getting a good SUV and the Highlander is the best on the market right now.
Currently need one now, any advice or recommendation on where to get a good one.

Akpuoru:
Good morning all, I have been refused visa twice to the UK.
First was in 2018. We applied as a family to attend a niece's wedding. All of us were denied. However, my wife and daughter reapplied for the same wedding trip and were given visa.
I did not reapply due to work. Reason for my refusal was that I did not provide evidence of my financial state. (My pension account was used instead of my regular account. I wasn't really around during the application)
This year I decided on going for a short vacation to UK during my annual leave. My plan was to use the opportunity to assess the 3 universities that offered me admission for a Master program. Had planned the trip for the 3rd to the 10th of October this year. I did my biometrics on 23rd August but a refusal email was sent on the 19th of October. Reason is that I did not explain funds that entered my account. But the fact is that I did.
I don't know how these may affect my application for my student visa which I am processing now. I'll love advice on how to go about my application. My offer is for January 2023. I have passed my PreCAS interview waiting to process my CAS.
Kind regards
With a clear details explanation it should be fine and have no negative impact on your student application. Good luck.

Good morning Fam,
I am new here as I just moved to newcastle with my family on student visa, i am studying digital marketing, 2 year course, prior to moving I was working at a bank with 9 years experience, I will be starting care job soonest to be earning £ at least. I wanted to find out from our experiences here how else I can start searching for a jobs that will give me sponsorship. Can my experience in the financial sector help?
You could take more courses online In line with finances and technology. Let say product marketing and management which you can find on product school, just because of your digital marketing msc you taking at the moment, this will speed up your employment credibility. You can start by applying for an internship in line with the career via combining your experience of finance and what i stated above.

The market is very bearish at the moment....... Probably the best time to hop in ........ Bear in the mind, the dip always gets deeper.........

Loads of regulated platforms available, to dip your toes, in the deep...... grin

You can have a combined investment pattern of a SIPP account, running along side a GIA situation......... smiley
Very interesting, thanks chief I will take a close look and study the market carefully. Any idea if can i trade stocks using the bamboo app in the uk aswell ?

Hello Everyone.

Good Afternoon.

Pls i am worried. I applied for my uk student visa on April 19th. I decided to go to tls connect in abuja as an agent adviced they have a high chance of granting my visa if i apply in abuja than lagos.

I got a non straighforward email on the 13th of May, asking for evidence of what i have been doing since i left school in 2015 i.e additional work and further schooling documents.

I submited my previous and current work appointment letters, and reference letters, on the same day, i.e 13th May.

But i still havnt gotten any email yet.

Are there ppl in this same situation? and is this normal? Should i have gotten a response yet? How long does non straight forward mails last before getting a response.

Pls, iv read so much material on this platform, but this is my first ever post. I need help and advice.

Thanks.
I think visa application takes 6 weeks now, so you might wana count the week behind since u applied

I have a friend there. And I suggested he should help me pay for my deposit over there, but he said it's not advisable to do that. Because I will be charged on a high rate.
He said it's advisable I pay via the form A, because it's cheaper. Guys there even send money to Nigeria to pay their subsequent school fees.
Right, but any idea how it can be paid over there in the uk to the uni, is there like a bank detail or something??

Cool, do we still need to have the complete fees in our account when processing the visa application or remove the deposit paid from the fee when processing the visa application.
