Immigrant Visa [NO?] - "An F1 visa is a nonimmigrant visa"
Permanent resident visa [NO]
Provincial Nominee [NO]
Visitor visa [NO]
Temporary resident visa [hmm]

The last one is tricky but I think it should be [NO]. If you applied for an F1 visa then, according to Mr Google, "You're a non-resident under F1 Student Visa. You do not fall under or qualify for Temporary Residency."

I was refused a student Visa recently but I answered NO to the first question and then YES to the second one. I guess I have done the right thing?

How different? Could you please elaborate? These are the exact questions asked to everyone. I copied and pasted from the Post ITA questions.

You have to declare visa refusals for both you and your spouse. I posted the statutory questions here. Which one did you answer no to?

Wifey called IRCC agent this afternoon, the lady told us that our file has been approved since March 7th and PPR mail already sent.

But we didn't get any mail(not even in my spam & the likes). The lady had to put us on hold for like 3 mins again to confirm very well, she came back affirming her earlier information to us and even requested for my mail id again for confirmation.

Las Las, she said she will contact the officer in charge to send us another PPR mail. Na Prayer we dey since o while we have tried to send some mails as advised here earlier. Thanks famz

Yes, she can claim points for 3 years as her total work experience exceeds 3 years. She only needs to get reference letter in one of the jobs where her work experience is at least 1 year.

Topsmamen Bossman I think the way it is worded might confuse some people lol.

Short answer is this.. If you are claiming points for an Experience. Upload a reference letter.

Eg: If you added your experience in 10 different jobs to make up your 3 years (extreme example), You are to upload 10 different reference letters. Just remember that out of those 10 jobs you had, you should have worked for at least one year in one of them.

For jobs you are not claiming points for, those are to be moved to personal history.

If it was a PAID Internship and under a valid NOC, you can count it.

Assuming you get 8777 on the IELTS exam.. 444 would be your score.

So the anti climax of this long almost two years ordeal is ending with a refusal due to incorrect NOC code. I applied with NOC code 0213 - Computer and Information System Manager.

Activities/Timelines can definitely overlap. In reality there are people that don't do only one thing at a particular time. Eg: Say a person works and goes to school at the same time, you enter those dates are they were. Employment 2012-2014. Education 2012-2014.

The issue with his dates is the Organizational activity. You get a warning when you choose it, letting you know it would not be counted as the rest are. If he/she was unemployed during that time, put it as such and say what he/she was doing during that time.

How do you know? He/she needs to try all options to see which works. I had the same issue and until I switched my dates, it was successful.

I told him/her to try and see if it would go through. I’m not forcing my advice on anyone.

I'm not trying to scare anyone with this but the statutory questions worried me after I read a rejection case.
The person in question answered "no" to the best of his knowledge but his application got denied. He later found out that when he was a child his parents applied for a visa with him as a dependent.

His parents were rejected so the rejection applied to him as well. His parents did not initially remember this as it was so long ago. Some advised he hire an immigration lawyer. Hopefully it worked out for him.

This made me call my parents to interrogate them. lol. It was intense."Daddy where were you in 1993 at 2pm"

The Statutory question does not specify a period as it would have included the phrase, "....in the last 10 years...." just as we have in the Personal History and Address History sections. Please check if there's the ? tool tip beside each statutory question. If there's a tip there, what does it say?

Hi Topsmamen, Could you please confirm if the Statutory questions have a 10 year limit? I thought it was any refusal or "order to leave" etc.. that has ever occurred in one's life.

Please don't not go anywhere near NOC 0124 if you are not a manager in the marketing,sales,advertising, communication space . Check NOC 6411, also ensure this skill type falls under 0,A, B. Buzz me for more
