Good day great nlanders,@ STENON pls I need your advice, I intend furthering my studies in UK , I have bsc(ed) economics 2:1 and my trcn , also I have been teaching for two years,

Pls should I go for pgce so I can teach in UK

Or I should go for a direct masters course

And please which course is adviceable to further for msc

Pls I would appreciate your response.....
I am not sure of pgce since you already have BSc(Ed). I think any direct MSc in management course or inclusive education as read from someone here should be better.
RomanceRe: Her Mother Said She Can't Marry An Ebonyi Man by STENON(f):
Giwoni:
My Love Experience

Good day NLanders

I'm a medical student, and gf ( not sure what to call her now) is in MLS. We are both in same level (500l).

It all started in 2015, when we gained admission into the University. We began to read together and subsequently I started teaching her. Later on, she made me to read and susummarize her course topics (which I did for up to her 300 level) for her as she usually found it difficult to read with textbooks and understand the contents.

Months before my 2nd MBBS examinations, I began to notice changes in her attitude and behaviour towards me, up to the point that she told me that if I did not pass that examinations that, she will forget about me. But as God may have it, I passed successfully.

Financially, it started right in year one as I celebrated her and her mummy's Christmas from my own pocket. It got to a point that I usually give her her money almost every day (for up to 5yrs) Whenever, I'm traveling in any of our vacations, I usually give money for upkeep until I'm back.

In 300l, I bought her gift worth almost 30k and also celebrated her birthday which she demanded I get her 'point and kill cat fish' that cost 9k.

I usually pay for her textbooks and seminar work as we are all in medical school, I really do a lot for her, as she always told me she would never leave me right from yr 1 to 500l after which she started telling me, their people from Anambra will not let her marry people from Ebonyi State.

She's has known this for all her life, but decided to bring it up just now, when I'm beginning my marriage plans with her, She's started giving me unnecessary excuses in one form or the other.

In 400L, my elder brother told me that I should leave my medical school here to go and study the same medicine abroad. Because of her, I told him that I want to finish my school here since I am already in 400 level. That after my MBBS degree, I can then go abroad for my Masters degree...

This January, my elder brother told me that since I would be graduating in 2022 (which supposed to be 2021 but due to strike before the 2019 election) which is two years time, that I should be planning to get married before I leave this country.

This made me to ask her again if we are ending up together and she told me that she has to seek for her mother's consent, and would give me a feedback.

Before, she travelled (this is just before the lock down) as she was complaining that she does not have any money on her to eat and she want to go and learn how to plait hair which will cost her #8,000, I gave her #16,000. The next day after collecting the money, she told me that she received a call from her mother that she must come back to her State and she travelled with that money without learning anything.

Yesterday by 8:24pm, I called her to tell me the outcome of her mother's discussion with her. She told me that her mother insisted that she cannot marry an Ebonyi man, and she cannot go outside her mother's decision.

In conclusion, she told me that she cannot marry me.

Well, as expected, I'm bracing myself up for insults, (I really don't mind this right now) but amidst the insults, pls advice a brother who's fighting emotionally.

thanks
Congrats. Right now, Go and download many electronic music to create happiness and be thanking God for your bright future. Finish your final paper and leave to another country. PLAB is the requirement in UK but dont know for US, Na she go dey search for you on facebook, nairaland, tru friend of friends, and even emails grin wink cheesy

Lolz grin grin cheesy I won't say "Ma" again, Madam!

1. Settled

2. I think it's just their decision that the wife should study, while hubby supports the family.

** What do you see to: MSc INCLUSIVE & SPECIAL EDUCATION... plz?? Said he wouldn't mind that. Would that be relevant outside UKhuh

3. They are considering Schools in Scotland over others. That should help the registration process. Pls can you suggest any school with flexible payment plan?? And job for husband.

She already joined this Forum last night, so I will leave them to take it up from here.

Thanks Sis. May God make u bigger!
2.Thanks, That discipline is very relevant right now and they are employed as Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Teachers in UK schools, with many job opportunities .

3. I don't really know much about the payment plans as I have never used one before, but I read something like that online about GCU, UWS, but please be sure that they are offering the course.

The husband must start from any available job upon his arrival. But the best is to start from either care assistant at carehome, or other jobs at amazon, Royalmail, etc.

Amen and wish you all the best of success.

Hello House,

I got a conditional offer from Teesside University. I also got a mail from them asking me to apply for VC scholarship which is £5000.
Is the general scholarship for Nigerians different from this and automatically awarded to all applicants. I don't understand. I will appreciate any idea.

Thanks

Thanks so much Madam!

On Professional Licence, the Lady works with one of the Federal Unity Schools, do you mean TRCN? I will get more info on that later Ma.

Sadly, she's the one applying to study, while husband will be dependant. On point 3, I don't know how they can work that out...hnmmm

I guess she could get the UK teaching licence before completion of studies.

You've opened up areas to work on Ma. Gracias!
Please o I never reach "Ma". cheesy

1. Federal unity school is a good one to add to her work experience. Yes, TRCN

2. If possible let the husband be the main applicant for studies while the wife apply as dependant, or Please let wife apply for any management course for her MSc as that is a fast route to becoming Principal or Head Teacher .

3. Yes, she can get the UK teaching license . But please remember it is quite difficult to become a registered Teacher in England, but easier at other part of UK.
So the best is to get registered either in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, before applying for registration with Teaching council in England.

Hello Everybody. Please to those on ground....

+ Do Teachers have opportunities too? I've noticed rush for IT, Medicine, Engr, etc...

+ What course would you advise a female teacher with about 10 years experience to look into, should she want to change career?

She has BEd Accounting.

Please: Tobexin, Justwise, Aprokodaughter and other Elders
Hi.

1. Yes, Such as been paid your full salary while on lockdown, bank holidays, free weekends and comfortable lifestyle.
Many opportunities for STEM teachers via tier 2 work visa, but STEM teachers from Nigeria is currently not on the list , though Zimbabwe, south africa, New Zealand etc are eligible.

2. No need to change career, just have enough Professional licence and CPD to show for the 10 years.

3. BEd Accounting is not bad at all, though accounting is not on shortage occupation list but applying as a tier 4 dependant will give automatic full time work permit for her to get the teaching job easily.

**With UK teaching licence, You can migrate to any country of your choice for teaching cheesy**

Hello. Please I would like to know if it’s possible for both husband and wife to study full time while caring for a toddler.

Is there any one presently studying in the uk with their children with them? How are you coping? Please help allay my fears.

Thanks.
not advisable except you have older siblings and housemaid here.

Btw... why do you both want to study full time at a time ?
I will advice the wife to study full time so as to care for the toddler while the husband apply as tier 4 dependant to be able to work full time and if possible night shift for him to be able to take care of the toddler while the wife is away to school or work during the day angry

I am still single. Can we talk via email?
Not sure about the email talk thou sad.
Some people with trusted partner did a low key registry wedding before leaving Nigeria just to bring their spouses here with tier 4 dependant visa and be able to work full time. But it's very risky I must confess, everyone will claim to love you once abroad is involved but on getting here, they changed to another person. I have read and heard so many bad and good stories associated with that route, So many divorcee and unhappy home as a result of dependant visa. Not to scare you but just saying the reality of life. May God help you .

Please i need your advise. I am a graduate of Human Anatomy, I finished with 2:1. I got offer at university of hertfordshire to study Msc adult Nursing (2 yr pre-registration program)

Tuition fee goes for around £12,500 per year. I can only afford a year. Course work and hospital rotation is very bulky and no funding from school.

Personally, Nursing is a lucrative and interesting field. Employment opportunities are 98-100%

Now here are my questions

1) is it advisable to go for a 2 yr Msc
2) What other options would you give someone with 5 million budget. Uk is not the final destination, just a leaping stone.

Thanks
Ye, very possible. If you are married or have an understanding spouse, you are good to go. Getting tier 4 dependant is another opportunity for your spouse to work full time in UK while you are studying and be able to support you. I have friends here working minimum 55 hours per week to assist their spouse by setting up a monthly direct debit from their bank account to pay school fees, while the spouse works 20hours per week to pay for just house rent and other Bills.
