This ISWAP faction is a bit too tactical, not to be getting outside help........to me, the army brass is a bit laid back, like the soldiers are expendable puns.....i also think, the army brass needs to stop the idea of mass production, and put more emphasis on the quality of each soldier passing out......
The helicopter was shot down....i think one of the pilots was a member of 58RC, how it was shot down i dont know yet, this is what i could get from his coursemate and no, i wont tell you his name, though it starts with a K
mekussa: This idea of feeding our men and weapons piece by piece to this beasts is outrageous. These men and material lost over the past 60 days is enough to launch a MASSIVE and MAJOR military offensive against their strongholds and kick their asses to kingdom come. Its like we have become their armoury. The attrition rate is mind boggling
Sadly we have become the armoury......we are fighting bh, with the same weapons , but they attack with overwhelming numbers.
Stephandeswardt: Believe it or not.....boko haram is winning this insurgency, they have the initiative....we have no queen on the chessboard, and we are still loosing puns to them.....we need a master stroke, to change the hands of the game......how many tanks in total and arty pieces do we have in the whole nigeria that is functional and how many have been lost in the N.E, how many then remains? How many rpgs do we have? Some officers have never in their lives held one........this battlefront annoys the hell out of me, red necks and politicians do not seem to be bothered, till their doors are broken open, by the soldiers themselves that protect them in the wee hours of the night.
I remember when i made this statement, people were insulting........i am in this military and i have been in the N. E BH has the initiative at the fringes, i am trained higher than the regular Infrantry, and i have paid my dues......what we need is a major offensive , that will push at least 30 kilo into our neighbours territory, i am a navy type and already hearing news about my brothers in Baga........lets beat this maddness into submission and make them respect us, and let them know there will be consequences for each out post attacked........

Geronimoe: Haba! Oga calm down na,it's a brand new day and there's no need for this.
I repeat rpg7, cant kill a T72........but there are other RPG variants like rpg 29 that will destroy a T72....am surprise BHT didnt drive away the armoured vehicles, i guess they set them on fire, else if the vehicles were destroyed during active combat, it means Bht has gotten better anti tank weapons
Why is our T72 getting blown up by rpg 7? Does BHT have new weapon systems? I saw a T72, that cocked off, the turret blown off......rpg7 isnt meant to defeat a T72.
I keep hearing they took 40 barrels, they took 40 barrels....i hope it isnt mrls? With the amount of armour we have lost to BHT , or destroyed or BHT destroyed and the amount of atry pieces also.....i wonder just how strong our army is now.
Henry240: Capacity Development: Nigerian Air Force officers and airmen/airwomen undergoing Basic Regiment (Regt) Course conducted a training tour to the Army School of Artillery Kachia, where they mounted and fired a complete Battery of Artillery Guns. The exercise is a prerequisite for completing their training and becoming bonafide NAF Regt personnel. Robust and result-oriented training, under the leadership of the current Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, is building the capacity of the NAF Regt for enhanced professional performance to bridge the gap between force projection and force protection.
I dont see the basis for these training , seems the radar systems were not used during the training
[quote author=calddon post=71968136]90percent of pure commandos experienced this, i inclusive. If you wouldn't want your ward to pass through such dont send him to such school.
DISCIPLINE and KNOWLEDGE [/quote
I see we have the blood in us......the boy suppose dig in height self
lonelydora: The name of the school is 'Command' nag. So everything is order which you must not flaunt.
Parents think Command calms a stubborn boy, but it makes them harder and mean
I left command to go to navy....was very quiet, only my fellow commandos that came to navy understood i had a beast in me, navy boys kept trying me, till i beat up a guy 2 times my size.......we are not normal in command schools especially the boarding house.
Command flogging....normal, the boy nah fake commando, make dem transfer go boarding, we all have stories to tell, me wey i sleep inside jungle to avoid commandant inspection and tje morning drills
I remember the army chief, saying the army bought miniguns or gatling guns, for base protection.....2 of those guns will do wonders to beat of assualts on locations......i have no seen a single pic of those guns.
Whats the story on the 1 billion ECA funds? Also i remember a statement made that jordan is gifting us IFV and helicopters, also the army chief stated that the army has purchased gatling guns, to suppress BHT swarm attacks.......Seems many are talking , few are seeing.
Covert1: This right here is glorifying terrosists. Taking it down is advisable. They are no martyrs but wicked murderers. They need no form of publicity.
I want to see this video, we need to see this videos.....its not gloryfying any terrorists, its best we know what reality is.....coming from someone that eats and drink and been through stuffs with sbs and AFSF......AM LOYAL TO NIGERIA BUT I WANT TO SEE THE VIDEOS
bidex111: Screen grab from the new video released by #ISIS Wilāyat Gharb Afrīqīyyah shows Jihadists attack on a Nigerian Army Encampment in Buni-Yadi, Yobe province few miles from Dapchi where over 100 girls were kidnapped. A Christian girl Leah Sharibu is still being held .
nemesis8u: Operation ( defensive or otherwise ) inside a base u control and operation inside a hostile territory with which u r not familiar is 2 different things.
One thing I found surprising is that the commander withdrew while majority of his men where left behind.
In CT ops especially in tough conditions NCOs r better suited to lead the men , officers especially senior r not conditioned enough or linked enough with men.
If I were incharge in hostile territory I would rather have groups lead by NCOs who r made responsible for command under fire collectively with delegation of AORs.
Chain of command is important. But longer the chain of command is in a situation requiring immediate response the more prone it is to breakdown or create confusion.
the effectiveness of command varies at different levels.
Under fire the command at the lowest hierarchy is what matters most and inturn most effective.
I don't expect most of u to understand this , one needs to be in such situations to understand how this works.
This july and august is going to be terrible...because BHT has been hibernating somewhere and just got new stock army equipment.......when we were going weeks without confrontation, i was saying it, something is wrong....the front is too quiet to be a front.....later we started confronting and making seizures...it was 1 ak 47 and den guns.....later more aks and fewer den guns, later more assorted rifles and grenades , later more assorted rifles, grenades and anti aircraft guns.......that is when i started sensing major battles like this are going to be cropping up.
Odunayaw: What then do you learn in Infantry school? I am sure its not anthem & march drills
When the bullets starts flying.....you will understand what fright can do.......thats why you need a ratio of battle tested; to make the lads function, else almost 800 men, with equipment ran away from what number of BHT? Even if it comes to savage hand to hand...they shouldnt loose.
giles14: most soldiers been killed are not those been rotated but new Gucci boys fresh from the depot.
Who remembers the colombia army guys versus the farc....that all the army guys couldnt even mount a decent defense.....thats whats happens when you have fresh on the field lads
giles14: most soldiers been killed are not those been rotated but new Gucci boys fresh from the depot.
My point exactly......you need a ratio of exprienced in the field to non experienced in the field to give the new lads on the job training......else, they are as good as new civilians when baptism of fire begins..... but with the right ratio, there would be a balance to stop the defence or attack crumbling.......lets not forfet BHT is learning on the job, same way any military learns on the job and adapts.
You see what I was saying... They carry guys who finished their basic training last December straight from Depot to the North East.. and them too were there busy snapping pictures and showing it on Facebook
I remember a soldier complaining, that experienced soldiers are been withdrawn , that this will back fire... the red necks need to listen to the rank and files....they have common sense too, and will offer insights, they stop been treated like robots.
I think influx of new and inexperienced troops.....so BHT are testing them , and the troops are failing.i think there is a spy giving BHT INFO about this units.
Watch this really intense combat documentary from France24 and enjoy.
Colombian army
Watch FARC engage soldiers despite heavy air presence and win.
The Colombians had 3 armed helicopters and a bomber, yet the FARC still engaged forces. Killing 4 soldiers, 1 police and capturing a journalist according to the government. 17 soldiers KIA according to the FARC.
Lack of situational awareness and fright made them loose.......even the helicopters were too high and shooting blindly....also the ground troops failed to engage the FARC, they were just scattered about....looking for where to hide
