Reno Omokri has replied Governor Oshiomhole over his claims that former President Jonathan threatened to put him in hole after the 2015 presidential. The former aide to Jonathan tweeted; 

“As I tweet, @GEJonathan is being honored in Atlanta and about to be honored in Europe. Oshiomhole cant put him in a hole God hasn't put him!.”

Governor Oshiomhole while addressing APC members in Edo state yesterday said;

"Around this time last year, in January, a few weeks to the election, many were saying quite recklessly on radio and television that we were finished.The former President, Goodluck Jonathan told our National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun to inform me that after the election, he will put me, Adams, the son of Oshiomhole in a hole and I told Chief Oyegun to inform him to dig that hole very deep because although I am short, in the course of pushing me into the hole, nobody knows who will get there first. Since he is taller than me, he needs to dig the hole deep enough so that either of us can get in. In the end, he is inside the hole and I am busy putting dust into that hole.

In this hall, around this time last year, we held a meeting to share information about what was going on in various local governments and the specific challenges in each of those local government in order to fashion out appropriate response. Some of the statements that we shared in those meetings included threats that by June, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole would have been impeached because PDP would write results whether we liked it or not. They would overrun the House of Assembly and once the House is proclaimed in June, before the end of June, Comrade would be banished to his house in the village and from there to prison. Those who made those threats, who supervised those processes, even now in their early 90s are writing letters to explain how they shared money meant for defence. Every evil weapon they fashioned against me did not prosper and even the ones they are fashioning now will not prosper.”

Today, veteran actor Richard Mofe Damijo switched up throwback Thursdays #TBT by making it more fun and a bit competitive.

The 54-year-old hunky thespian took to his page moments ago to share an old photo of himself from a movie and then asked his fans to guess which movie it was and the year it was released to stand a chance to win N50,000..just like that!

The TBT photo shows RMD wearing a police uniform while sporting a darker moustache and a smile. Fans immediately hopped in on the giveaway with some saying the photo was from his 2004 movie Critical Assignment while other guessed it was his 1995 classic Violated.

A Nigerian man, who claims he landed at the Muritala Mohammed Airport few hours ago, says he has been picked up by men of the Department of State Services (DSS)  and taken to their office for questioning. Emeka whose facebook profile says he resides in Rockville, Maryland, alleges that being picked up by the security men is not unconnected to his constant criticism of the current government.


Emeka is the President/CEO of Eculaw and a member of a facebook group called The Due Process Advocate (DPA).

This is the story of Jerry, who claims to be a student of Obafemi Awolowo Univeristy, Ile-Ife, Osun State, and a member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. He recently went to visit a girl, Eniola, in her 
school and ended up stealing her laptop and a phone belonging to her friend.

After so much threats, Jerry, who sounded remorseful, reached out to Eniola via text message, to tell her that he doesn’t understand why he steals and that he has caused his mum, a whole lot of trouble. He said he’d be glad if Eniola could kill him.

But, last night, when a friend of Eniola went to his IG page to ask him to return what he stole, he quickly blocked her and all Eniola’s friends, he then deleted his pictures and set his page to private. He was however not smart enough to do same for his Twitter account. His pictures were retrieved from Twitter….. and he is now on course to be more popular than your favorite celebrity

An unidentified young lady has found herself in an embarrassing situation after her boyfriend discovered she had sent nude photos to his dad. The lady’s boyfriend decided to confront her and after initially denying anything happened, she finally confessed to having sex with his father. Ouch!

She went on to blame the father for being a very forward man and even tried to flip it around by saying he made her have sex with him.

Over the weekend, Iyanya, his manager, Ubi Franklin, 2face now called 2baba with his wife Annie, Kcee, E-money,Skibii,Empress Njamah and many other guests attended a wedding together. Apparently, it was E-Money’s wife’s younger sister, Chichi that got married to her sweetheart Okey. The reception was filled with love, music, fashion and money was sprayed by Iyanya, E-money and others. The men looked stylish in their agbada.

A twitter user Omadi tweeted that a man named Aaron Douye Audu, a PDP agent was killed by APC thugs in Bayelsa yesterday.He shared the pics of the deceased being carrying by his friends.He also shared pics of the deceased sisters crying because of the death of their brother.

He was allegedly murdered last night by political thugs in Southern Ijaw LGA, Bayelsa state. The 37-year-old from Apoi clan was allegedly killed while himself and other party agents were taking electoral materials from Apoi community to the collation center.


For the peeps in Bayelsa,is anybody aware of this incident or is the twitter user(who tweeted several pictures yesterday about the election and some of the result sheets after the election) trying to paint APC black?

A Nigerian man named Austin Nnaji lost his 1-day old baby.Surprisingly,he took to his Facebook page to announce the death of the baby. He shared a photo of when the baby was just born (above) and when she was being buried. He wrote

"RIP to my lovely angel olivia bethel. She was delivered through operation on 5th January 5pm and died on 6th January 5am all in this January 2016.. may her gentle innocent soul rest in peace amen. Olivia, daddy loves you but God knows the best for you and I miss you"

There is this belief that every person has an exact lookalike somewhere in the world and it appears singer Phyno may have found his.

Yesterday, the 2025 Glo-CAF awards took place in Abuja and Gabon striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the star of the night as he went home with the African footballer of the Year award, taking the crown from Yaya Toure who held the title for 4 years in a row.

While many are celebrating Aubameyang’s big win at the ceremony, Nigerians are more concerned with the striking resemblance between the 26-year-old footballer and rapper, Phyno.

Some of the fans believe the Gabon striker could be Phyno’s long lost brother while other are arguing he could pass for Phyno himself! One has to agree that the two share some similar features. In addition, their hair cut and skin complexion give them some form of likeness.

Protocols

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to this first meeting of the National Research and Innovation Council (NIRC) which was inaugurated on 18TH February, 2014.

I am aware that Nigeria must accord high priority to Science and Technology if it must take it rightful place among the leading economies in the modern world. Nigeria’s vision of becoming one of the twenty largest economies in the world by the year 2020 is only attainable when Science, Technology and Innovation are fully integrated into our national socio-economic development process. That process will now be fast tracked with the coming on board of this Council.

I wish to assure this Council of my determination and commitment to ensure that as a nation, we will invest appropriately in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) in order to guarantee our competitiveness both continentally and globally. Our goal to secure our nation, grow our economy, create jobs and fight crime can best be achieved if we embrace science and technology.

It is my fervent hope that our research and innovation output should be measured by number of Intellectual Property such as patents granted and not only by the number of articles published in scholarly journals. By this action, Nigeria will become a Centre of discoveries, inventions and innovation in all fields of science and technology. Before long we should be in a position to produce Nobel Laureates in the sciences.

The NRIC is geared towards coordinating and streamlining the nation’s research and development activities as well as fostering innovation. It is designed to accelerate the growth of innovation-based entrepreneurship in the country and to create conditions for the commercialization of current and further research findings in our universities and research institutes.
Your Council is also expected to reposition STI as a national priority to guarantee sustainability, high standard of living and quality of life for Nigerians as well as fast-track industrial and economic development. In this regard, the Council will meet quarterly to consider and take vital decisions on STI related issues.

Distinguished members of the Council, it is noteworthy that the government structure of the NRIC provides for the establishment of a Technical Advisory Committee (tac) consisting of technocrats from the various relevant MDAs and the Organized Private Sector (OPS) to ensure full implementation of resolutions of the NRIC.

TAC which is to be headed by the Hon. Minister of Science and Technology is expected to meet on a monthly basis. To carry out its functions the NRIC will be guided by the Strategic Implementation Plan of the revised policy on STI. I therefore wish to charge you all to use your best endeavour and wealth of experience to ensure that this big responsibility placed on you is discharged in the most effective and efficient way so that the tools of Science, Technology and Innovation are adequately deployed towards the development of our country.

I ask for your commitment, hard-work and total support in this endeavour in order to justify the confidence reposed in you. The country looks forward to you to be the spearhead of our technological progress and achievements.
