According to Chris Okafor World Outreach Ministries, the crusade held in Calabar had a rather bizarre case. During Chris Okafor‘s prophecy session, he stated that there was a woman at the crusade ground who had been offered N30,000 each for two of her lovely children, and that the woman was making plans to actually sell her children to raise money for business. Before he was done dishing out the woman’s details prophetically as he is fond of doing, the woman ran out from the crowd and affirmed everything that he had said. According to the Church, seeing as her case was beyond prayers, Chris Okafor after praying for her, asked how much she needed for business and she retorted “N30,000”. He then smiled and asked if it was okay to give her a hundred thousand naira (N100,000)… she was literally dumfounded. And indeed, right there and then, she got her own rather “financial deliverance” of N100,000! Chris Okafor, who has a tradition of financially and materially empowering very indigent widows and artisans every month through his Chris Okafor Humanity Foundation, has responded by saying that: “For me, giving is living. You know sometimes, people criticize me for raising too much offering, saying that I love money a lot. And I don’t blame people who say that, because they don’t know any better. I am often driven by my incredible passion to help the down and out in our society and aggressively advance the work of God. That’s why I don’t force people to give. It is not mandatory. You do it only if you feel like it. I believe that there is a lot of blessing attached to giving when you give into a ministry that puts that money to good use. And we do. I personally don’t need any of that money. Times without number I have told my congregation that I had never dipped a finger into our church money for whatever reason, and never will. And anybody who cares should carry an independent investigation into this matter. I am too blessed already. All that money is for God’s work, and a huge part of that work is helping our less privileged brothers and sisters in the best way that we can. At our church, we have so many people on scholarships from Primary to Tertiary institutions, we have resettlement programs for the homeless, we have feeding programs for the hungry, we have monthly empowerment programs where people are taught skills and financially empowered to live out their dreams, etc. That is the whole essence of my life and ministry…not just about Prophecy and Miracles.” The Calabar and Bonny Island crusades which drew literally tens of thousands of worshipers from far and near did not end without miraculous healings of all sorts and prophecies that left the crowd stricken with celestial awe. Under the administration of Presidenti Muhammadu Buhari, which is less than a year old, Nigeria has fallen off the list of fastest growing economies in the world. The list, which is compiled by Cable News Network, CNN, an independent observer, under their money show, CNNMoney, saw Nigeria leaving the list of top 5 fastest growing economies for 2016. India, Qatar, China, Philippines and Bangladesh made the list which was released over the weekend. India had a growth rate of 7.5%, while Qatar and China had growth rates of 7.1% and 6.8% respectively. Phillipines and Bangladesh followed with 6.7% and 6.3%. Last year,Nigeria made the list with a growth rate of 7.0%,behind China's 7.3% and Qatar's 7.1%. Nigeria is not the only country who fell off the list as Iraq which was 4th on the list with 6.7% growth rate in 2015 was also not on the list in 2016. Under the immediate past administration, Nigeria was also adjudged as having the largest economy in Africa. Many have chalked the decline of the Nigerian economy to the falling oil prices which hit record low at some point, the fall of the Naira as well as the country’s dwindling foreign reserves. Others have blamed the President for his lackadaisical attitude towards the economy, as almost a year later, he has yet to appoint an economic adviser. Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called out Buhari several times on his handling of the nation’s economy, while Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has continued to claim that the economic situation was under the President’s control. LOL. This is one of the funniest things you'll ever read. A brave set of downstairs neighbours who were worried about their upstairs neighbour's loud sex, have politely suggested that the young gentleman should, ‘Have sex on the floor or the couch.’ To show that they are not beefing him over the plenty sex he gets, they went as far as including condoms for him in the letter. The news that Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA, Abuja, had a flamboyant all-white yacht birthday celebration in Dubai, generated a lot of heated arguments and criticisms online last month. The pastor had now stepped up to give a comprehensive reason as to why the birthday took place in Dubai. He was forced to do this after he shared a story on his Facebook page and a man accused him of not practicing what he was trying to preach about. Here is the post that stimulated the convo: ” I found an interesting story this morning, and I thought to share with you; A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups – porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite, telling them to help themselves to hot coffee. When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: “If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving the plain and cheap ones behind. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other’s cups. Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn’t change. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it.” Family, “HE CAME THAT WE MIGHT HAVE LIFE”. Don’t be consumed by circumstances or situations around you, Focus on enjoying the “LIFE” Jesus has freely made available to you. Did you learn anything from this? Share with me.”… Source: http://www.trezzyblog.com/2016/03/pastor-fatoyinbo-of-coza-finally-gives.html
