1. The Prophets were enquiring for the Salvation in Christ.
2. The same Spirit that revealed to them ( the prophets) is the same Spirit in the time of the Apostles and still at work today .

3. Christianity didn't start from the Upper Room but from ages.

I heard one funny preacher that claimed God is not a Christian God or something like that. He missed it. The message from Genesis to Revelation is one and the same meandering through the course of history.
