Jonathan had Southerners as SGF and CoS. Buhari is only executing his own template as done by OBJ with Southerners in those same posts, Yar Adua with Northerners in those same posts, and Jonathan with Southerners in those same posts. No wrong then, no wrong now. I don’t even expect to see Fashola or Ngige or Amaechi in Jonathan's cabinet. They have all been successfully condemned as corrupt politicians by their own constituencies. Brace up for unknown men as ministers. We will remember the old order politicians for the sacrifice they paid for a new Nigeria by installing Buhari, but the only benefit for them will be the social amenities and infrastructural development that they refused to provide, which all will now enjoy without contract inflation or lack of due process in its award. Sai Buhari! |
menabadoo:You keep taking me back to questions I have answered many times over. Answer the questions put before you or find someone of superior intellect to occupy the ID and come debate me. |
menabadoo:Answer the simple question. Who did the Bini prince come to rule over? What tribe was that local population? We know the British, French, Spanish and Portuguese came to rule over Africa and Africans. Do you mean that Igboland is English land and the Igbos have only stolen the land from the British who actually met the Igbos there? Please give me a peek into the mind of an Igbo. |
SOUNDKING:Continue having fun. I can see that stoking hatred is a character trait. |
menabadoo:I am still waiting for your response. Who did the bini prince come to rule over in the farm settlement that history tells us was owned by an ife man called Ogunfunmire? If indeed a Bini prince came to lord over the natives, what tribe were those natives? Are those natives not the owners of their land? Is the present royalty of Eko/Lagos not traceable to this bini prince? So what exactly is your argument about ownership when nobody has cried foul over being dispossessed of their land (Yoruba natives) or of their royalty (bini heritage)? With my efforts to bring you out of the darkness of your ignorance, how does a Lagos State that encompasses the Ijebu in Epe and Ikorodu, Awori in Lagos, Ikeja, and Alimosho and parts of Badagry, and the Egun/Fon of Badagry, still be called a no-man's land? |
menabadoo:How does your determination to deny the Yoruba natives of their own land that even the Bini could not take, despite their lordship, change the reality that Lagos is Yoruba land? How does it make your quest for Biafra any feasible? Is there a link between Lagos and Biafra? Have you achieved some satisfaction this night from this argument? Do you feel you've achieved some feat when you fight with Yorubas? |
honourhim:And how has this hate propagation you call truth telling worked out for you so far? |
menabadoo:Then who did the bini come to rule over if it is not Yoruba land? |
menabadoo:I have already told you Eko is Eko. The name has its origins from the Benin. A heritage that has not been denied and that is widely acknowledged. The Yoruba know the land is theirs, the Bini know that their overlordship has since been expired by the consuming native population. What my concern is now is what the Igbo hope to gain by stoking hatred? As an Igbo, please enlighten me on the benefits of being hated where other tribes live in peace? Also what is the demerit of living peacefully? |
menabadoo:The world tried to move towards a civilised humanity called civilisation. Why are the Igbos still living in the past era of cavemen always willing to usurp peace. The world has no use for an Achilles. That era has long past. A man that minds his own business and is slow to anger is the enemy of an Igbo man. Why this character defect? |
menabadoo:What do Igbos derive from the sorrow that they crave for? What do you derive from being suicidal? Why must it always be Igbo migrants stoking hate where other migrants are peaceful and respectful? Why is the Igbo always spoiling for a fight on foreign land? |
menabadoo:slowpoke! Lagos Island is Isale Eko, not Eko. Eko which is Lagos includes Lagos Island, Ikoyi, VI, Ebute Metta. Lagos State comprises Eko/Lagos and the other areas that constitute it like Ikeja, Alimosho, Oshodi, Epe, Ikorodu, Badagry etc |
menabadoo:Can you tell me what you intend to derive from the violence? I know you love the Hausa people. You don't need to remind me. A tribe that calls everyone cowards must certainly have some sadistic traits. You love the way the Hausas give it to you. What a sorry way to live courting trouble everywhere. |
What a lame way of stoking hatred. |
I really don't know what the problem of the Igbo is. How can a tribe be so determined to be a nuisance to all it comes across really puzzles me till today. The Igbos in the North also thought they were having fun poking fun at the Northerners after the January 1966 coup. We all know how funny their laughter soon turned to sorrow. As for the question, that a migrant Bini prince ruled over the land populated by Yoruba natives already suggests who owns the land, who encroached, and whose superior population eventually consumed the other. Eko is Eko. The origins of the name is Benin. Eko which is Yoruba land is only a fraction of Lagos State. I hope you will blame Nnamdi Kanu when you make your lives miserable in Lagos. As usual, I will always give my condolences generously. |
The same section of Nigeria that rightly crucified their own politicians as thieves and corrupt so that they won't get federal appointments, are now lamenting the absence of these same politicians from the list of appointees. Ride on Buhari. Give us a better Nigeria with the saints you can find. |
Ernieman:Very wise Igbo politician. Yet his own people will foolishly hate him for this, but expect a federal presidency to be delivered to them on a platter. |
Passingshit:Every post from me that you don't like was a direct response to a hateful post, or my response to a hateful thread. I will keep on doing so without having to corrupt the spelling of a tribe or region because I had a good education, and I have my facts to back up my rejoinders. As such you will never catch me with childish spellings and tribal slurs. That you would even quote the slum post of mine and disregard the bigot I quoted only reveals the hypocrite that you are. I definitely put the animal in his place with facts and it hurt your feelings. Cry me a river. I hate people whining about not wanting to remain in Nigeria so I will always encourage them to leave than be a nuisance to others. Are they the only migrant tribe in Lagos? Yes, let the Igbos leave Lagos if they want to, we don't need them to stay. They are the ones who need Lagos. Let them lay claim to what is theirs while I lay claim to what is mine. I have no apologies for my spite for a hate-filled enemy living within us but who hate and deride their hosts wherever they live in Nigeria, and daily finds how to propagate hate allover Nigeria as a livelihood. Again, are they the only migrant tribe in Lagos? Why are others so peaceful and respectful? Have others challenged the speaking of Yoruba in a Yoruba state house of assembly? Have others requested that the state government must fund their own foreign ethnic festivals? It just had to be the Igbos. When in Rome behave like the Romans. What insolence! The scales have since fallen from my eyes. |
Passingshit:I can now see you're a joker. So my reply with accurate facts from a BBC documentary to a bigoted comment is what you lay claim too? Your misery has only begun with posters like me who will give shit for rotten eggs. The bigot I quoted was left speechless seeing his attempt at bigotry was eventually poking fun at his own miserable kin. I have no reason to regard the conquered Biafra. It was a rebel state that was obliterated by the Nigerian army. I am a Nigerian and my loyalty is certainly to Nigeria. To hell with Biafra. I am proud to say it anywhere. |
Not that I care to be politically correct. I have seen you quoting the post of a patriot defending the integrity of her country against the failed and conquered rebel state of Biafra as being bigoted. So out of curiosity, show me a post of mine that qualifies then we can take the debate from there. I'm always available to make sentimental cry babies cry the more. I have no apologies for being a Nigerian patriot and not a rebel from the East. |
obailala:You have said it all. I am embarrassed on their behalf. What a waste of education. |
WhiteTechnology:You woke up thinking about Yorubas? What a sorry life. |
huangcheng:Your questions are an easy puzzle if you can answer the following. What is an oil refinery doing in many countries that do not produce crude oil? What is the importance of the location of the buying consumer versus the location of the raw material? How do you suggest the many individual fractions of the crude oil if actually refined in the South, should be transported to the North where the buying consumers are located? Is the Kaduna refinery operated by the state government or by the same federal government agency that operates the refineries in the South? Are the staffing needs of the Kaduna refinery subject to the federal character principles the other refineries in the South are also subject to? Are the refined products from Kaduna refinery meant for consumption in the North or in the South? What is the risk and cost of vandalism for 1pipeline of crude oil versus many pipelines of individual crude oil fractions? |
The name was once a staple for the likes of City People, Fame and Encomium. Grace to grass. Money go woman go. |
HungerBAD:QED! |
Happiness87:Please face front. You're not mature or intelligent enough for this discussion. Every debate is not about tribe you know? I have no problem with what is being celebrated on this thread. |
EgunMogaji:Dude I have already admitted that me quoting you was a waste of words because they were directed at Nigerians waiting for foreigners to bring them civilization which is what I wrongly assumed from your post. Neither did I assign myself any entity nor status, so that you continue to belabour the point is really of no concern to me. You on the other hand did not have any audience planned for your posts. They were mere lamentations borne out of the frustration of seeing a competitor investment thrive. You were only looking out for your family's livelihood. I congratulate for that. That I prefer to have a local player in the retail sector also compete makes me a close minded nitwit and I wear it as a badge of honour. |
EgunMogaji:The same way your post was irrelevant to the topic and to the milestone recorded by Akwa Ibom state and shoprite. You were only expressing your frustration as a person of interest with a competitor retailer, as such they were just sour grapes. I wish shoprite well with its monopoly, till local investors wake up. |
SLIDEwaxie:Exactly! I'll ask my little niece to mint me 10Billion of Biafran pounds using her crayon. |
Take it to the bank and reveal your stupid.ity. |
EgunMogaji:You should have told us you're more of a foreigner with foreign interests, I wouldn't have wasted my words on you. My words were directed at Nigerians waiting for foreigners to bring them civilization. |
