i spoke to my doctor about the possibility of an induction at 37 weeks he asked why I wanted it which I told him and he said I should see him this week to discuss more but right now I don’t think I want it anymore because of the risk of complications I’ll just wait.

You should still discuss with him...then make your decision afterwards.

Meanwhile the question about the likelihood of a CS following a VD attempt is because emergency CS is harder than a planned CS. So if it will end up in CS anyways its better to just do elective where everything is planned and controlled.

Madam sussie has said what i wanted to say.
Elective CS done at 37 weeks (early term) is because of the risk waiting longer poses to the mum and the baby.....for cases of previous myomectomy the risk of a uterine rupture if the woman goes into labour.
I'd suggest you start seeking natural ways of falling into labour when you hit 37 weeks and if the baby doesn't show before 39 then you can go for induction.
Although you can still discuss with your doctor cos some might not even consider induction until you are full term (40weeks)

Thanks. I'm considering them so I joined their Facebook group. Did you use them with success? Was it with OE?

I sort of used them....they try to get you pregnant naturally before resorting to IVF..so after consultation and tests done they prescribed antibiotics to be used by both of us and they advised to try to get pregnant naturally for at least 3 months. Thankfully I got pregnant before having to go IVF way.
My friend I introduced did IVF and it was successful the first trial.

Thanks my darling cappo! Hope you're doing great? So what he was saying was that with plus sized preggos, monitoring fetal heart beat and contractions during labour is harder and with the slight bp issues I have, they would need to monitor me as well as possible. I guess what makes the decision harder is that he is still saying I can opt for vaginal birth, as there are no strong indications that I can't go for that. As for after care, in between my husband and my mum, I should be fine if I opt for CS...just worried about having to spend time recovering as opposed to spending time with my baby and being active.

Unfortunately we don't have those transducers they put on the tummy to monitor fetal heart rate like they do abroad...this would have been a non issue.
I think you should ask the probability of the labour process leading to an emergency CS...from there you can make your decision.
Youd still spend time with your baby regardless. I started breastfeeding my baby immediately I was out of the theatre, only that they had to hand the baby to me cos I was lying on my back in the recovery room. And at the moment the only thing I'm not doing is bathing her cos my MIL is doing that.
But not to downplay it, CS is a major surgery and your body will feel it but if that's the solution to a healthy mother and child dont hesitate to opt for it.

*My only wahala with this CS is not having a shower for 2 weeks *

Also, at my last appointment, the Gynae said he is considering CS for me because of my weight and slight bp issues. However, after a scan we saw that my baby weighed 2.7kg (36 weeks) and he said I should be able to have a vaginal birth. Though he made it clear that he would prefer for me to opt for CS because the stress of vaginal birth might be too much for someone with my weight and slightly high bp. While I am not totally against CS, I am a little worried about the recovery period when compared to vaginal birth. Any advice for me please?

Although I would have thought that with a higher weight will come a bigger pelvic area and easier vaginal delivery...pls follow doctors recommendations.
Ask as many questions as necessary to help ease your fears and concerns. I'm 9 days post CS and the only serious pains I had was from degenerating fibroids...the incision area is pain free (except when they clean it with spirit). But youd need help with care afterwards....someone to help you clean your incision site with spirit and do stuff around the house as you aren't supposed to lift anything heavier than your baby.

Normally I do start my period 6months after childbirth. Is it going to start that same time now that my baby is late? or I should expect it anytime? pls experience mamas should help. I just want to know when to start trying again as is not easy. Thanks

Ovulation comes before period. So if you are ready to try again start and don't wait for the period to start first.
I pray you get a bfp not a period.

Yes she is still bleeding.

During each visit to the clinic BP is checked and they have not said there was any issues. And she doesnt have swollen feet.

For the post-op I assum is the first visit after delivery.
She was supposed to go for check up on the 3rd day but was not able for some reasons. But she will be going for the next check up on the 6 weeks which is 1st week of January.

She might need to check her pcv (blood level). That's what my GP asked that I do.
Since she's having that kind of issue, dont wait for 3 weeks to see a doc.

I'm in sort of a similar place as your wife...chest pains but mine came with swollen feet and it started today.
Spoke with my GP and I'm now monitoring my BP and id check my PCV tomorrow hopefully.

Has she done post-op visit with the gyne? Is she still bleeding?

I have a problem of loss of smell and tastelessness.. I can't perceive anything, neither can I taste anything in my mouth, everything I eat is just bland..

Pls oo, does pregnancy cause tastelessness and loss of smell, or does catarrh cause it, bcs catarrh has been disturbing me since last week. This tastelessness started on Friday. Pls help ooo, some people are saying its coro oo..

Pls who has experienced this before? I'm in my 9th week of pregnancy. FTM
