Family / Re: He Beat-up His Elder Sister For His Wife by Sugardiva(f): 8:31pm On Jan 16, 2013
I believe a man should stand up for his wife at all times and against his own family members if need be because any threat to his wife is a threat to his own self, but I don't think a man should beat up a woman so violently be it his wife or sister in defense of any body. He should have just prevented his sister from entering the house and causing trouble and then try to settle the matter later when tensions are not so high.
But sha this story doesn't quite add up for me, feels like there is a part of it we don,t know.

The difference is joesph did not want to disobey God and betray his master's trust. I think he had strength of character and had his emotions more under control than Samson did. Another reason is that Joseph when faced with temptation ran away. But Samson stayed with temptation until it overcame it. The lesson here to me is to know ur weakness. When Faced with temptation run. Don't try to fight it or overcome it or outsmart it just run!

Nice pics. Carnirivs is mproving, it's looks better than it was last year. I don't think d carnival culture in Nigeria is forced especially for a tourism inclined city like calabar. Carnivals may be imported culture but we in calabar have blended it with ours very well and are getting fun, economic growth and positive international exposure out of it so it's welcome.

Carnival Calabar: Africa's biggest street party is tomorrow. If u ain't in Cali city for dis event u're on a long thing. smiley
Entertainment / Re: Which Of This Is Nigerian Dance Of The Year? by Sugardiva(f): 11:07am On Dec 24, 2012
@ OP Kukere is not a dance. Its just a song by inyanya n it means 'don't worry'.
Etighi means 'okro'. Its a cali dance step where d hips of d dancer moves very slippery n flexible like okro. And last I checked kokoma is a song n not a dance as well.

I wld vote azonto buh since its nt a nigEerian dance ill go wit etighi.

Romance / Re: What Do Girls Do When They Like A Guy by Sugardiva(f): 7:18pm On Nov 19, 2012
A lady who is interested in a man will stare at him a lot and try to avert her eyes when caught. That's a good tell tale sign. Women need to be a bit more engaging with men especially wit total strangers. Here'S a short story.

A friend of mine will be getting married to a nice dude next month. How did they meet? They sat next to each other on a local flight and she greeted him and asked if she could read the newspaper he had in his hands. That simple gesture started a convo btw them. Her fiancé admits that he didn't notice her and never will have if she had not asked for the paper as he was tired and had planned to sleep trough out the flight. But her asking for the paper led to an engaging conversation which led to him getting her number and wooing her which is nw leading to their marriage.

However ladies, let's keep our signals subtle cos truth be told I don't think there's a man alive mature enough to handle u pursuing him. When push comes to shove he will say u came to him on ur hands and knees begging to have him. So give out little signals and be subtle about it.

The reason why Nigeria cannot move forward is our unfortunate tendency to lend credence to the racists theory that the black race is but a part of animal kingdom. What would make anyone feel they have the right to take the life of another human being.? In such a cruel way? We have lost our humanity. We are no better than the barbarians the slave traders called us for people to do this and for people to come on here on NL and support it. Before God and in the eyes of the law the boys may be guilty of theft but the mob is guilty of murder. Which is a greater evil?

tobechi20: I totaly disagree wit u, if ur enemy's enemy is ur friend then ur l lovers friend shud be ur .....

Du u know that atimes, a true friend could act as a middle man between u two....he can strenghten ur relationship.

I used to be close to my best friend galfriend..,we talk about how he loves her, misses her and cares 4 her.... I even lie that he thinks of marrying her

there was a day they were at the point of breaking up becos she saw a message in the guys phone....i had to lie to her that i put my sim card in his phone and sent the message....,,they reconciled back...

It depends on haw gud the friend is and his motive,.

Exactly why u shldnt be too close to ur partners friends. U get to trust them but when push comes to shove they will betray u to protect ur partner. Be nice to them, hang out wit dem sometimes but never get too close.

The woman certainly was wrong in allowing her emotions overide her senses. But pray tell is it just me or am I missing something? There is NO BASIS upon which dis woman shld be arrested. Her stupid actions are at best simple defamatory libel so on what charge would d police say she was arrested? This woman has nt committed a crime. Smh for nigeria. @ OP uve got a good body if u wanna model. U appear tall thats a plus. But ur dressing is definitely a no no and the background of d pic is terrible. U said u didnt want us to check out d background just d pic but dont u knw the backeground is a part of d pic? A very important part too.

So Next time, consult someone for better clothes ensemble, pay attention to ur background (it matters a lot) and show ur face. The face is a window to the soul.

Hmmm i tire o. The couple did the wedding on the spur of the moment with only few friends and family. i liked the simplicity of the whole affair. If Mrs Zuckerberg isnt complaining who is Linda Ikeji to complain? Abegi! But sha its her job to gossip and she says stuff like dis just to get attention. After all bad publicity is still publicity.

Av u also consider d tym?..........@OP....if u wnt to save urself some stress in d nearest future in respect of ur academic career, pls go on and acquire d certificate and don't let urself be confused
further........I so rest my case......Abanic.

Are u sure about this? My Sister has a BSC in economics and did NIM during her service year but was required to do a PGD before doing her MBA in Management.

Anyways at OP, no knowledge is lost. You can do this to add value to urself not necessarily to boost ur CV. Its cheap so there's nothing to loose. I read somewhere to invest at least 3 percent of ur income in self development evry year to acheive greater personal results.
