A shameful protest of youths against the EFCC in Rivers State was organised by all 23 LGA's. The annoying issues about the protest are inscriptions like. EFCC leave us alone, we are not the only state in Nigeria. Our governor/commissioners/chairmen are innocent.

Hello nairalanders,  am sharing this topic with tears of joy. looking at the family album, i saw my mums graduation pics some years back and now she will be retiring in 8months time having served as a teacher for neary 35yrs. How time flys, one could not but thank God for all he has done for my mum. Inspite of all she went through without a husband (quite rich but never a kobo from him) and any family relative helping her.   

What can i do to make her retirement so memorable for hers. Good suggestion will be appreciated

Been a tenant is an experience. I own a house and i collect one year Rent. i decised to collect one yr rent because i understand the situation pple find themselve when looking for house. The irony of the whole issue is that. my tenants whom i collect one year rent finds it so difficult to even pay their rent. most landlord decide to collect 2yrs rent cos they don,t want to ask the tenants for rent after yr one which gives the tenant enough time to safe towards their rent. what is uppermost is living in a nice and peaceful environment.

In life, you have the good and the bad. maybe an inspection agent collected money from you does not mean they are all cheaters. if it were possible to carry houses about, agents would not exist. one word of advice, strive to have your own house. we have cheaters in every sector. police, army, politics etc.

Hello nairalander, is there any situation you would never want to find yourself doing.
I accompanied a friend to the mortuary. while we were their, the mortury attendants ask for help. Having boosted to my friend earlier that am not afraid of dead bodies decided to act brave and followed the attendant. Fellow nairalanders the rest is History because i woke up in the clinic. My friend said i black out when i saw too many dead bodies. what situations/experiences you never wish to find yourself.

U dont have to do that. why not engage her online and tell her once she comes home u would tight the knots. dat why you would know if she is really ready to settle down with you.

Nigeria police would stop at nothing just to extort money. A student was cycling home after school. few minutes latter he was arrested. what was his crime? bicycles according to the police should not be used on high ways.Thats the very reason okada was stop.

In Japan people enjoy cycling to work to avoid heavy traffics.Cycling keeps the body fit and does not pollute the environment with C02.

Taxi/bus drivers spend reasonable amout of money on police. If the police want to include bicycle riders in this categories the public should be inform.

Hi room, sometimes i wonder if our culture would survive the next generation. My wife bought a layer Hen and left it to roam round the compound. our neigbours children came back from school and Starter shouting, mummy, mummy vulture vulture. all attempt to tell them its a (fowl) hen proof abortive. same incident when i took my cousins children to the village. They saw a goat with horns and shouted mummy mummy this Dog have horns. what would happen to our culture in the next generation.
