laudate: This is a list of people who worked at Osibona's construction site. Can't you see Muslim names among them? So why is Prof Kperogi spreading false claims?
They are Yunusa Abubakar, Ajiboye Habib, and Ndajor Ahmed. One of the ladies that died on the construction site was a youth corper called Zainab Sanni. Wasn't she a Muslim? So what is Prof Kperogi talking about? He is on the payroll to disrupt the peace in the SW. You will think that a professor that is trained to write critical articles based on academic research, citation and analysis would have researched the diversity of employees working in Femi Osibona doomed company before he came up with this nonsense article. His intention is clear and precise, to create chaos among the Yoruba people, a divided people are easily subjugated. |

We don't roll like that in Yorubaland and we will never roll like that. This is one thing we have going for us, from which the rest of the world can learn from. We will resist whoever wants to bring religious bigotry and fanaticism to Yorubaland. To all the kperogis and Ishtak Akintolas, you are doomed to fail. They will not rest until SW become another basket case like Northern Nigeria. With extremist kidnapping minority and backward sharia law undermining liberal progressive law. They want to transform the SW into the subservient middle belt, such as Kwara and Kogi where the Non-Fulani Muslim majority are subjugated by the Fulani overlord, education becomes an afterthought and poverty and ignorant become prevalent. Keep your faith in your homes, Nigeria is still a secular democracy. |

What you can say is they are a tiny minority who cannot be used to define the generality of Christians who are Yoruba. Do you think the so-called Bishop Oyedepo and the many fake Christain leaders in the SW represent Yoruba interest? NoSentiment: By Farooq A. Kperogi
It is Yoruba Muslims who are required to downplay or hide their religious identity in the interest of an overarching Yoruba identity because, over the last few decades, Christianity has been rhetorically constituted in the popular imagination as a core constituent in the construction of Yoruba identity. That’s why prominent Yoruba Muslims almost always have to invoke their connection to Christianity to fit in.
The late Gani Fawehinmi always had a need to show that his wife was a Christian. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has a need to strategically let it be known that his wife isn’t only a Christian but a deacon. House of Representatives Speaker Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila concealed his Muslim identity until he needed the support of the Muslim North to become Speaker. After the fact, his handlers played up the fact that his wife and his mother are Christians.
Prince Bola Ajibola, one of Africa’s finest jurists who happens to be a devout Muslim, doesn’t openly bear Abduljabar, his Muslim name—unlike his father who bore Abdulsalam as his first name—perhaps, not being married to a Christian, it was his only way to reassure his Christian Yoruba brothers and sisters that he is Yoruba. Yet, he is so strong in his Muslim faith that he established the Crescent University, one of Nigeria’s first private Islamic universities, in his hometown of Abeokuta. I doubt Farooq Kperogi is aware that every Yoruba family have a healthy mix of Muslims and Christians. Hence marriage between Muslims and Christain will always be a common occurrence. |

Munamu: This Prof is only igniting fire where it is not necessary. This write up is one sided and uncalled for. During the hijab saga in kwara, his write up was in support of his religion. Anyone can decide on who works in his organization based on what should be the yardstick. Bringing religious sentiment is Petty and selfish. He should have been general in his observation rather than limiting himself to Christianity. Afterall things like this common in Northern Nigeria where Christian's are in the minority. Chief, this is not the first time he has directed his attack against SW political and social, one of his past recent articles was about the secret financial funder of Boko Haram and he was implying that SW political elites might be involved. The subject was supposed to be about the corruption within the Yoruba elite that supported Femi Osibona how it turned into the division between Yoruba Muslims vs Christain is beyond me. There is no doubt that Farooq and his backers have ulterior motives. |

Rent - N700,000 Agency fee @ 20% = N140,000 Legal fee @ 10% = N70,000 Caution deposit =N70,000

We haven't been able to successfully handled anything in this country. Most of these buildings are deathtraps.
In other countries, you'd find buildings that were built hundred of years ago and are still standing.. fkj950ax: Assumption and generalization are the lowest form of objective discourse.
Less than 0.5% of high rise buildings in Nigeria have collapsed. There are buildings in Nigeria built years ago still standing.
Even in developed countries, high rise collapses. This is a report of a building that collapsed in 2021 in Florida, USA. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-57592827
Don't throw the baby and the bath water away. One collapse in Ikoyi cannot represent the whole of Nigeria. Here we go again with Whataboutism. This is supposed to be a so-called highbrow part of Lagos, yet there are no building standards, because they are failing in Europe and USA , we should also fail in Nigeria. I don't know about Nigeria, but the building standards in Lagos is appalling and that can be linked directly to Tinubu and his governors. |

Travel › Re: Life In Germany: What Is It Like For Nigerians Who Migrated? by sulaak(m): 5:17pm On Oct 27, 2021 |
OBUKOMENA: Good evening nairalanders! I hope you had a good day?
So, let me just go straight to my reason for opening this thread, and I hope I would be able to convey my thoughts impeccably:
It seems like some of our people who travelled to Germany aren't doing so well after all (I stand to be corrected, though!) I have a friend over there whom I am preparing to go meet. This guy has been there since 2017. He hardly calls me on normal call. He would rather call on WhatsApp. Reason being so that he could get in touch cheaply. The first and only time I asked him to send me something, he told me pointblank he didn't have. Just this afternoon, I heard a colleague's father just came back to Nigeria from there after 21 solid years! He had abandoned his wife and children here in Nigeria. If he was doing so well over there, would he not have arranged for his family to come over and stay with him - at least?
I have been worried, even before I heard this colleague's father thing: I don't know what I am going to meet at the friend's place; I don't know what life is like over there - how to cope in a non-English speaking environment. I don't know how long it's going to take me to make it over there and reconnect with my family. This news about my colleague's dad also increased my worries.
So, I decided I would come on here to ask: Aren't these red flags as regards traveling over there, especially with the hope that when i get there, after 2-3 years, I would bring in my family. Anyone here knows about life in Germany? It took me the best part of 2 years to settle down in the UK and I already had a British passport, a university degree from (UI ) and spoke English. You can't be an overnight success in another country it takes hard work and sacrifice. |

Let us see what they will chop in the proper Law School.
APC IMO NEC Legal Adviser, Barrister Uzukwu Patrick Eze cried bitterly, he wrote angrily :
The Council of Legal Education that regulates the training of lawyer's in Nigeria must investigate the nonsense going on in the Faculty of law of some private Universities in Nigeria.
The award of law degrees to Senator Dino Melaye and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah by BAZE UNIVERSITY is a disgrace and must be thoroughly investigated.
Dino purportedly gained admission into BAZE University in 2019.
Every public and private University were shut down the whole of 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Council of legal education require a law student to spend a minimum of4- 5 years in the University before you acquire a law degree.
On what planet will someone acquire a law degree after spending less than one year of studies in school except in Nigeria and at BAZE University.
To the best of my knowledge Senator Ifeanyi Ubah didn't attend a formal secondary school.
He spent his secondary school time in Gabon as a trader.
Now he's a law graduate with Second Class upper.
This is utterly despicable.
