Your analogy does not apply to an academic environment. But even if we are to go there, there are two scenarios

1. I stop work and the project is paused, whenever i resume you, i continue from where i paused the project and you will pay me for the work i am doing

2. I stop work, the project continues because you hired another person to continue the job, whenever i resume, you will pay me from the point i resumed.. no one in his or her right senses will demand pay for a job done by someone else

In summary, you don't get it and will never get it, so leave matter for those that can comprehend....

I schooled in a public university and i withness ASUU strike first hand. The lecturers always come back to class rooms to rush students and the school also shorten there calendar and give like a week holiday between semesters. So it still doesn’t justify the fact that the lecturer will do six month work in 2 months and now collect 8 months salaries with 2 month job

To me ASUU is fighting too many battles for others that are not grateful, ASUU should simply focus on federal Universities and leave others to fight and fend for themselves.

ASUU declared a strike in February 2022.

The union, however, stood its ground and claims not to shift grounds until all of its demands are met.

Meanwhile, the union president kept referring to how the government has seized their salaries to influence their decisions and stance.

This is the month of September 2022 and the government has met more than 60% of the union demands.

All the striking unions already called off strike the past month after a brief meeting with the government.

ASUU has refused to call off the strike because the Federal government is not willing to pay them their 6 months salary arrears.

They've however been very tactical with the strike time frame. At first, they declared one month strike, then kept increasing the time frame while making it look as if they were willing to call off the strike in good faith.

They declared an indefinite strike after the government had met 60% of their frivolous demands.

Before the federal government thinks about paying the union their 6 months arrears, think about the effect it will have.

ASUU is known for declaring strikes every year because they often get paid before they resume back to class.



Where is it done that a union will declare 6 months strike, and still be expecting a salary for work not done?

There is without a doubt that the union has lost the sympathy of 80% of most Nigerians, and the only thing stopping students from declaring them public enemy No.1 in the educational sector is because of "fear"

If the federal government decides to pay them today, nothing will stop them from declaring a 3-5 years strike tomorrow!!!



ASUU is failing to realize that nobody is happy with the present-day government.

Declaring over 3 months of strike while expecting pay for work not done is selfish, and unjustifiable.

In a sane world, a union is expected to press its demands for a maximum of 3 months before resuming back to classes.

Before declaring an indefinite strike; the union claim they are not going to make up for the lost months if the government fails to pay them

No matter what happens, students will always be at the receiving end.

During our time, lecturers were so inconsiderate after calling off 4 months ASUU strike. They started exams immediately as if we were the cause of the strike/fight.

The bolded part has always been the tradition of ASUU. They don't make up for all the lost months.

"ASUU claims the strike is a sacrifice for the generation to come." They should also be willing to sacrifice their one-year salary for the generation to come.

Paying ASUU will mean more subscriptions to more strikes in the nearest future.

Not paying them their 6 months strike will make them more reasonable before declaring another strike in the nearest future,
(II) It will enable them to give more listening hears to what the government has to offer quicker, rather than standing on what they want!

There is nothing like work not done in the university academic system, because whenever the strike is called off all those semesters and session paused will be resumed and concluded before a new session is started.

So the work is still done, except when those semesters and sessions are cancelled that is when work is not done

I know what I'm saying because as a single, I know the expenses I incure not to talk of when the number increases. I'm not saying we are going to remain at a level but the naira no longer has value. Under 2 weeks 100k is gone except you want to be forgoing so many things that make life comfortable and who doesn't want comfort?

Even if you earn 200k, expenses will still finish it within 2wks...

I'm in a very stable relationship and as a matter fact, I'll be getting married to the love of my world, the one whom my heart continuously long for daily in next month.

Nevertheless, there's this lady whom happened to be an old friend for about 2 years now. We've been very close chat buddies and virtually could discuss anything online to each other (I mean anything). On one occasion, she suggested we meet up at my place to watch a movie Twilight together. Well, since I wasn't doing anything in particular for the weekend and my fiance wasn't in town, why not? (Trust me, my intents was pure and genuine).

The Saturday came, and we did have a lovely time together until the devil struck. One thing led to another and we both ended up kissing and eventually had sex. I wasn't careless not to have not used a protection but I could remember the condom coming off at a Point and was quickly replaced with another new one. Trust me guyz, we both felt bad immediately after the incident and both apologized to one another and that was it.

Fast forward to the present, I got a call from her for the first time after that incident (I had to cut off all communication with her after what happened) and she broke the news to me that she was feeling a little different which prompted her to go do a test, and to my greatest shock, she said it came out positive, SHE IS PREGNANT!!!

How is this even possible? We made our precisely on the 30th of July and the test results shows she's about 2weeks pregnant (Note: the test results shows it was carried out on the 12th of August. Moreover, I never even released when the condom came off into her and we had to remove it. How is it possible?

Now, the mother called and even asked to see me in person that, the daughter already explained all that ensued between us, and I should come and let's discuss our next move, that no daughter of hers gives birth outside wedlock.

In all these, I am so confused. The honest truth is, I never told the lady in particular I was getting married in the month of September. My wife to be does know her as just a friend and that's all but kept my wedding plans away from the lady despite how opened we were to each other.

Nairalanders, I am so confused. I have cried, begged her, pleaded with her to come clean with me, but she insists I was the only one she meet within that time frame. Even in the presence of her mother, she kept asking her, are you sure? She kept insisting I was the only one she had sex with last month.

Could the pregnancy be truly mine? Do I come clean to my babe? Do I just runaway? So many questions and I am deeply depressed and sad on how I got myself into the terrible mess. At this moment, I deserve whatever insults is thrown at me. I truly deserve them, BUT I NEVER FOR ONCE DOUBT my love for my wife to be, I truly love her...

PDE is not recognised as a postgraduate programme, NUC does not recognise it.
You cannot use it to acquire a masters degree. Colleges of Education running it are just using it to make money. It is better you go for a PGDE if you have aspirations to further.

That stadium has the best pitch quality in the south east. Only the Enyimba stadium in Aba has something close to it. Hopefully, it will start by hosting age-grade football competitions for our male and female national teams since the SE has been overlooked in hosting such games with the usual excuse of bad pitches. Gradually it will be improved upon. Gov Willie Obiano is undoubtedly the best governor in the history of Anambra state. We have expectations that Prof Chukwuma Soludo will surpass him though.

Hey guys, hope y'all good.

So there's this wound on my big toe, which developed by itself, just like that. I've been suffering this injury for more than a year now.

I've taken many medications and treatments, all to no avail. I've met 4 deferent doctors, who apparently do not know what that is or how to treat it, they just dress it and prescribe some medicine, and that's it.

I just discovered recently that it's an Ingrown Toenail, after some research on the internet. And according to what I read, it needs a surgery to remove the Ingrown Nail, but all the doctors I've met do not know what an Ingrown Toenail is, and they usually tell me that it doesn't need a surgery.

Guys pls, this thing is really painful. I can't even walk properly with it. If you are a doctor here who knows about this, I beg you to not ignore this post

It is ingrown nail, very painful stuff especially when infected, and quite difficult to heal. Mine was caused by constant wearing of shoes, was given an option of surgical removal or be careful with they type of shoes i wear, and trim the nail properly..
I went with the later option and since then it has not returned..

Yours seems infected, your doctor needs to place you on antibiotics, and also avoid water from touching it so that it dries up and heal properly
