Ebubu: am sure it will happen next week since we are already weekend E no go reach that stage... The court ruling today is clear, ASUU has to call off if it wants to appeal, so the strike will be called off conditionally, so that they can appeal.. The main thing is that the FG and ASUU should reach an agreement because if not, the strike may resume if the court of appeal finds that NICN erred |
Education › Re: Appeal Court Orders ASUU To Call Off Strike by sultan003(m): 11:34pm On Oct 07, 2022 |
Conditional technicality, the matter is not over yet. It all depends on FG and ASUU having a memorandum of agreement..
ASUU will call off, if it wants to appeal, the question is what happens after appeal?
If there is no agreement between ASUU and FG na back to square one again... |

Soldier go soldier come but barracks still remain
Them no day beg sheet to smell What you don't understand is that the issues will still be there and those new lecturers employed to replace the old ones will still go on strike months down the line and we will be back to square one... |

ArewaNorth: Then you need to see the picture in an honest way. There are big issues in the university system, it is better a solution is found now, otherwise strike will still occur months down the line. The people running the system are still the same FG and not ASUU, if they cannot manage it they should privatise Otherwise it seems like what people want is a situation of garbage in and garbage out, where anything goes |

CONUA That is talking what will they do differently from ASUU that will make Govt to work? These are lecturers still suffering from the same poor welfare abi? Or you want to tell me that they will pretend as if everything is okay? So far the FG fails the address these issues, one way or the other the university will be affected Anyway make we dey watch |

ArewaNorth: You can't lecture me or tell me anything about the system that I worked and got promotion as academic staff in. If they have the gut to confront FG why can't they tackle the VCs for their internal issues. I have seen hypocrisy to the highest order. The corruption is immense, man! I work in the same system at a high level so i speak from experience |

ArewaNorth: Fighting a just cause? You are either defending them in ignorance or selfish. ASUU is so coward, hypocritical for knowing the deep corruption in Universities and surreptitiously asking FG to set panel and deal with it. Why can't they confront the VCs when they very well know where the problem is? Are VCs not ASUU members? You can't even be VC if u aren't ASUU member. I swear to God, there is no place with highest number of ghost workers like Nigerian university. Buhari has done limitless damage to their cult syndicate pretending to be innocent. There is one university I know that have more than 2k ghost workers and had no choice that to connive with the office of AGF we are accusing of corruption and covered it by blindly employing large number of employees and back dated their offer letters to not later than April, 2020 when Buhari asked IPPIS to stop registering new employees in Universities (when all enrolment and capture was carried out and ordered to stop). The misinformation and deception in Nigeria is second to none! Please read the universities act very well then come and rephrase your comment.. In those cases ASUU has complained about several VCs what did the FG do? We have not seen EFCC or ICPC investigate a governing council because they know many politics will be implicated. Where is the report of the visitation panels? Why is it taking them almost two years to release it? |

amerengues: Quite laughable!
We are in this together. The schaderfreude on you people's face when ASUU is tackled is amazing. This same conua chairman was asked what their union will do differently, the couldn't answer well. We don't need proliferation of union.
Anyways, letss see if ASUU members will join ... let's see how CONUA will proceed.. Is it not the same federal university that they are operating from? As if all the problems will magically disappear. Is it not the same FG? Two months down the line CONUA and co will be fustrated back to square one |

openmine: So after this hapless and mindless stunt has been pulled by the FG,will they now rehabilitate the dilapidated universities under the breakaway ASUU faction CONUA? FG is basically saying that everybody should go and form their own union, from Law academics, to Engineering academics and so on.. FG will still complain when all these unions come out and demand for a specific welfare tailored to their own needs. In the End, it is the federal universities that will suffer.. I just sent them a mail though. I am waiting for the day to break so I can put a call across.
This is ridiculous honestly. 15k to pay 19.5k in just 14days. I can't take it. They will not respond, they will pretend as if they did not see your emails, this is an opportunity to make profit and you have been ensnared into their trap. So it is either you close your eyes and do the following Pay back the money with interest, pay back the original amount and watch the interest grow or do not pay at all and get ready for defarmation. If you know what you just ensnared yourself into you won't be making silly mistakes that can kill you |

what this means if nasu who are responsible for audit, will audit and send to AG on 10th september and be paid for September salary ending this month. So why are they complaining one month after they called off? Are you aware that they don't even go to work? For the audit matter, well make i no talk |
