starrez: What about people who aren't ready to relocate fully? Since they say no soft landing for now? You must be ready to settle down for you to travel now. If your COPR expires then you'll go through the rigorous process of getting renewal. I know someone whose COPR expired in April. He has not been able to get authorization to travel nor renewal. The guy is frustrated because they are not responding |

joselum: Hello!
Please do you know anyone that has landed in Canada in the last two weeks?
My COPR will expire soon too. AVO frustration made me exit all groups I was on... Chai, I don't have access to the landing gists again. The last one I read was about two weeks ago, he said he was airborne when he opened his mail box to the don't travel yadda yadda... mail. Fear catch husband and wife but no turning back. They landed in Toronto and he got the welcome to Canada greetings. No hassles at all. He mentioned he traveled via Ethiopian airline and to avoid Turkish airline. Go to the other thread and ask questions. I mean the living in Canada thread. No allow your COPR expire please o |

uche13: The problem is the fact that people who were issued PPr after March 18th cannot travel at the moment. Last week, I even received a mail and call from IRCC as a reminder to this effect.
The order was "don't travel yet till restrictions are lifted" I'm sorry... Just seeing this. To the best of my knowledge, people have been traveling/landing in Canada, even those issued PPR and COPR after March 18. |

frailbuzz: ood morning house, please is there anyone here who was issued COPR after March 18th that has landed in Canada?
My COPR will expire by the end of November. If there is any WhatsApp or telegram group or personal experience I can get information from, it will be really appreciated. Let me add to others: DO NOT ALLOW YOUR COPR TO EXPIRE. Having said that, go and buy tickets if you haven't and land. People that have expired COPR dey hear am now, IRCC "never pick their calls" for extension. |

Business › Re: IGI Refuses To Give Me My Money by SunshineD1: 1:42pm On Aug 10, 2020 |
Shinatu: I made a request to terminate my life insurance policy with IGI in February this year Up till now, I have not been given my money, I have not even been contacted at all, everytime I call I hear the same story that I would be contacted.
I cannot imagine what one would go through if one was to make a claim, if just closing your policy is this stressful.
Someone told me to contact NAICOM, I could not get an e-mail address on their site and I have been trying the telephone numbers I found. i may have to try the fax number to fax my complaints to them
Does anyone in the house know what is best to do?These guys collected my money regularly for about 7 years, now it's taking forever for them to pay up! Hi, I just came across your post. Were you eventually paid? |

uchejudos: Yes I actually did public health ; I have about 5 years of experience So asides from tailoring I have my academic qualifications I don't understand. I thought you graduated in 2018, abi I no read am well? If yes, how come the 5 years experience, or were you schooling and working? You can run either Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) or the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC). Like I said, so many materials online. Know the requirement and whether you qualify. Then determine the cost at each stage. All the best |

uchejudos: Hi ; I actually read through and was on the page for over 6 hours : I don’t know how to explain but try and understand me Someone introduced me to this trend ; that I should read and get back to him ; I did ; I have checked my NOC and then did that eligibility test by inputting scores; and was prompted that I was eligible ...,. So my next actually is ielts .....
But while talking with the dude ; he said something about since I know how to sew ; that I can even apply as tailor if I see it in the NOC ; that is en easier for unskilled to come ; that even if I come with degree ; I will still not work with my qualifications .... I only left school 2018 ; and he said with my 5years of experience from school will give me lesser point ; than when i apply with 10years experience in sewing .....
So I am asking if I should discard school ; and apply as unskilled ; if eventually I pass ielts ; Are there disadvantages of applying as skilled or unskilled ..... Thank you You'll need to do more. Google is your friend. Use the search bar here to search too. Your situation is most likely unique and not the norm so you must be open to plenty research and reading. Have you ever worked as an employee asides tailoring? |

llade: Thanks. But assuming one is successful, can one just keep his wife and kids in Canada and still work in Nigeria for a few years before joining them. Very possible but you must meet a required number of days. I can't remember how many now, please Google it, to qualify for renewal of PR and Citizenship. If I'm wrong, I'm sure others will weigh in |

llade: For someone at 38 with wife and kids, what are the chances of getting through Express Entry successfully and migrating to Canada. Start from page 1, wealth of information there. Simulate your scores which would determine who the PA will be. Estimate the amount you'll need to process it vis-à-vis your financial situation. Age is not on your side, if your wife is much younger, with masters and years of work experience then you stand a good chance by making her the PA. Again, start from page 1, all the info you need is there |

Please does that mean he can't claim the 15 points for siblings, since they have different father details on the data base? ... IRCC works with proof. Whatever you claim to be or have, attach a proof and letter of explanation where necessary. If he can prove that they are siblings... But you already know that he had previously shot himself in the foot. Best is to seek out a licensed immigration officer, it's not free and they can be expensive. |

Prisscindy: These examples are not the same o!
Let me further break it down and when you get to Canada you will understand better. Not all western countries practise "tipping", the ones that do, the workers will work as normal and "if" you feel like giving them extra cash without any ulterior motive then that is a tip. Some companies have "tip" printed on their receipts.
Surprisingly, the workers do not compromise their cores and values, they follow strict procedures to serve their customers, no short cuts because of tips. The thing they can do is priority services which you would have to pay the "company" more.
In the UK, hardly will you see anyone giving tips, never seen.
Our naija own, if you don't bribe, even when they know it's their duty as workers in an organization, they will delay you for others that have bribed, have better connections and influence.
Elderly people and pregnant women will have to stay on the damn queue before entering the bank, just let big boy come, you will see the respect and privilege he'd get.
The Uber example you gave, you said it yourself, you called his direct line, off Uber o. Some might even decline for security purpose and everything also boils down to the fact that every version of abroad companies here have a touch of naija in it. The laws can't be the same because of difference in culture of the geographic location.
Bribe is bribe and nothing more. We should learn to be diligent and be ready to unlearn being Africans. If a TIP is mandatory then IMO, it's a bribe of some sorts. This i witnessed in Florida with reference to when I ordered for pizza from Papa John, the app had a place for tip. I was shocked, I was like you've not brought the pizza, you're asking for tip. I told my spouse to put $1 there o because the total price did not populate until you fill that tip part. |

One could even argue that the main difference between the two acts is merely the timing of the gift: Tips follow the rendering of a service, whereas bribes precede it." There is a time distinction between a tip and a bribe, and also a moral distinction. BUSINESS INSIDERA tip is given after and the amount you tip is usually related to how pleased you were. A bribe has nothing to do with paying someone for doing their job. A bribe is a way of convincing someone to do a favor for you. The bribe could be for any number or reasons, but each one is given to have something done for you. QUORAI hope I won't be banned for this link? It gives more insight into TIPS and BRIBERY. I was shocked to learn that Tip means to Insure promptnesshttps://www.sundaymail.co.zw/is-tipping-a-form-of-bribery |

Boss13: Your response/comment was irresponsible. To also stand by it further indicate your level of stupidity and ignorance. I had to insult you because you have no clue about the justice system yet provided advice that I consider to be TOXIC. God forbid someone who is naive as you decided to act on your stupid advice, only to find out she/he has destroyed her/his home. Let me also educate you because I know you don't know. 95% of domestic violence or disturbance reported to the Police are unwarranted, unnecessary, and often slight conflicts or concerns that can be handled or did not even exist. However, because of the Zero Tolerance observed by the Police, they are left with no choice but to charge the accused. This destroys the family and has long term repercussions. Depending on the severity of the violence or the perception of the Police, the kids would also be separated from the parents and placed under foster care. I hope you note clearly that just a simple phone call to the Police can result in long term trauma.
I hope you do know that you MUST not speak towards every concern especially when you do not have a good understanding of this concern and when the concern is about Marriage. If only you know or see couples involved in this or an innocent accused, I bet you will NEVER have made that comment.
Finally, I do not need any response from a highly irresponsible individual. I am addressing this to avoid unnecessary chaos the may occur from any individual who would have thought your ignorant advice was the best line of action.
If I find time from my busy schedule I may do a quick write up on the dangers and disadvantages of divorce in Canada. Every marriage comes with challenges. Please, please, and please, if both adults in the marriage cannot agree, get a third-party and also consider counseling - both of you. The third-party should NEVER be the Police and also ignore the comment of this.... I don't know what to call him. Uncle, na wah for you o. You insult the person first time, im answer you without insult and you com insult am again. I read your rejoinder and it would have been more meaningful without the added insult. Oga, please edit the insults. Thank you Biko no insult me join o. |

Amanee: If you're doing all these as head teller what will the head of operations be doing? Just tell HR to give you reference letter Lol. Looks more like the job description of a Cash and Teller Services Supervisor or Cash Officer. If he/she is actually doing that, he/she is been overworked jare. HR will give normal teller job description in reference letter which would not contain all that this person listed. |
