How does fixed deposit work? I have investment in a finance house, what supporting documents can I provide along with.
It is an investment account where you keep money with your bank for a specified period of time with attractive interest rates. You do not have access to the money except you liquidate before the end of the specified period or at maturity of the investment. If you liquidate before end of tenure you lose some percentage of the interest to be paid out to you.
Kindly visit your bank for more information.

Please can you put me through on how this treasury bill thing works, I seem to be stuck at the POF stage.
The best bet is to go to your bank, they will give you all information needed including the tenors and rates. I learnt the rates have dropped sha. Go for fixed deposit. Do visit your bank please

But does it have to have been in parents or siblings account for 6 months?
I hope someone else corroborates or refutes my claim.
I think all you need present is your statement, from your own account. It will definitely show the transfer from your parents or siblings to you. Search for gift deed, there are so many information on it already

This has got to be the best thing I am seeing today...Plz even if you leave for Canada, don't blank out on this page, become a pathfinder, lend a hand, drop comments, even if you can help someone pay his Wes fee or even IELTS(Plz I am just suggesting)..We all know the reason we are embarking on this journey is to give ourselves and our next generation a better Life/Platform..Indians understand this concept well and that is why they Flourish in Canada..A friend of mine got nominated by Manitoba and he needed a Sponsorship letter from someone in that Province, connected with a Nigerian there and the dude was asking for 3million(He lost the nomination)..Almost 90% of people here use gift deed for POF, it can only mean one thing WE CAN'T AFFORD THE POF ON OUR OWN..Plz let our Mindset change..The enemy is POVERTY not your fellow Brother/Sister..
What you are suggesting on a public forum is fraud o. The Manitoba person is in no way related to the PR seeker hence the Manitoban demanding money.

If you can't afford POF on your own or with the help of family and friends, how will you survive if you don't land a job immediately?

Please stop suggesting ways of gaming the system in a public forum.

Good day people. Please any PPR from AVO in recent times?? Also please how do I call IRCC . I saw a post sometime ago about using the dingtone app, thought I saved it but can't find it. Please can anyone put me through or tell me where to search.
Thanks.
My 6mnths timeline will elapse by Thursday (AVO) and no update whatsoever since MEP/BIL
Nah to hold vigil on top their head. My spouse don tire already. 10 months post AOR

sadly you cant call AVO. only those with their files in canada can call. AVO will wake soon dont worry
AVO just dey mess folks up. In less than two months, medicals will expire and we'll be 12 months post AOR. Let them answer us o, I can't imagine coughing hundreds of thousands for school fees again.
Annoying thing is that you send them mail only to get generic response. Your life will just be on hold, every decision you make laidis, you will consider AVO/PPR

Anyone can provide you with funds but let it all be paid into the account of either of your parents or sibling. It is easier to explain and defend the relationship

Thanks.

I had 8 in IELTS and spouse had 6.5, so I think we can do better there. We did not evaluate spouse's degree at the time, but we will be doing so now. We will enter the pool with whatever we have now and maybe by some miracle, the scores will drop for a minute and we can get ITA again with those points.

Thanks again.
I like how objective and positive you are. Not lamenting like some in your situation would do. May this journey favour you, Amen

Thank you @SunshineD1 for the response. The second part of my question though: please is there a required timeline, like one has to show that it's been there for 6 months (just like when using SOA), or timeline doesn't apply to tbills (so long as its in the primary applicants name)?

Would really appreciate your response!
No, it is not necessary. Fix it for a long tenure though, say 91 days

Thank you in advance.
It is okay to use tbills as POF.

Though I'm currently in Canada I schooled and work here but family still back home. I can't do my landing till the new born has been added. Been calling and all they tell me is hold on. So was hoping to ask anyone who has had such specific case
Can you ask same question on the landed/living in Canada thread?

The child was born after the application was approved. Cic said I have to wait for the child to be added to the application before we can do the landing. I already filled the generic application form imm008 and imm5406 additional family information form and other additional documents we were told to attach. It been 3 months I filled and sent to them still no response
. When ever I call they say I have to wait that there's no wait time for such case. So I wanna know if there has been anyone in such situation and how long it took.
3 months is a long wait o. From stories I have read here, it usually doesn't take that long even for people who already had PPR and needed to add a newborn born post PPR.
I believe others will weigh in with their personal experiences. It is well with you

Pls can anyone help or knows anyone with similar case pls I'm tired of waiting ☹️
You will have to be more specific on why you are adding a child/spouse after your application was approved.
The reason(s) will help those in similar situations proffer solutions.

Hello all,

Please ooo, for people in Ontario, are there remote jobs I can do for now? I am heavily pregnant and may not be able to work long hours but I need to do something. I am also considering taking a course but I still don't know which one is more lucrative.

I studied Accounting, have my ACCA, but I have about 4years experience in Banking only.

Biko, any suggestion is welcome.
@blackbuddy and @Mrs O. had put up links for online jobs in the closed thread I believe. Maybe they or someone else can assist.
Wish you safe delivery of your Canny baby

Dear Ayandee....I would advise you not too be too worried if you are unable to get a letter of non indebtedness...

C) get your relationship manager to get one of the credit bureau print outs (I think there are 3 or 4 omcredit bureaus) for you showing you do not have any outstanding loans in Nigeria...careful with this though...the report is sometimes inaccurate/lagged and may show old loans that have been paid off.
D) go to the head office and ask for the branch manager, escalation often works.

You'll be alright. All the best!
I like your submission but the stress of points C and D on top letter of non indebtedness.

I think he/she is moving with the tide of people that submitted the letter hence the worries on not getting it.

I hope others that didn't use it will calm him/her down. I didn't and @banky... didn't, he already got his COPR

This part is wrong as GTB issued my wife a Letter of Non-indebtedness and she doesn't have a salary account with them. She also hasn't collected any loan before.
We were charged 500naira each for both Ref letter and Indebtedness letter as shown on the transaction history on mobile banking
Okay

No update o. I learnt people sent petitions sometime in January to Minister Mendicino and the man responded that they should be patient.
Na patience we dey so o. We don dey gather money small small for another medicals now... over 200k. It is well and it will surely end in praise.

My opinion is that I'd have to submit two letters from the bank Post-ITA. Is this correct or the reference letter would suffice?

- Reference letter and
- Letter of non-indebtedness.

@ayandee @ovy92 @all. Please house, I need your opinions.
I responded to this before.
We did not submit a letter of non indebtedness in our application. We only used references and TB certificates.
If you can obtain it, try. If not, please do not sweat it
