Pls can you explain what you mean by he is the principal application and ... he may take her out?

There is an exception to every rule and if she is a victim of domestic violence. They can never tell her to return to Nigeria. I'm not sure if that's what you mean. People need to behave themselves
She means when they were in Nigeria, the wife had to be cajoled to be patient and tolerate the husband since he is the PA, so he won't yank her from the application. Now they are in Canada, she prays he doesn't misbehave again or the wife might just flip her lid and the man own go kpafuka

Apply as single, lock your scores
Get married, add your spouse
Scores remain the same since you got married after ITA.
Final and most important step: Pray against Accra, or get involved in something (school, new business venture etc) that even if you land in Accra, it won't affect you that much.
Anytime i see the bold part, I smile. Accra sure has a reputation. This time last year, I was sure I won't spend Christmas of 2019 in Naija. I don begin arrange every... We still dey here o. It will end in praise and thanksgiving by God's grace. Amen

They never ever work as tellees, those are contract staff roles. They always understudy customer care and sales, tellers? Never.
@Beuharry is actually right as that was the norm in some banks years ago. When I joined the bank almost 15 years ago, I started as a front teller, merchant teller, funds transfer and other roles as assigned by my supervisor within operations unit until I became a supervisor. Then, we never had contract staff as operations staff until around 2008/2009. So branches usually had a mix of contract/full staff in operations. Few years ago, these trend was phased out as only contract staff were doing the teller jobs while an executive trainee employed today becomes their supervisor.

I’m sorry for the confusion, was in a rush when I typed the message earlier.

And No, I did not do re-med.
My medical was automatically extended. It expired May 1st and by June 2nd, my profile was showing I had passed my medical exam.
Wow... My family and I did upfront re-med o. Soon after that, we ordered GCMS notes. There, it was stated that medicals was expired. No extension for us. What's your VO?

Wow! Mamaroon as always!!! Amazing how you recall things and go about your things. I've really "met" brilliant minds in this thread.. Mama,
you're one of them. And when all these immigration dusts finally settle, I'll love to meet with you and the family. Oui, au Canada, un jour !

Tout va bien se finir, by His grace. Amen
I love the way she calmly and knowledgeably responds, adding references too. I hope she has a blog or something, she's really good at this.

@Ednut @Otoge, I really don't see what he has done wrong here. He simply directed the fellow that asked for help towards the right direction in his findings and research. Sometimes you may not need to know everything before you can show someone where to look which I think he has done here.

Mind you, it's not everything u get advice on in here you just swallow down... It's often advisable to also do your own findings before adopting anything. Hence, since he has directed the fellow, it's up to him to go out there and hustle for the information if he is really interested in the immigration thingy. Perhaps, if successful for him, he can come back and share.

@JustMellow, nice one o!

I will advise you wait until you are asked. Mine expired May 1st 2020 and by June 2nd my profile showed I had passed medical.
So basically my profile went from “July 16, 2019. You passed medical” to “You do not need a medical exam.....” then finally to “June 2nd, 2020. You passed the medical exam..”

Medical expires the day you do it, which in your case will be 14th of August.
I don't understand, biko help me out, no vex.
Your medicals expired May 1st, 2020 and on June 2nd, you got a mail saying you passed the medical exam? Did you do a re-med? Was your medicals extended?

first set of officers you meet would give you a form to fill in contact details and where you would isolate . Next is the one goods declaration form where they ask what and what you brought. Then to the main counter where copr is signed. For accommodation its best to inform host you are a traveler as mine cancelled due to covid fears. Later found a host who didn't mind i just traveled. For groceries there are apps for ordering stuff ( i used instacart and got free shipping as a new subscriber). Sin is now done online. Most officers did not bother to verify things said at poe maybe due to covid. But someone was asked to log in their mobile app to see pof balance.
Thanks Ednut. Cheers to a wonderful new beginning in Canada

Lol... Don't know what that means. Anyway, it's okay if you don't wanna disclose that.
I'm just fishing for info on how it went for those who landed smack in the middle of covid. I'd posted in the other forum but got no response.
It'll be great to get a heads up on landing gists, mandatory quarantine, getting accommodation, shopping amidst the pandemic especially for someone quarantined, getting a job if any.
These and any other info will guide those of us landing soon (I'm "faithing" it). Covid-19 is the new normal.

best to join whatsapp groups. The one i know is full already . People landed today with the latest chartered flight
Are you still in Naija?
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by SunshineD1:
Good evening all,
Please is there anyone that landed during this covid period in any of the provinces?
If yes, kindly assist with the following info, "landing gists", POE formalities, SIN, healthcare, housing/accomodation, shopping during the mandatory 14 days quarantine and any other relevant information will be appreciated.
This question stems from the fact that covid-19 is the new normal. Things have changed. Anyone landing post covid will not have same "landing gists" as those who landed before covid-19. This information will also go a long way to prepare those that will be landing when the airspace is opened or via chartered flights.
Thanks all

Oh sure I can disclose.

So Back in the 90s, his elder brother wanted him to leave for greener pastures and sponsored a visa through a visa agent that got him as far as the entry border and he was turned back to Nigeria. ( fake visa). Later on, he visited the embassy and was granted a visa via an interview and went to the US. Then it was a three month period validity and he over stayed that by one month.

Returned to the country and visited again for a month. Went in to renew his visa and was scolded during his interview that he overstayed a visit but he was granted. He used it once. Stayed 8 days and returned. Went back to renew in 2007 and was denied . Reason was that he overstayed . Thought nothing much to it since he was always visiting the UK and thought he’d try again. In 2019 he wanted to attend a conference so he went for a renewal. That was when he found out after the denial that he was banned in 2007.

We got married in 2010

So he was devastated knowing that he was banned more so, now that he wants us to relocate. It’s painful but I don’t know how this plays out. No crime was committed within the country during his stay neither were any issues with authorities.

This is all that happened.
Wow... Like others have said, make sure you state everything and attach all supporting documents, if any. Above all, pray and be positive. I hope to read your successful relocation story someday. Good luck with your application

Good day Elders,

Please I am a new member here and I’ve been reading up a lot. I have a strong concern about my intention to relocate with my family.

It is that my husband has one rejection and a life ban from the US and I don’t know if this will clog or affect our being able to sail through with a Canadian PR. We have all and every intention of disclosing all but I am not sure of how it plays out with Canada. Please how do I address this situation in the application? Has this affected anyone positively or negatively?

Thank you all.
I just spoke with someone on this and he told me that the outcome of your application will depend on the offence, is it a criminal or security issue? He also mentioned that he knows of someone deported from the UK and the fellow got PR, he mentioned someone that had a DUI in UK, getting PR too. Good luck and if you're willing to share more details, I'm sure the knowledgeable ones will help you out. Cheers

Hello All,
I had my COPR before March 18th but unfortunately because of the lockdown, we couldn’t travel and all subsequent efforts didn’t play out the way we wanted...Long story short, we have a new addition to our family and we raised cse...We are suppose to submit baby’s medical, application fee and international passport... But due to the lockdown, we can’t get pass port at the moment..Now my question is can we use the baby’s Official Birth cert to submit the online documentation while we r processing the passport
Congratulations on your new addition.
International passport is very important, it'll be needed. I think what you need now, is to ask folks for contact on quick international passport. You will pay plenty money for it o, but it's doable. Where are you located for starters? Someone might be able to link you up with an immigration officer

Honestly, when I typed my response to her, I did it with concern for everyone and I wasn't harsh, not even the intention either. So him telling me I was harsh put me off cos that's not what it is and even if, the main message is there. Me too I be person relation. You ignore it and focus on absence of love and light. You don't expect anyone, people you don't know to send love and light to you.

I appreciate your concern but I'm not remotely frustrated by anything.
By frustration, I was referring to express entry and the intricacies, delays, covid-19, travel restrictions, visa offices and officers etc.

I don enter second year post AOR, and the frustration has started tickling me.

I make an effort to knock into your thick heads things people have been screaming about since ages that didn't get in from when they were being said. Second time in a week a post about paying in money is making it there and you think it is funny or harsh cos people are told the brutal truth about their intended steps? Delays in people's PR processing and refusals don't care about your feelings or your imagination of one's response as being harsh. Just right on top of the two of yous convo, are people talking about VOs and how they can be reading but you think we will be here to sweet talk and pet your fraudulent ways? Don't hurt/delay or attract extra unnecessary scrutiny to my application.
I'm trying to make a fight and you fell for it? Solomon.
Na people mama and papa, brothers and sisters, you dey call names so o.
I noticed the change in delivery of your responses and I'm like this guy gotta chill. Don't let the wait get to you, even if the questions asked frustrates the hell out of you, refrain from answering in a harsh manner. You can say this same thing in a courteous way or waka pass like I do.
God will make the wait worth it for all of us, this new month shall be filled with PPR stories. I really yearn to read them, including mine.
