Remii:What did they call Timothy mcveigh? What did they call the Unabomber? |
It seems to me that the OPs problem is not their obliviousness to politics rather that their politics differ from his? Obliviousness to politics is my 15 year old cousin (born and bred in the uk) not knowing who David Cameron was. Fact is, those people may be unrealistic, but how most political ideas are unrealistic by nature. They never end up in their purest form. |
I think what ivynwa is trying to say is that a lot of women are forced to lose themselves in marriage. It's all very well for daviddylan to say marriage is all about the 'we' rather than the I but the fact remains that it always leans towards the stronger party which in most African households is the man. Fact remains that women are held to a higher standard than men in a marriage whilst having less rights. A man can go to the bar with his mates and come back drunk and maybe nothing will happen. Let the woman even come back late and it's like the Spanish inquisition. And yes, most people can tell that this is what the person is like before marriage but some choose to wilfully ignore it. |
Hmm, on the other hand you feel girls get away with a lot. Some of the behaviour that in a guy would be considered and psycho would be seen as romantic or cute in a woman. That said, mere asking out on a date? There is nothing wrong with that. I would respect a woman who decided not to restrict herself to outdated norms a d actually find it a bit of a turn on. |
See the thing in other countries where the age is shockingly low is that those girls tend to have a say in who they shag. They will make mistakes, and they will regret it but thats growing up. Despite the age restrictions of 14 in italy you don't see anyone running to get married. The law is not in there so that old men can legally pick the forbidden fruit. Secondly some people's homophobia is so bad that they're willing to peddle any crackpot theory they like. Marrying someone at 13 will stop homophobia? You never heard of affairs? |
Striker is actually very tricky. Constantly moving in a very small space. Remember you need to make sure you're not offside, defenders will aslp be trying to play you off. If you have that concentration, and the co posits to score, you'll be fine. I'd say full backs. The amount of space you get is much. The level of skill you need is not all that great. And a lot of the time people it seems robe the one position someone can fill in and do a job. Wasn't Yobo a right-back at first? |
Because last I checked people are free to get married wherever they please? |
This is funny. I doubt the average foreign to naija visa applicant will be as devastated as the average naija visa applicant would be to not travel. Do you think there is a website out there where foreign nationals are stressing over Nigerian visas? Yes some people might really want to come but the average person could take it or leave it. The other funny thing is the fact that they said they'd up the turn around time. Like it's not already shocking enough. If they increase the Nigerian visa turn around time any longer given the stories I've come across people might be waiting up to a year. After all, just a few years ago you didn't need visas to go to Singapore but thanks to our shoddy practices look at where we are now. |
Hardbody, you still haven't explained why you have no problem with going to SA despite their atrocities going on till 1990 (apartheid, purchasing nukes to use on black africans) at least when the issue you have with the UK comes from something (amalgamation) that happened almost a 100 years ago. How do you rationalise the two? |
tom28:Here posts a man who has never met a white person before. |
I don't spend much time on here and already I can see that phreakhabit is a complete mong. Why lie and and say that they don't do programs on russian/asian bride scams when they do. A simple google will stop you from looking like a mong next time. Repatriation of Africa's stolen wealth? I don't see you going to Minna to go and knock up Babangida and ask him for the one he stole. |
To me each one was better than the last. I remember I was like wtf is this Harry Potter shyt. Then i think during the hype for the second movie, I read Philopher's stone. went back and got 2 and 3. finished them in 3 days or so. come and see race picking to run to the library before it closed for a long weekend so I could get Goblet of Fire. Just got in the nick of time. Half-blood prince was good, but was probably the least memorable for me sha. As in, I honestly cannot even remember reading the book although I know I did. |
Sun of god:they are his fellow moslem brothers as much as the witch children pastors in akwa ibom are our christian brothers. |
hardbody:Maybe you can start reading books about a little old-South African government policy called Apartheid. When you've read it, I wonder what you will do. Seeing as you're blaming the UK for stuff they did almost 100 years ago, why give your forex to a country that less than 40 years ago was planning to nuke the rest of black africa. bloody hypocrite. |
so was it Britain and America that told Babangida and Abacha to loot billions? john major was sitting on babangida's epaulette going, are you sure that's enough? take another billion. can you not be a western puppet and at least do some good in your country? or were they banned from doing that? as for the deportees, when you play with fire you get burned. |
Some funny things in this thread. Why do people think you don't pay bills in Nige? Even if a bill isn't dropping in your house every month. You still buy NEPA credit/or if you aren't on the PAYG system you get the old fashioned bogus bill. And obv, you're buying diesel. If you don't pay water bills, you're bringing in a tanker. You're sending your children to school. You're if you're unlucky, having to go and find their books. You still buy credit for your phone. You still fill your car. Debt? You think people don't borrow from each other? Only thing is that instead of a bank disturbing your ass, it'll be your relation and you can maybe sleep easy at night knowing he won't kick you out of the house. Newsflash, that is still debt. Stress? 12 hour shifts? My friends dad used to come back at 3am sometimes from work. He owns his own chambers. When my mum is on deadline she doesn't sleep till 4am. Sometimes she is like shaking from exhaustion completely knackered. Lets not even talk about all the domestic staff who have to leave their houses at silly o clock just to get to work in time, for relative peanuts. You're your own boss? Then you have to work even harder. Even when you're not at work, you're at work. the only thing I can say is that because things in Nige are so lax, when stuff is on point over here, with no begging or bribing, it makes things uncomfortable. second class citizen? on this very website someone once asked why people in the Naija delta were upset. this website where tribal insults are hurled around like confetti at a gypsy wedding. and least i'm a guy. let's ask those women who when their hubby/bf's beat the tar out of them, people say but you know he has a temper like that's any excuse how they really feel about life whether they enjoy life as 'first-class citizens in their own country'. on a site where the question is asked, he's a plumber, can i love him? like as if because he does a blue-collar job he's some kind of parasite. in a country where people say levels. they forget their culture? who's fault is that? and i dont even subscribe to that nonsense. god forbid your kids should have a mind of their own. even if you cook egusi soup every day for them, some of them will still prefer to live in america rather than go and lord it over people in their village. sighs. shakes head. backs away. |
I'd love to this, check out my blog fitbablog..com and drop me a line at ted.phido@gmail.com if interested. |
I've got eternal sonata. Mint condition. Never been played. How much are you willing to pay. |
Bawss1:Dude, did you know that if you set the clock of your ps2 like one week ahead, the guy will have died of old age? ![]() |
Don't do anything OP. just stay there. You deserve to be permanently single smh 'Exposed' smh. |
Always wanted to visit Croatia, the coast and the women are fiiiine! Thought it would be full of racists though. |
Most girls I know were well-behaved, never got into trouble, never did runs, overpopulated the fellowship- I think there was one guy and his junior sidekick lol. Then again I went to an ajebota school. Bottom line is, I think if parents are on point like those of the girls in my ajebota school were, they won't get up to mischief. If you cannot train your daughter to understand that she can't have everything she wants, and you can't instill in her self-respect not to hoor around to get it, then you've failed as a parent in my opinion. |
100 dollars for a nearly 10 year old system? you be thief? at poster. why not just buy an old DS/DS lite. Those have the capability to play Game Boy Advance Games and you can hack it so you can play the pirated ones if that's what you're after. Probably the reason why I have not upgraded to a DSi yet. |
@tpia- is detroit a dead city or not? if the city was thriving and full of people not on some kind of welfare thanks to the fall of the auto industry, would they be doing that? what does that have to do with lagos. and most people are forgetting that its 120/150 naira per toll per journey. Who makes one trip, won't you return? at 150 naira per toll per journey you're looking at 900 naira a day. And Lekki isn't made up of Bigmen. What of staff, what of the people who have to commute in. Even if I stole money why should I spend almost a grand a day for an uncompleted road where I can spend up to 3 hours just getting into V/I? Yeah some people want the world for free, but most people will pay for services if they are offered. At this point in time, they aren't |

@chaircover, do you take a taxi from the crowne to LHR cos it's not exactly close? I will never use Air France. 2 reasons, their shameful treatment of my uncle and aunt (they thought they could do whatever cos they were Nigerians, not knowing that they were US citizens come and see backtracking and about-turns when they found out). Secondly, they go on strike far too much. Got nabbed in their strike at CDG for a couple of days. Alitalia!!! had to rescue us. |
but of course. timid= shy, unassuming, reticent. you tend to be somewhat fearful of people or new situations. inferiority complex- you feel others are better than you and it affects your interactions with them. this can lead to the timidity above or unwarranted jealousy. not sure how you can mix the two up really. ![]() |
that is actually disgusting. |
