Gafaru street has always been like this for a very long time now. The roads are dilapidated and not motorable. I lived there for more than 15years and there was actually no sign of seeing the entrance of the state government coming to that area by fixing the road. Ijegun road was worst off before the then governor of the state and national leader of the All Progressive Congress(APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu bailed us out by fixing the road leading to Ikotun and other environs. but Gafaru has been begging for attention for a long time and it doesn't look like the government is ready to do anything about it.

And the people in that area in their wisdom have been voting the same party almost 100℅ at every election

I'm from Edo State, I can attest to this, it's so correct. You didn't include stopping of ticketing by agberos lead by Tony Kabaka and co. If you were in Edo State during Oshiomole government when Tony Kabaka were in charge of all the ticketing, beating of bus, car drivers, market men and women were on daily basis but it's no more since the government of Obaseki. Introduction of technology in collecting government revenue.
Governor Obaseki have not also borrow a dime to fund his projects.
Also, no state institutions have gone on strike because they are paid their salaries as when due.
