Emotional abuse is often a part of other kinds of abuse, which means it can be difficult to spot the signs or tell the difference, though it can also happen on its own.

Sundaland: The Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop, Enugu Diocese, Anglican Communion, Most. Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma has cried out that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is the most corrupt in the nation’s history.
Chukwuma spoke to journalists in Enugu on Monday night, ranking the Buhari administration as a total failure in the anti-corruption fight.
The cleric said it was saddening {that a} government that was voted into power due to its promise of coming to fight corruption and enhance the financial system, has instead made matters worse.
He said, “When Buhari was coming in, he promised change, we embraced him, but rather than what was promised to Nigerians, what we are seeing is worse.
“Corruption has gone to a high level. There is too much embezzlement and money laundering under this government.
“Corrupt officials who are indicted and arrested are not being imprisoned, even those that were imprisoned by the last administration have been granted pardon.
“We were told about billions of recovered loot, where is it? That’s why I said the government is too corrupt. They are re-looting recovered money.”

naijabetlee: Number one bestselling author and former aide to ex president Goodluck Jonathan, Pastor Reno Omokri, has said that of all the presidential candidates, only Atiku has empowered Nigerians outside politics. He said the other candidates have only been able to do little to better the lots of Nigerians if at all, only because they held political positions.
Omokri said these in his 57th and 58th series of why he wants Nigerians to vote for Atiku.

Bola Tinubu is even worse. Outside power, he has continued to benefit from power, even as he does not use his vast wealth without enterprise to help Lagosians. He installed puppets as Lagos Governors and assemblymen, and is feeding fat from the sweat of Lagosians.
But Waziri Atiku is different from the rest. He left office on May 29, 2007, and set up the Atiku Care Foundation, which had been traversing Nigeria, spending millions making life better for the less privilege.
He has built clinics for the poor, and established a Standard Microfinance Bank, which has so far empowered 50,000 rural women.
Waziri Atiku also established several cottage industries to provide gainful, non exploitative employment to 13,500 Nigerians manufacturing made in Nigeria goods and services, including the Yola Shrink Laminate Plant, Rico Gado, Priam Logistics, Food Merchants Ltd, Adama Beverages, and a host of others.
And of course, his flagship investment, the American University of Nigeria, Yola, continues to give full scholarships to indigent students.
A person who did nothing for you outside power, will do nothing for you inside power.
That is why I invite Nigerians to vote Waziri Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party on Election Day, Saturday, February 25, 2023. As one we can get it done.
Similarly, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, Waziri Atiku Abubakar spoke at the Royal Institute for International Affairs, AKA Chatham House, and took over 10 questions, which he answered without reading from a paper. On Monday, December 5, 2022, Bola Tinubu spoke at Chatham House and could not take questions. Instead he delegated other members of his team to respond to them.
What Waziri Atiku demonstrated is that the buck stops at his desk. He showed a command presence, and was articulate and had fluidity of thought and nimbleness of mind. He projected to Nigerians and the world that he had the answers to many of Nigeria’s challenges at the tip of his fingers.
He also demonstrated that again on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the AriseTV Presidential Town Hall debate, where he led the pack of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Peter Obi, who kept on aping him and repeating his answers. Again, Nigerians must note that poignant quote from Oscar Wilde-“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.”

In contrast, Bola Tinubu demonstrated executive weakness and failure to project that he is in control of his campaign and vision, meaning that he will demonstrate those same traits if he elected.
Of course, we know what he is trying to hide. His public appearances have been gaffe prone, and filled with embarrassing mispronunciation of simple words and losing his chain and train of thought mid sentence. He is obviously showing signs of age related mental decline.
The question to Nigerians is this: Can a man who cannot respond to questions asked of him during the campaign solve the hard questions facing Nigeria in the economic, security and social arena? Very doubtful. Very doubtful indeed.
It is for this reason, and others previously listed, and still to be listed, that I counsel Nigerians to vote for Waziri Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party on Election Day 2023.

BrandSpurNG: Brand Spur Nigeria reports that Nigeria has recorded N16 trillion from crude oil sales between January and September 2022.
The oil sales recorded by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited is captured in the foreign trade report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
Despite the huge oil sales, Godwin Emefiele, governor of CBN, last month said foreign exchange receipt from crude oil sales into Nigeria’s official reserves has dried up steadily from above $3 billion monthly in 2014 to $0 today.
According to data gathered, NBS Nigeria earned N5.6 trillion in the first quarter, N5.9 trillion in the second quarter and N4.6 trillion in the third quarter of 2022.
NBS data show that the value of crude oil exports in Q3 rose by 16 per cent compared to N4 trillion recorded in the corresponding period last year.
On a quarter-to-quarter analysis, it reduced by 21 per cent from N5.9 trillion in Q2 2022.
The third quarter of this year recorded the least sales from crude oil. This can be attributed to the low oil production during this period.

A further breakdown from the report revealed that Spain was Nigeria’s biggest crude oil customer for the third quarter of 2022.
Spain bought N580.2 billion of crude oil, and India paid N559 billion from July to August 2022.
Other top customers were France (N413.83bn), Netherlands N396.51bn Indonesia paid N406bn, while United States N292.83bn. South Africa N283.70 billion, Ivory Coast N247.73 billion, Portugal N141.74 billion and Italy N192.61 billion completed the top 10 markets for Nigeria’s crude oil.
Gunmen on Tuesday night of December 6, 2022, abducted a corps member, Adenike, and seven others in Extension 2 Relocation, along Arab Road, Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Adenike, currently observing the mandatory National Youth Service, was kidnapped in her father’s home, PUNCH disclosed.
A source confirmed that Adenike is the only daughter of her parents, adding that several others went missing after the attack.
The source added that two others escaped while they were being whisked away through the hills by the kidnappers.
The source said, “Adenike, the landlord’s only daughter who’s currently doing her NYSC has been kidnapped. We’re confused now because several others are also missing.
“Seven others were kidnapped alongside Adenike. But two others, among the ten earlier, kidnapped, escaped, and are safe now.”
The gunmen attacked a residence in the Extension 2 Relocation, along Arab Road, in Kubwa, and shot two males, with one of the gunshot victims dying on the spot, as the other was rushed to the hospital.
During the attack, an eyewitness noted that the gunmen shot sporadically at Amilomania Street and later moved to Toyin Street.
He said, “We heard gunshots twice when they first stormed a house at Amilonania Street. They’re now at Toyin Street, at the last house by the hill.
“They shot a tailor, Abel, popularly known as Oshodi, and he’s lying down dead. They also shot another male, but we have taken him to the Kubwa General Hospital at Phase 4, but he was unconscious.
“The gunmen escaped through the hill.”
When contacted, the FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh didn’t take calls nor responded to text messages forwarded to her on the Tuesday night of December 6.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday said elections are now difficult to rig in Nigeria.
The president stated this at State House, Abuja, while playing host to the West African Elders Forum Pre-Election Mediation Mission, led by former Sierra Leonean President, Dr Ernest Bai Koroma.
He restated that the 2023 general elections would be free, fair and credible as manipulations would not be allowed in any form.
He said the off-season elections held in Anambra, Ekiti and Osun States were a pointer to the fact that the federal government would allow the people to choose the leaders they want.
“We shall not allow anyone to use money and thugs to intimidate the people. Nigerians know better now, they are wiser and know that it is better to dialogue than to carry weapons. Elections are even more difficult to rig now,” President Buhari said in a statement issued by his spokesman, Femi Adesina.
Former President Koroma said his team had met with stakeholders across political parties, civil society, and Independent National Electoral Commission, among others, “and we commend you for making it clear both locally and internationally that the elections would be free and fair.”
He commended President Buhari for not listening to voices that might have tried to convince him to seek a third term in office, against the laws of the country, noting that “other countries look up to Nigeria for direction.”
He urged President Buhari to look into other areas of concern as raised by the stakeholders, including security, and “issues that may cast doubts on the clarity and credibility of the elections.”

Lagos was never celebrated in governance until Fashola became governor in 2007. I remember clearly the fight Tinubu had with Obasanjo about local government creation, that was the major reason Lagos was on the news then, apart for obvious reasons as Nigeria’s economic capital, there was nothing spectacular in Lagos governance then apart from the filths and dirts that littered the former pride of the nation.
There was nothing exciting about Tinubu’s leadership except his meticulous politics. He was a last man standing of the AD governors of the Southwest region then because Igbos helped him.
We still remember how Tinubu was changing his deputies like sidechicks. There was one Bucknor then and another Femi Pedro, they all fell out with Tinubu.
We remember clearly how Tinubu almost never wanted Fashola to complete his term but Fashola being a system man, managed to, unlike Ambode who, although being very good as a leader didn’t know how to manage power.
Tinubu, typical of most governors in his sets; 1999-2007, was mediocre like Lucky Igbinedion, Alams, Dariye etc. It is sad how people want to re-write history before our eyes.
How would someone attribute the Lagos success story to Tinubu, it is very painful to read that sometimes. Lagos was already Lagos before Tinubu was born. You can go and verify this.
You guys should show a mega project attributed to Tinubu. One he started and completed like the Tinapa of Calabar or the 10 lanes road constructed by Peter Obi’s government 10 years ago that is still standing or the Akpabio’s miracle of Akwa-Ibom or the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge by Fashola or Wike’s flyovers. You can’t point at any, you can only say he built men. How? As per their father? or by using undemocratic means to install stooges, who by their conscience chose to be men as expected.
It is very sad that I can’t respond to comments here because Facebook has restricted my account but truth be said, as a politician, Tinubu is astute but as a leader, he shouldn’t come near to power. He is just not what we want. We cannot finish a Buhari and start with a Tinubu.
