The LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, appears to be causing marital strife, as an Anambra indigene is preparing to divorce his wife due to her insistence on supporting Peter Obi for the 2023 presidential election.

According to the 60-year-old doctor, who prefers to be addressed simply as Mr Ikenna , his wife of over 25 years has become insensitive and out of touch with reality, and he cannot condone her recent actions, which have the potential to return the country to the depths of despair if Peter Obi is elected president.

He asserts that the issue is not her right to vote for whomever she chooses, but rather her refusal to understand why Peter Obi would never make a decent president and actually endanger the lives of millions of people.

In his appeal to his community elders, Mr Ikenna, who is from Ihiala, has already started the process of displacing his wife, whom he wed by custom 25 years ago. The wife, whom he refers to as Ngozi was a victim of Peter Obi's tyranny when he served as governor of Anambra State.

HIS STORY:

This is an issue of my wife's respect for the dead; we lost our 13-year-old son and only child, who is a sickle cell patient because we couldn't afford the medical expenses when my son Chijuka became involved in a messy crisis that required immediate resources to save his life.

I am a medical doctor, and it pained me to see my son die in agony because we couldn't afford medical treatment due to Peter Obi's insensitivity. This unfortunate incident occurred in 2011 during Anambra's over-a-year doctor's strike.

We were at home, and my wife, a teacher, was also at home as a result of Peter Obi's harsh policies, we were living in squalor with nowhere to go. My colleagues were dead broke like me, and everything was like a desert with no way of surviving economically.

We cried and cursed Peter Obi's administration for the agony he put us through before Chijuka's crisis and in the aftermath of his death. It is unfortunate that 11 years later, this same woman can campaign for Peter Obi based on tribal affiliations, ignoring the pain Obi has caused us.

Because Chijuka was our only kid and would still be with us if proper care had been given, I am unable to and will not continue our relationship. Ngozi is a victim; she can wed the Labour Party for all I care since I have no longer need to live with someone insensitive enough to not realise that Peter Obi is not acting in the best interests of himself, let alone the country.

On the other hand, Ngozi has begged her husband's elders to give her another chance.

The issue is currently trending on a WhatsApp forum where Ngozi is the secretary and her husband Ikenna is a member.

Man sentenced to death by hanging, three others jailed for kidnap, gang rape and torture of 20-year-old woman in Edo

An Edo High Court sitting in Auchi on Thursday, December 7, 2022, convicted and sentenced one Taofeek Isah to death by hanging for kidnap, gang rape and torture of a 20-year old woman, Blessing Ezekiel, with harmful substance, while three others were sentenced to jail terms ranging from four to 19 years.

The convicts, namely; Taofeek Isah, Jeremiah Okamudu, Godwin Adeyemi, and Miracle were brought before the court on a five-count charge of rape, kidnapping, attack with harmful substance, inflicting physical injury and unlawful trial by ordeal.

The presiding judge, Justice Philip Imoedemhe, in his judgment sentenced Isah, the 1st defendant to death; Jeremiah Okamudu, 2nd defendant to four years imprisonment without option of fine, while Miracle Pius , the 4th defendant was jailed for 19 years without option of fine.

Justice Imoedemhe held that all the evidence tendered before the court convinced him beyond reasonable doubt that the 1st, 2nd and 4th defendants were guilty of the charges.

Imoedemhe ordered that Taofeek Isah be sentenced to death by hanging while the other convicts be taken to the Auchi Correctional Centre to serve their jail terms.

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi says Nigeria is collapsing very fast with the worsening statistics of people living in poverty.

Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers, on Wednesday in Akure, donated N200 million to the Foundation for Wives of Ondo State Officials and Female Political Appointees (FOWOSO).

Wike, who was represented by Rivers Head of Service, Mr Rufus Godwin, made the donation at the fourth summit of FOWOSO.

He applauded the initiative of the Ondo State governor’s wife, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, which he described as life-changing.

He said that something urgent must be done to ensure gender equality, adding that each political party must allow women in its elective positions to at least 30 per cent representation.

The Rivers governor asked women to support their counterparts massively in the 2023 polls.

Also speaking, Mrs Anyanwu-Akeredolu said that if women were given adequate spaces in all sectors of human endeavour to function, there would be a better world.

The theme of the summit is “Bridging the Gender Gap in the Political Arena: A Case for Nigerian Women.”

She said that decision makers should allow a balancing between men and women in the scheme of things for a better society.

The governor’s wife said that the FOWOSO’s reasoned stand is that women are capable partners and indispensable veritable tools in a nation’s moves toward sustainable development.

My wife and daughter traveled to her village in August for 3weeks and they were supposed to be back before the school resumption but she changed her mind saying her mother was seriously ill that she has to extend her stay which was fine by me and when they returned back I noticed that she has lost so much weight which I asked her why she said it was due to the stress of caring for her sick mother which is normal.

I took my daughter to the hospital the result has confirmed she was tampered i was devasted she has been the best wife to me and she has helped me and my sisters to reconciled in the past but what she has done to me it is unforgivable and I have arrested her and when I bail her I will divorce her and take custody of my daughter.

National Vice President of the Igbo Social-Cultural Organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, has said that over eighty per cent of Nigerian eligible voters will vote for the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, in the 2023 general elections.
He said Obi will get the percentage because of the change agenda he has set in place and the wide endorsement from Afenifere, Middle Belt Leaders and many other ethnic social-cultural organisations across the country.

According to him, the South East support for Peter Obi was not for Igbo interest but for the good of

“We don’t want to make our support to Peter Obi an Igbo affair and we are not supporting him because he is an Igbo man. Ohaneze support for Peter Obi and Ahmed Datti is for the national interest. Ohaneze is fully in support of the Peter Obi /Ahmed Datti joint
ticket. We are fully in support of it “in and out” .
”The Yoruba are supporting Obi/ Datti ticket, even they are leading in the support of the ticket for national interest, why won’t the Igbo support the movement? The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has commenced the auction of a total of 435 cars that were finally forfeited to the Federal government in line with the EFCC (Establishment) Act 2004; Public Procurement Act 2007 and the Proceeds of Crimes (Recovery and Management) Act 2022.
