yes because of cattle rustling even amongst the Fulani they fight... They want the grass not the land. I understand why Southerner cared about land so much that's why it's hard for them to understand.

They carry AK47 cos of cattle rustling. Are they licensed to carry it? They want the grass not the land..... Are you justifying their stupidness of not being able to identify grass from cassava farm?

I know they'll avoid SW now cos of Amotekun, other regions will also brace up.
Stop living the archaic life and start building ranches... people don't use camels and horses for transport anymore, they drive cars.

I didn't justify what fulani herdsmen are doing. What I mean is that their way of survival is thru cattle rearing, due to urbanization and climate change push them deeper into the south. And the conspiracy is they came to take our lands. Fulani herdsmen don't care about lands...

If they don't care about lands, they should stay put in their region. Even the so called arrogant Fulani leaders walked out on a peaceful meeting in Anambra cos they questioned why their people carry AK47 in broad daylight. Does cattle rearing require sophistaced weapons?

I am not disputing that with you, that's why i said Nigeria needs to fix up, i am only highlighting the damage being down to Nigeria when our best brains keep going abroad. I did a lil research a while ago and this is what i found. It takes up to $150,000 to $200,000 to train a medical doctor in USA, now convert that to naira you would know how much that is and then compare how much is used to train a doctor here in Nigeria, you would discover that the Nigerian govt does a lot to subsidize the fees of Nigerian students who attend public universities. In my 200L in uniben back in 2011 i paid N8000 as school fees.

Sure you're right about the education subsidy and the brain drain also. In as much as we desire for Nigeria to fix up as we've been hopeful for decades, but my brother, it appears to be a wild goose chase. But as an average Naija we are still hopeful.

His friends do hangout after work and he's meeting with them for funds and job assistance. An average man in such a situation would rather collect money from his friends than his wife, as most women tend to loose respect for a man when they provide for him.
Pray he gets a job soon, things will change.
Not all guys hangout solely to drink and carry Olosho.

And yet when most of them graduate they start thinking of moving overseas, thereby cheating Nigeria who subsided their education to go service foreigners who didn't pay a dime for their education.

Note : I don't blame anybody who wishes to move abroad to seek for greener pastures, Nigeria needs to put it's house in order.

It's not everyone who traveled abroad that had it in their initial plan. I know a graduate that worked for a Lebanese oil and gas servicing company for a salary of 35k naira. Meanwhile the company rakes in over 500mil every month after all expenses. He couldn't even rent a house so he had to just ja paa for greener pastures.

You've known him for a decade and he was with you few months ago. I believe u know him better than all of us. Don't be worried about him not communicating with you, as it has not always been so since he traveled 5 years ago. He probably traveled to see you in December and he's happy you're pregnant.
He's having financial difficulties and the best you can do is support him with encouraging words and prayers, not complaining.
People abroad also go through difficult times.
If u abort!!! He'll never forgive you and you'll never forgive yourself.

Don't be quick to judge people, especially when you haven't walked in their shoes. I don't think this particular one has been jumping from man to man. Except you know her personally, she hasn't been in another marriage or engagement since Saheed Balogun. If the marriage isn't working, one can take his or her chance with another person. Everyone deserves to be happy. Some can generate their joy from within, while some will be dependent on other people around them. Live and let live!

This man will be her 3rd husband. She was with someone (Tunde) way back before Saheed Balogun. They have a grown up daughter.
Congrats to her and hope it's her final destination.

Honestly, this policy is actually making me to reconsider Lagos as a permanent home.

This is too harsh, this has rendered many families jobless.

I don't have problem much, as my house is on this island, and my workplace too on the island, but what of those who stay on the mainland, trying to get keke that would take them to their office on the island.

I think the state government needs to return them back until alternative measure is being taken.

They should please consider the family biko, I know the nuisance they constitute on the road, but job is key to leave in Lagos.

Before some people will start telling me I am not a lagosian for defending them.

I am born lagosian, and my family house is on the island, that's what have been saving me, just 30min trek to Victoria island where I work.

Cool to know you trek 30 mins to work. Iyana ipaja to Agege, mile 2 to Coconut is also 30 mins (approx) trek.
We'll survive.

EcoBrick:

Bro, the regulation you speak of is easier said than done. These okada people had turned Lagos to the Okada capital of Africa. Like Jimi himself acknowledged, these riders pose a serious security risk which even the police have demonstrated their inability to effectively manage, not to mention the extortionist angle on the police' part as well. Strange people from God knows where (some say from as far away as Chad and Mali) just enter Lagos in truckloads solely for Okada business. Last time I checked, Lagos isn't the only state in Nigeria. There are similar bans in effect in some other states and the riders from such states just pack themselves in trucks and enter Lagos for Okada business. It may be a bitter pill to swallow for now but I believe Lagosians would adjust to it.

Correct yan.
Firstly, Fashola several times restricted them from riding on the highways, but after two weeks they are back there with police ready to collect egunje.
Secondly, those Mali and Niger people are too much and it's a big risk for security.
Thirdly, if u think people in developed countries don't trek at all, then u missing out. Lots of my friends trek for 10-15 mins from their various homes to the nearest Metro station daily.

Politics / Re: Amotekun: Ebonyi Said South-West Governors ‘Stole’ Their Security Idea by Swallowurspit(m): 2:58pm On Jan 14, 2020
Wallade:

After Nigeria's independence in 1960, the cinema business rapidly expanded, with new cinema houses being established.[14] As a result, Nigerian content in theatres increased in the late 1960s into the 1970s, especially productions from Western Nigeria, owing to former theatre practitioners such as Hubert Ogunde and Moses Olaiya transitioning into the big screen.[15][16] In 1972, the Indigenization Decree was issued by Yakubu Gowon, which demands the transfer of ownership of about a total of 300 film theatres from their foreign owners to Nigerians, which resulted in more Nigerians playing active roles in the cinema and film.[17] The oil boom of 1973 through 1978 also contributed immensely to the spontaneous boost of the cinema culture in Nigeria, as the increased purchasing power in Nigeria made a wide range of citizens to have disposable income to spend on cinema going and on home television sets.[15] After several moderate performing films, Papa Ajasco (1984) by Wale Adenuga became the first blockbuster, grossing approximately ₦61,000 (approx. 2015 ₦21,552,673) in three days. A year later, Mosebolatan (1985) by Moses Olaiya also went ahead to gross ₦107,000 (approx. 2015 ₦44,180,499) in five days.[18]

After the decline of the Golden era, Nigerian film industry experienced a second major boom in the 1990s, supposedly marked by the release of the direct-to-video film Living in Bondage (1992); the industry peaked in the mid 2000s to become the second largest film industry in the world in terms of the number of annual film productions, placing it ahead of the United States and behind only India.

As long there are Igbos like Ogbonnaya Onu Ph.D in APC they will vie for the ticket too, if it goes SW, then the flagbearer should be prepared to face North+East ticket in PDP. It is simple.

If Ogbonnaya becomes APC's flag bearer (quite impossible though), then APC has lost already.
If Easterners couldn't vote for the late Ojukwu who is their warrior, who is Ogbonnaya.
