helinues: Let their citizens chop their presidents, or perhaps, IMF could help instead of lamenting.
We are not big brother of Africa for nothing.
Abeg, even though I have plied through the Benin border enroute Ghana before? Is their any other land border we shared with Ghana that I am not aware of? Why are the Ghanaians crying more than the bereaved Beninese and Nigeriens? Where was ghana mentioned in the article why do u refuse to use ur brain...! |

Nodogragra4me: Lagos economy is the fifth-largest economy in Africa. It is bigger than Ghana’s economy as a country. You can check with Google Yet the average Ghanaian is better off than an average Nigerian where has ur giant of Africa largest economy taken you lolz... My salary as an average Ghanaian can feed ur entire village for a month Convert GH3k to naira |

Nodogragra4me: Border is already closed. Closed to both Nigerian and Ghana business community. Nigeria is Ghana highest customer within the West Africa belt. The largest chunk of the consumables manufactured in Ghana are sold here. From drinks to textiles.
Things that are manufactured in Nigeria are largely consumed in Nigeria.
Nigeria can absorb the economic distortion om the imbroglio better than Ghana because she has the resources: people and capital and the opportunities.
For all the praise on Ghana, the economy is not and cannot match that of Lagos state alone. Beniin port is one of the budget in Africa because of Nigeria...All the imports from Benin for just a month, if distributed to their people who are qualified for them, will have surplus Nigerian goods are entering Ghana as I speak our borders are wide open that’s what I meant...after all ur beef is with Benin republic not Ghana .. And please spare me that economic jargon of Lagos having a bigger economy than Ghana please is stale Lagos state as rich as it is cannot be compared to the Republic of Ghana. |

Nodogragra4me: Ghana is not doing those shop owners any special favour. The government certainly benefits from those economic activities. On the other hand, opening our border to them is a favour. If we keep our border close, some companies in Ghana and their stock ps will experience a glut, leading to retrenchment and revenue loss to their government.
Compared to the cross border trade, those shops are nothing. When push comes to shove, migrants will answer their names as migrants and leave, Ghana further compounding a bad situation for ghana for even property prices will feel the exodus. Bros what u need to know is that Nigeria can not hurt ghana in a way that ghana can not hurt nigeria the affect will be felt by both sides. All this initial gra gra by Nigeria what do u think will happen if Ghana decides to close its borders to Nigerian traders n goods.. |

Nodogragra4me: We have already lived with the worst of Ghana bad behavior. They can only rehash them.
We can keep the border close and in months, body go tell them.
It is less than two months and they are already jumping over the heads of our close border neighbors to engage in high level diplomatic talks over the closure. It’s a lie u’ve not seen the worse from Ghana and in fact Ghana has never retaliated against Nigeria even wen some Nigerians went on a kidnapping and robbery spree Ghanaian have always been calm about it ... wen the southis were slaughtering u in ur numbers Ghana equally sympathized with u. What happend in Kumasi where some shops were closed were minimal and uncoordinated now multiply that by just a hundred and see the commotion that will erupt mind you there are more Nigerians in Ghana than vice versa.. |

DonBenny77: Oya go Aflao border go see wetin dey happen there next go Tudu(Accra) ask the aboki them wey dey change dollar there say how market then enter kantamanto go ask the traders how far? The lady I get my shoes from buys from Togo and Ghana and transports down to PH her goods have been stuck for about 2 months now. So whose going to buy when border is closed. Ask the transporters how market these days. Then go to Vienna city circle go ask the hustlers how far. Finally Nigerians are affected as well but we be giant na them go feel am pass. You must be joker how does this affect the average Ghanaian? Those affected would be those aboki n Igbo traders who buy n sell in Ghana. Nigeria is a giant only to those small small countries like Togo Benin and niger not Ghana get this in your thick skull bros..! |
